Abstract

Stunting is one of the global nutritional problems in children, where around 161 million toddlers in the world experience stunting. Education and family understanding of nutrition have an impact on stunting. West Halmahera Regency ranks first in the number of stunted toddlers compared to other districts/cities in North Maluku. The prevalence of children under five (toddlers) who have short and very short nutritional status in 2018 was 35.26%. When viewed from the consumption patterns of toddlers in Bangko Hamlet, they generally consume more than one type of carbohydrate, including rice, cassava, and sago. Most of them only consume vegetable side dishes such as tempeh and tofu 2-6 times per week. As for animal-based dishes, more than 90% of them consume these every day and at least once a day. The general objective of this PKM is to improve the knowledge and skills of mothers of toddlers in compiling menus and processing local fish-based food ingredients as an effort to prevent stunting in toddlers. The method used in this study was to socialize and demonstrate fish-based menus in an effort to reduce stunting rates as a form of prevention. The results of community service can be seen from the increase in community knowledge in three aspects: knowledge of efforts to prevent stunting (89.1%), knowledge of making banana fish porridge (73%), and knowledge of fish roulade with the addition of carrots (67.6%).

Abstract

Work stress is a psychological pressure that can trigger both physical and mental health problems, ultimately affecting employees’ productivity and well-being. This study aims to analyze the relationship between age and length of service with work stress among gas station operators in Watang Sawitto District, Pinrang Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 32 gas station operators as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between age and work stress (p = 0.001), as well as between length of service and work stress (p = 0.002). The novelty of this research lies in its focus on occupational stress factors among gas station operators—a workforce group that is rarely studied despite their exposure to repetitive tasks, environmental hazards, and customer interaction stressors. The practical implications of this study highlight the importance of workplace stress management programs, including periodic psychological assessments and work schedule adjustments, to maintain operator performance and occupational health.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Cooperative Learning strategies combined with Peer Feedback in improving the English-speaking skills of tenth-grade students at SMK Qamarul Huda during the academic year 2025/2026. Employing a quantitative approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design, the research involved 21 students as participants. Data were collected using speaking performance assessments focusing on fluency, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. Statistical analyses were conducted using paired sample t-tests with SPSS version 29. Results revealed a significant improvement in students’ speaking performance after the implementation of Cooperative Learning and Peer Feedback, with the mean score rising from 62.7 (pre-test) to 72.2 (post-test). The paired sample t-test indicated a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, confirming a statistically significant difference. Findings demonstrate that Cooperative Learning fosters interaction and participation, while Peer Feedback provides constructive reflection and correction, thus enhancing confidence and linguistic accuracy. The study concludes that integrating these two approaches is effective in fostering meaningful and interactive speaking practice for vocational school students.
