Abstract

he increase in production and consumption in the graphic industry has had a negative impact on theenvironment, especially related to the waste produced. Solid, liquid, and gas waste produced by this industry, includingwaste paper, chemicals, and emissions from the printing process, contribute to air, land, and water pollution. This studyaims to analyze the implementation of an effective recycling system in the graphic industry as an effort to reduceenvironmental pollution. The research method used is a case study in several graphic companies that have adopted arecycling system, focusing on the paper recycling process, the use of environmentally friendly inks, and chemical wastemanagement. Data were collected through interviews, field observations, and document analysis related to companypolicies and environmental audit results. The results of the study show that the implementation of an integrated recyclingsystem can reduce waste volume by up to 60%, increase the efficiency of raw material use by up to 30%, and significantlyreduce carbon emissions from the production process. In addition, companies that implement a recycling system also getadditional benefits in the form of savings in production costs and an improved environmentally friendly image in the eyesof consumers. This study concludes that the implementation of a holistic recycling system in the graphic industry is astrategic step to reduce negative impacts on the environment and encourage more sustainable business practices.

Abstract

Digital printing products are in great demand by print users, this is because the printing process with digital techniques is in line with consumer expectations. Digital printing products include large / wide format in the form of banners, x-baners, indoor and outdoor promotional media, id cards, pins, brochures, and many more print products that can be made with digital printing processes. Consumers as users of digital printing products have reasons why choosing digital printing techniques in the printing process. The effectiveness factor of the digital printing production process has conformity to consumer choices, so that it affects consumers choosing digital printing as a print technique for processing their orders. Then it can be seen that the time of the production process becomes a separate issue in assessing whether the choice of consumers is not based on the time of the production process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of digital printing production process time on consumer satisfaction of print product users. The method used in this study is the ex-postfacto method, the writer examines something that has happened in the field or can be said to research after the incident. The final result of the study states that the production process time does not affect consumers to choose or use digital printing techniques as an option in producing their orders.

Abstract

Abstract — The development of technology on Android has become a smart phone that can be accessed in the palm of your hand. Likewise in measuring the color of an image easily with the colorimetry application on an Android smartphone. In this colorimetric measurement using the Polimedia calendar case study for 2023. The working principle of the colorimeter is to measure the color of an object through three components, namely a light source, a light filter and a photoelectric detector. Each color has its own tristimulus value that distinguishes it from other colors. The colorimeter provides measurements that can be correlated with human eye-brain perception and provides real-time tristimulus (L, a, and b) values. The application of the colorimetry method to detect the dominant color of an image is quite fast in its detection. Consists of the colors Red, Green, and Blue (RGB). Broadly speaking, there are 3 colors used in the Polimedia calendar for 2023, namely scarlet violet (R: 57; G: 41; B: 103), silver (R: 189 G: 192 B: 199), (R: 185 G: 188 B:203), (R:190 G:197 B:215), (R:185 G:191 B:205), (R:190 G:198 B:211), (R:193 G:197 B : 209), Light Steel Blue (R: 190 G: 197 B: 215), (R: 190 G: 197 B: 215), (R: 185 G: 190 B: 209), (R: 192 G: 199 B: 217), (R: 187 G: 194 B: 212), (R: 190 G: 195 B: 214). Overall, the appearance of the 2023 Polimedia calendar is harmonious and balanced. There is overlap between design elements but does not provide significant interference. Typography has high legibility. Keywords: colorimetry, analysis, color, smartphone, android.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of compensation, work environment, and motivation on employee job satisfaction at Medan Art Work. This creative industry enterprise relies heavily on employee performance and innovation. The research employed a quantitative approach using a causal associative design. The population consisted of 118 employees, all of whom were selected as the research sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire utilizing a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using the SPSS statistical software to perform multiple linear regression. The findings revealed that compensation, work environment, and motivation each have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, both simultaneously and partially. The results highlight that financial rewards, a supportive physical and social work setting, and psychological drive are crucial components in enhancing job satisfaction in the creative sector. These findings support motivational theories, such as Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, the Job Characteristics Model, and Self-Determination Theory. The study contributes to the theoretical understanding of job satisfaction in creative work environments and provides practical insights for human resource policies. Organizations in similar industries are encouraged to adopt integrated strategies that enhance employee satisfaction by aligning compensation, workplace conditions, and motivational programs.
