<![CDATA[The development of science and technology in the digital era of Four Point Zero has a great impact on the world of education. One of them is by utilizing e-learning applications in the learning process. However, the technology used in this learning is too dependent on the internet network. Therefore, the research aims to develop a media in the form of an Android-based e-learning application that can be used online and offline. This study uses a research and development design using the ADDIE model. To create and test these products, in this case an Android-based e-learning application. Procedure This research was carried out through 6 stages, namely needs analysis, application design stage, development, data analysis, evaluation, and development of a final product that is ready to be used. From the results of the material validation test and the feasibility of the developed application media, it is very feasible to use.]]>

<![CDATA[The utilization of social media is not limited to get entertained but it is now used to support the online learning process. Instagram, one of the social media applications, provides its users with verified accounts that are authentic and notable. This allows English learners to get the supporting materials to study reading and listening. Moreover, the features in Instagram are suitable to present the students with authentic materials in English from natives. This study aims to find out whether using materials taken from Instagram verified accounts enhance students’ skills in reading and listening to English. Social Media Language Learning (SMLL) is used as the approach to teaching the students several skills they might need for the international test. An experimental study method is applied while the data collection uses both quantitative and qualitative methods. Pretest and posttest are administered to perceive the students’ academic progress whereas interviews are organized to collect certain students’ opinions about this study. The participants of this study are 30 vocational learners in the fourth semester major in Graphic Design (Multimedia Concentration) at Polimedia PSDKU Medan. Following the evaluation of the students’ scores after each assessment and interviews after the training; the results reveal students’ improvement academically. As the findings indicate that social media language learning by using Instagram verified account enhances students’ ability in reading and listening and adequately supports creative and efficient learning.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the needs analysis of basic English (General English) courses for vocational higher education students, focusing on analyzing targets and learning needs. Data were obtained from questionnaires and interviews. The research results in the form of target analysis indicate that the purpose of learning English for vocational students is to communicate using English actively both orally and in writing. The results of the analysis of learning needs obtained are that students need the ability to speak fluently and communicatively and write correctly and adequately to prepare themselves to meet the demands of their profession. This shows that the desire of students to improve their speaking and writing skills is very much in line with the needs of the industry, which requires the ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing well. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for preparing the syllabus and developing textbooks.]]>

<![CDATA[Laboratorium Teknik Grafika memiliki banyak kendala dalam pelaksanaan proses praktikum seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan biaya. Penyediaan peralatan dan kebutuhan bahan praktikum membutuhkan biaya yang besar sedangkan dana yang tersedia terbatas. Kelayakan Peralatan praktikum juga minim karena kualitas rendah. Fokus penelitian ini adalah adalah perancangan Virtual Laboratory pada Praktikum Pengujian Bahan Grafika Perancangan Praktikum secara virtual dapat mengurangi kegiatan tatap muka khususnya karena Pandemi Covid 19 dan mempermudah dalam penyampaian materi dari dosen kepada praktikan. <![CDATA[Kasus Covid-19 di Indonesia semakin meningkat. Sehingga Masyarakat dituntut untuk mematuhi protokol kesehatan, salah satunya menjaga kebersihan tangan, seperti mencuci tangan dengan baik dan benar atau menggunakan cairan pembersih tangan (hand sanitizer) ketika beraktivitas di luar ruangan. Hand sanitizer pada umumnya cenderung menggunakan bahan-bahan kimia yang berdampak kurang baik bagi kesehatan dan lingkungan. Efek penggunaan hand sanitizer dari bahan kimia akan membuat kulit kering dan iritasi. Melihat kekurangan tersebut maka dibutuhkan alternatif pembuatan hand sanitizer dari bahan alami yang lebih ramah terhadap kesehatan dan lingkungan. Bahan alami yang dapat digunakan menjadi hand sanitizer salah satunya adalah daun sirih dikarenakan komponen utamanya terdiri dari bethel phenol dimana bethel phenol ini adalah derivat dari alkohol yang dipercayai dapat mendenaturasi bakteri dan virus, terutama virus yang diselubungi protein seperti virus corona. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan sosialisasi pembuatan Hand sanitizer di SMAN 19 Medan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa-siswi dalam pembuatan hand sanitizer secara mandiri menggunakan bahan alami. Diakhir kegiatan ini diharapkan siswa-siswi dapat mempraktekkan pembuatan hand sanitizer alami secara mandiri.]]>

<![CDATA[Paper soap itself is one of the innovations of soap products that are thin like paper, this paper soap will dissolve when exposed to water and rubbed on the hands will produce foam. Paper soap is generally used as disposable hand soap because of its small and thin size, making it easy to carry anywhere and suitable for use when doing activities outside the home. To foster creativity on how to recycle used paper into paper soap as a practical solution to bring soap to maintain hand hygiene when you have to do activities outside the home. The method of providing material with lecture and question and answer methods, pre and post tests and the practice of making paper soap from paper waste, consisting of 25 madrasah children in Uswah Al-Islam, especially the MDTA class. This activity resulted in students' creativity in the form of soap made from waste paper, and then the students were given questions in the form of essays with the average results of the pre-test and post-test scores of 25 children being 60.72 and 84.96, it can be seen that post test results increased after being given training in making paper soap. This training can provide the ability and foster creativity of students to make paper soap from paper waste that can be used to maintain hand hygiene.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is a design on the manufacture of environmentally friendly paving blocks from plastic waste. Paving block is a material that serves as a cover or hardening of the ground surface which can be one solution to deal with plastic problems. The data used by researchers in this study refers to primary and secondary data, primary data obtained directly by researchers in the field by testing the compressive strength at the age of paving blocks 2 and 7 days, namely 2.17 MPa and 28.99 MPa, absorption testing to water 0.76% and 0.59% has no effect on water absorption because plastic is a material that does not easily absorb water. As for the results of resistance testing to sodium sulfate, the results obtained are 0.25% and 0.59%. This is considered good because there are no cracks and physical damage to the paving block. It can be concluded that the used plastic used to make paving blocks meets the requirements of SNI-03-0691-1996 with class C quality.]]>

<![CDATA[Employee discipline is one indicator of an institution that has experienced an increase in good personal qualities. There are so many agencies that are developing and have a good image in the eyes of the public not because the products they produce are good but because of the discipline of employees or employees which causes service performance to their customers to increase. As is the case with the PSDKU Medan Creative Media State Polytechnic Campus, it can develop even better only by exercising discipline to its employees, both educational staff and teaching staff (lecturers). So far, employee discipline has only been monitored based on electric attendance provided by the university. But the problem is the existence of these employees in the institution. Very often some employees are not at the location during working hours so that it can reduce service to students or the community. Currently, on Android, there is GPS (Global Positioning System) technology that can provide location information where the user is during work hours. So by developing an Android application, it can access the location of application users which can prevent employees or employees from being in their proper place. <![CDATA[Perkembangan dunia usaha semakin maju dan segala sesuatunya semakin terikat dengan sosial media. Saat ini, berada pada era media publikasi terjadi perubahan karena inovasi dimana publikasi cetak seperti spanduk dan baliho bergeser menjadi postingan di sosial media seperti Instagram, Facebook, Twiter hingga Tiktok. Kafe X yang telah berdiri sejak 2020 dengan bangunan semi permanen, dan mulai dikunjungi oleh konsumen baik konsumen dari luar daerah maupun lokal tetapi masih dalam jumlah yang minim. Hal ini dikarenakan lokasi jauh dari pusat kota dan kurangnya pengenalan tentang Kafe tersebut. Dengan rancangan video iklan ini diharapkan dapat mengenalkan Kafe X kepada masyarakat luas, baik di dalam kota maupun luar kota yang nantinya sebagai tempat singgah bagi masyarakat. Proses pembuatan video untuk media sosial Kafe x melalui tiga tahapan yakni pra produksi yang meliputi persiapan, tahapan kedua yakni produksi meliputi pengerjaan pengambilan video dan pengeditan menggunakan aplikasi adobe premiere, tahapan ketiga pasca produksi adalah melakukan validasi dan evaluasi terhadap video. Berdasarkan evaluasi dengan metode kualitatif disimpulkan bahwa pemilik dan pakar sinematografi mengatakan bahwa video layak digunakan sebagai media promosi kafe x dan  evaluasi secara kuantitatif dengan memberikan kuesioner kepada 30 responden dengan persentae 52,67 % bahwa video menarik dan efektif dijadikan video promosi kafe x]]>
