Abstract

Patient registration is the initial stage of medical records in every health care facility, at the patient registration site the patient's personal identity data will be recorded as well as the purpose of his visit to the hospital. The reason for choosing the service topic is because many patients and families still do not understand the flow of outpatient patient registration at the hospital. The service method used is the pre-post test method through giving questionnaires about knowledge about the flow of outpatient registration. The result of this service activity is an increase in knowledge about the flow of outpatient patient registration. This activity is very important because patients and families need fast and precise service, so it is necessary to provide counseling or socialization about the flow of outpatient registration.

Abstract

Adolescents are the next generation who are currently in an important transitional stage toward adulthood. At this phase, they are highly vulnerable to various influences, including a lack of knowledge about reproductive health, the risk of stunting, and the impacts of early marriage. In response to these conditions, a community service activity was conducted at the Auditorium of STIKes Gunung Maria Tomohon, Tomohon City, with the aim of providing health education to students so that they can better understand the importance of adolescents’ role in preventing stunting and the negative impacts of early marriage. The program was carried out in three stages: planning in collaboration with the BKKBN team and the school, delivering interactive health education using engaging media, and evaluation through a question-and-answer session. A total of 164 students enthusiastically participated in the activity, and the discussion results revealed that reproductive health and early marriage were their primary concerns. It is expected that through continuous education, adolescents will be able to make wiser decisions for their future and contribute to stunting prevention within their communities. Programs like this are essential to be held regularly and to reach more schools.

Abstract

Elderly is when a person becomes older and experiences a decline in physical function, which is characterized by a decrease in muscle mass and strength, maximum heart rate, increased body fat, and decreased brain function. The reason for choosing the service topic is because elderly people cannot do activities for long enough and have to do more activities at home, which causes them to feel anxious about their condition and experience stress, which has an impact on their quality of life. The service method used is the lecture and talk show method with elderly people suffering from hypertension. The result of this service activity is that there is an increase in knowledge about the management of hypertension in the elderly. This activity is very important to carry out, especially targeting elderly people with hypertension because the elderly are no longer able to carry out activities and are unable to comply with taking anti-hypertension medication, so they need to be provided with counseling or socialization regarding the management of hypertension.

Abstract

Gunung Maria Hospital Tomohon has implemented Electronic Medical Records (EMR) since 2023. However, technical challenges and user unpreparedness hinder implementation. Evaluation using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is crucial to identify user perceptions. This study aims to assess the relationship between perceived usefulness, ease of use, behavioral intention, and actual use with EMR implementation. A quantitative cross-sectional design was used, involving 70 respondents. Data were analyzed using chi-square tests. The results show significant associations between EMR implementation and all TAM variables. Optimal EMR implementation supports service quality and administrative efficiency. In conclusion, EMR optimization should focus on training, technical support, and managerial policy.

Abstract

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system brings major changes in the healthcare system. EMR transforms conventional medical records into digital medical records (EMR), thus addressing many issues, such as data loss (data security), difficulty reading handwriting, and the need for large storage space. By improving the quality of EMR, all its advantages will be reversed and will lead to patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to identify, understand, and analyze the quality of EMR in improving health services and technology access in improving patient satisfaction at Gunung Maria Hospital, Tomohon. This type of quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design , with a sample of 216 inpatients ( purposive sampling ), using a simple random sampling method with a probability sampling (PS) technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The results of the study obtained an R2 value of 0.993 (p = 0.000) on the predictor of service speed having a very strong and significant influence on patient satisfaction. On the predictor of data accuracy, the R2 value of 0.981 (p = 0.000), indicating that data accuracy is an important factor that has a very strong and significant influence on patient satisfaction. Information transparency predictor, R2 value = 0.983 (p = 0.000) which indicates that information transparency significantly influences patient satisfaction. In general, EMR quality (service speed, data accuracy and information transparency) influences patient satisfaction (p = 0.019). The results of the simultaneous test obtained that the predictor of service speed most influences patient satisfaction, with a value of p = 0.000. There is a need for a policy on service procedures in hospitals that includes service speed.

Abstract

Hyperbilirubinemia is a condition characterized by elevated bilirubin levels in newborns that clinically appear as jaundice. This study aimed to describe the implementation of nursing care in newborns diagnosed with hyperbilirubinemia in a hospital setting. A descriptive case study approach was used involving three newborns with hyperbilirubinemia treated at Gunung Maria General Hospital, Tomohon, in March 2024. Data were obtained through comprehensive nursing care processes including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The findings indicated that the infants experienced neonatal jaundice accompanied by hyperthermia, risk of impaired skin integrity, risk of infection, and parental anxiety. Nursing interventions were carried out through phototherapy management, breastfeeding education, hyperthermia management, infection prevention, and maintenance of skin integrity. After four days of nursing care, bilirubin levels decreased and the identified nursing problems showed improvement. The implementation of nursing care, particularly phototherapy combined with supportive interventions, contributed to the improvement of the infants’ condition and reduction of bilirubin levels.

Abstract

Abstract

Stroke is a disease that can cause the first number of disabilities and their events occur suddenly, which can cause severe disability or death. The disability has an effect on the psychological state so that it can experience depression with symptoms of feeling helpless, ashamed of the situation which can result in quality of life decreased. Many factors affect the quality of life, one of which is self efficacy. Self efficacy is the most important factor that is very influential on stroke patients. Someone with high self efficacy can increase higher motivation so they have the desire to recover quickly. This study aims to determine the relationship between self efficacy and quality of life in patients after stroke. This research is an observational analytic with study cross sectional design. The sampling method using non-probability sampling techniques through consecutive sampling , amounting to 76 respondents. The instrument used was in the form of a questionnaire, the test used in this study was the statistical test chi-square because there was a value of count <5 and anvalue of expected count> 20% then continued with the merging of cells so that the table changed to 2x2 and the value of p = 0,000 was obtained with the level significance of α = 0.05 which is read in Fisher's Exact Test. This shows that the value of p <α means that there is a relationship of self efficacy with quality of life in patients after stroke in the South Sulawesi Provincial Hospital. It is expected that patients after stroke have high self efficacy so they can act in a positive direction in order to improve their health status so that the quality of life also increases Keywords: Self Efficacy, Quality Of Life, Stroke
