Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are an important part of the Indonesian economy to improve people's welfare. Pak Fadli's Tempe UKM located in Parerejo Village, Purwodadi District, faces the problem of fierce competition in the tempeh industry and the lack of information obtained by business actors regarding modern technology in the marketing system. Using SWOT Analysis and BCG Matrix, this study aims to find out internal and external factors and what strategies can be used for the growth of Mr. Fadli's tempe business. The results showed using a SWOT Analysis that Pak Fadli's Tempe SMEs had a higher total strength score (4.08) than a total weakness score (3.17), which placed him in Quadrant I. This shows that Pak Fadli's Tempe SMEs should use all their strengths to take advantage of the best opportunities. According to Matrix BCG's calculations, Pak Fadli's Tempe SMEs are in Quadrant III (Cash Cows) with a total market share value of 1.03 and a market growth value of 2.4%. Because it has a large market share but is in a slow-growing sector. Increasing market share and expanding distribution networks is one strategy that can be used. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide recommendations for development strategies and the right marketing strategy for Pak Fadli Tempe SMEs to be able to compete with their competitors.

Abstract

A trading business is a business that is engaged in buying and selling products. Trading businesses can engage in various types of products that are sold for consumer, business, or government purposes. One of them is UD. Rambak Dudung is trying to buy raw materials in large quantities to keep in store if the supply runs out and demand in the market increases. With the excess of raw materials, it can cause storage costs, which can reduce UD's profits. aforementioned. So this shows that the supply of raw materials is a fairly big problem. This study aims to determine the application of the Just in time method to UD. Rambak Dudung and knew the role of the Just in time method in improving production cost efficiency in UD. Rambak Dudung. The type of research used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by interviews, internet searches and library studies. The data processed is the purchase and use of raw materials. The calculation technique used is to calculate the total production cost based on company policies, the EOQ method, and the JIT/EOQ method. Based on the results of the calculation, it was concluded that the inventory policy carried out by the company has not been maximally seen from the total production costs incurred of Rp.5,853,500,- compared to the JIT/EOQ method of Rp.2,588,436,- so that the total cost saved is Rp.3,265,064.

Abstract

This study analyzed the causes of rejects in broiler egg production using the Six Sigma DMAIC method. Seven main types of defects were found: Miss (18.52%) caused by the parent being too old, Thin (13.74%) due to lack of vitamins and vaccines, Small (3.46%) due to the parent being too young, Dirty (8.16%) due to the parent laying eggs in the wrong place, Crack Farm (35.93%) due to the parent laying eggs in the wrong place, Crack Hatchery (12.37%) due to careless egg transfer process, and Damage (5.47%) due to damage during transfer and grading. To reduce the reject rate, the proposed actions include: paying attention to the age of the parent for Miss defects, providing vitamins and vaccinations for Thin defects, ensuring the parent is old enough for Small defects, ensuring the parent lays eggs in the right place for Dirty and Crack Farm defects, and tightening supervision during transfer and grading of eggs for Crack Hatchery and Damage defects. The implementation of these actions is expected to improve the quality of broiler egg production.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the right forecasting method in determining the amount of raw material needs and the amount of safety stock to minimize errors in the purchase of soybean raw materials at Pak Fadli Tempe UKM. The benefit of this research is that it can reduce the excess or shortage of raw materials through forecasting methods, as well as determine the need for the right amount of safety stock. In this study, there are 3 permalan methods used, namely moving average, exponential smoothing and naive method, as well as determining the need for safety stock of raw materials that will be used as a reference for future demand for Pak Fadli Tempe UKM. From the results of this study, it can be seen that of the 3 forecasting methods used, the best method with the smallest error value is the exponential smootihing method a = 0.1, with an error value of MAD of 90, MSE of 10,181, and MAPE of 6.9. Meanwhile, in the calculation of safety stock with a service level value of 95%, the lead time is 3 days, so that the recommended safety stock value can be known as 289 kg.
