Abstract

Wounds are skin disorders caused by pathological processes. Abrasion wounds are a type of acute injury. One of the contributing factors is traffic accidents. More than 1.2 million people died as a result of traffic accidents, while 20-50 million others suffered injuries. Choosing the proper dressing can determine wound healing. This case study aims to determine the effectiveness of silicone wound dressing in the healing process of contaminated abrasion wounds. Contaminated abrasion wounds are contaminated by dirty materials, which potentially cause infection. This case report describes four patients, Mrs. W, Mrs. K, Mr. Y, and Mr. M., who suffered abrasions on the face. Their wounds were cleaned in the operating room under general anesthesia. A silicone wound dressing is applied as the primary dressing. The secondary dressing depends on the amount of the exudate. On the 3rd day after the surgery, the wounds looked dry, so they were cleaned and reapplied with the silicone dressing. On the 7th day, after applying silicone wound dressing, the wound had epithelialized. Silicone wound dressing is a modern type of dressing that is effective for acute wounds as it provides a barrier against external contamination. Our sample shows that wound are abrasion contaminated. The result of silicone wound dressings applied was shown accelerate the wound healing process. Modern dressings accelerate wound healing 20% to 40% faster than conventional dressings, such as gauze, tulle, or gauze.

Abstract

Hemangioma is a vascular anomaly that is benign and generally occurs in children. ISVVA 2018 classifies vascular anomalies into two categories, namely vascular malformations and vascular tumors (hemangioma). The prevalence of hemangioma is higher in low birth weight babies, premature babies, and girls. Several theories suggest that hemangiomas are caused by vasculogenesis and angiogenesis or an imbalance between angiogenic and antiangiogenic factors. Hemangiomas grow through a proliferation phase, involution phase, and post-involution phase. Hemangioma classification is based on the depth of the lesion, time of appearance of the lesion, distribution of the lesion, and its relationship to syndrome complication.. Diagnosis of hemangioma is based on anamnesis, physical examination, and supporting examinations which include USG, MRI, and CT-Scan. Hemangiomas that lead to complications should require immediate treatment. Hemangioma treatment can be done with topical therapy, systemic therapy (propranolol, corticosteroids, β-blockers, vincristine, rapamycin), laser therapy (PDL, diode, Nd: YAG, argon, KTP, CO2, IPL), and other treatments consisting of from surgical and non-surgical procedures (bleomycin injection).

Abstract

Burn injuries, causing approximately 180,000 deaths. Skin grafting serves as a cornerstone intervention in burn injury management. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of different types of skin grafts in promoting the healing process of burn injuries. The outcomes of the study were the reepithelialization time and repigmentation rate of skin graft. Quality appraisal was done using ROBINS-I and the Newcastle Ottawa Scale, while network and single arm meta-analysis were conducted using R-Studio. A literature search across 6 databases resulted in the selection of 7 articles. Quality assessment categorized 6 studies as low- and 1 as moderate-risk of bias studies. The device facilitated autologous skin cell increase in reepithelialization rate (OR=5.21; 95% CI=0.24-114.41), followed by autologous skin cell and synthetic graft (OR=0.47; 95% CI=0.04-5.98), topical agent (OR=0.30; 95% CI=0.06-1.47), and Xenograft (OR=0.09; 95% CI=0.00-4.89). Furthermore, the single-arm meta-analysis showed an overall repigmentation rate of 61.49%, with xenograft displaying the highest repigmentation rate (87.50%), followed by synthetic graft (70.32%), and autologous skin cell (37.54%). Xenografts have proven effective in promoting burn wound healing. Nevertheless, the outstanding efficacy and minimal repigmentation of device-facilitated autologous skin cell transplantation highlight its potential in clinical practice.

Abstract

In complex industrial environments such as integrated refinery and petrochemical systems, operational mistakes and unexpected unit shutdowns pose significant strategic challenges. These incidents not only disrupt production continuity but also create substantial financial and safety risks. This study examines the strategic role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing operations management by supporting decision-making during abnormal conditions. A real-case-based simulation was conducted using dynamic models of an integrated plant configuration, with experienced operators performing under both AI-assisted and conventional manual scenarios. Four shutdown scenarios, both detected and undetected, were simulated to evaluate adaptability, multitasking capacity, and resilience. Performance was measured using five key indicators: time to production target, product yield, operational deviations, utility efficiency, and inventory utilization. Statistical analysis employing the Mann–Whitney U test and Bayesian inference revealed that AI assistance significantly enhanced operator performance across all dimensions, particularly by reducing errors and optimizing response times. This research contributes to the ongoing transformation of industrial decision-making by highlighting AI’s potential to improve resilience, reduce cognitive load, and mitigate risks under operational uncertainty. Although limitations related to sample size and scenario diversity are acknowledged, they do not undermine the reliability or practical applicability of the findings for managerial decision support systems.

Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Indonesian banking industry has driven transformation in operational processes, especially in improving customer service in the business initiation process. However, in addition to the business initiation process, AI can be used in the credit collection process, where Bank XYZ is one of the state-owned banks that is a pioneer in the use of AI-based Collection Systems for credit collection activities. This study aims to analyze and find out how user perception, including risk perception, affects users' sustainable intentions towards the AI-based Collection System at Bank XYZ with a quantitative approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire with respondents using the Collection System (employees) in the billing division at Bank XYZ. The data that has been collected is analyzed through 3 (three) stages, namely the preparation of the questionnaire (pre-test), the main analysis using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with an outer model measurement model to understand the basic characteristics of the research sample, and the structural model measurement stage using an inner model to assess the relationship between research variables and hypothesis testing using bootsrapping. The research update lies in the analysis of the use of AI in the back end process in banking (credit collection) and the identification of risk perception as a factor that also influences Continuous Intention (CI), in addition to other traditional variables in the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM). The results show that users' perception of intelligence, human nature, and usefulness of AI technology.
