Abstract

Student scientific literacy is still low categorized. One of the reasons is that students are memorizing natural science (IPA) materials, which result in poor understanding of science concepts. This study examines the effectiveness of the STEM Oriented Project Based Learning model for elementary science knowledge competencies. This type of research is a Quasi-experiment using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population was fifth-grade elementary school students, 209 students. This study uses two sample groups, the experimental group, and the control group. The research sample was obtained through random sampling techniques and had passed the equality test. The experimental group in this study amounted to 33 students, and the control group was 30 students. Data were collected using an ordinary multiple-choice objective test and then analyzed by polled variance t-test. The data analysis results showed that t = 2,237> t table = 2,000, with a significance level of 5% and dk = 61 so that H0 was rejected. It means that there is an influence of science knowledge competence between the experimental and control groups. Applying the STEM-oriented project-based learning model can make students more motivated to learn to make it easier to understand science materials.

Abstract

This study wants to know how the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning method affects students' participation and learning outcomes in science lessons in grade IV of SD Gugus Tuanku Imam Bonjol. In this study, a control group design was used after treatment. For example, 59 students were randomly selected. The results showed that students who used TGT were more active and more successful than students who learned in the usual way. The results showed that students who used the TGT method were more active and more successful than students who learned in the usual way. This finding encourages the use of the TGT model in teaching science to make learning more effective. MANOVA analysis in this study revealed that: (1) The total F statistic was recorded at 0.999 with a significant value of 0.000. The fact that the value is smaller than 0.05 indicates that learning outcomes and participation are significantly impacted by the use of learning media. (2) Learning Outcomes has a significance value of 0.000. The null hypothesis (H0) is rejected because this result is likewise less than 0.05. H0 is rejected, indicating a significant difference in learning participation based on the TGT Learning Model treatment. This indicates that the TGT Learning Model teaching method clearly influences learning outcomes; (3) the significance value set for learning participation also displays the number 0.000, which is also less than 0.05.

Abstract

This study seeks to determine the execution of an independent curriculum during the educational journey in terms for contructivism theory. This category of research involves bibliography, In the data gathering process of this research, two categories of data were collected: primary data and secondary data. Information acquired through research conducted in the library. The methodology employed for data collection is a literature review. The analysis of data in this research employs deductive qualitative analysis techniques. The outcome of the research acquired indicates that implementation of independent curriculum affects the process of learning. This can be observed from the change in the educational journey that offers chances for student for optimize the deepening of concepts and strengthe competencies. The execution of the autonomous curriculum has in impact of strengthening learner's traits or qualities and deepening skills through a knowledge construction process that is in line with constructivism theory.
