Abstract

Tahkim holds an important position in the history of Islamic politics. To date, the event of tahkim has often been presented from non-educational perspectives, such as politics, history, and culture. This research aims to offer a new approach by presenting the history of the tahkim event from the perspective of educational values. The objective of this study is to describe the educational values found in the tahkim event, which will then be presented within the framework of Islamic education studies. The method used is library research, followed by reading analysis using content analysis. In the data collection process, a descriptive-analytical approach was taken from various sources such as books, articles, and educational journals that are relevant to the content of this article. The research findings focus on four educational values in the tahkim event: religious values, Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyyah), tolerance, and morality. When linked to Islamic educational science, these educational values aim to raise human awareness, helping individuals grow and develop into religious, compassionate, tolerant, morally upright, and devoted worshippers of Allah SWT. Abstract

Islamic education, in terms of quality, still needs to improve to align with the times and emphasize character formation in accordance with the values embedded in religious culture, particularly in shaping the character of students. The research problem addressed in this study is: What are the Educational Values of the Scout's Dasa Dharma within the Context of Islamic Education? Based on this formulation, the objective of this research is to understand the Educational Values of the Scout's Dasa Dharma within the Context of Islamic Education. The research method employed is qualitative and is based on library research, involving the examination of written sources relevant to the research topic. The findings of the study conclude that the educational values of the Scout's Dasa Dharma can significantly contribute to the development of character education aimed at shaping students' thought patterns, attitudes, and behaviors, so that they become individuals with noble character, high moral standards, and a sense of responsibility in their lives. These values can cultivate character education in students, guiding them to refrain from actions that could be harmful to themselves and their surroundings. Consequently, the Islamic character values formed are always relevant to the challenges of the times, as Islamic values are universal and can be embraced by all of humanity. Abstract

The presence of rule violations at SDN 2 Rancabango prompted this research. Additionally, the inconsistent enforcement of school regulations has led to numerous infractions by students. This study aims to understand the implementation of school rules through the use of rewards and punishments in fostering student discipline at SDN 2 Rancabango, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency. The research method used is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach, which involves working with data by recording, collecting, organizing, searching for patterns, identifying important aspects, and analyzing them in written form. Based on observations, interviews, and documentation, it can be concluded that the implementation of school rules, along with the use of rewards and punishments, impacts student discipline at SDN 2 Rancabango. Effective reward systems can motivate students to adhere to school regulations. Every student appreciates rewards, making them a powerful method to ensure compliance with school rules. Abstract

This study is motivated by the researcher’s concern regarding the continuity of the teaching and learning process, particularly in enhancing students' understanding in the subject of Fiqh, especially practical topics. Observations revealed that many ninth-grade students at MTsN 1 Garut struggle with comprehending the practical aspects of washing a deceased body. This necessitates the application of a practical teaching method. The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the understanding of ninth-grade students regarding the practice of washing a deceased body at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Garut; (2) to detail the implementation of the Role Playing method in teaching the practice of washing a deceased body to ninth-grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Garut; (3) to assess the impact of the Role Playing method on students’ understanding of the practice of washing a deceased body. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method aimed at illustrating or describing occurrences in the field. Additionally, it is supported by library research methods. The primary data sources include observations of the learning process and the practical sessions on washing a deceased body conducted at MTsN 1 Garut. Secondary sources consist of books or other reading materials directly related to the research. Data collection techniques involve observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques employed are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Role Playing method in the Fiqh subject and its implications for students’ understanding have successfully met 4 out of 7 understanding indicators. Abstract

This research is motivated by the researcher's attention to the continuity of the teaching and learning process in the use of teaching methods for the subject of Fiqh, particularly in the practical aspects of the subject. According to the researcher's observations, many students in class VII-8 at MTsN 1 Garut still have a limited understanding of the practice of tayammum. Therefore, the application of practical teaching methods is needed. The objective of this research is to describe the implementation of the demonstration teaching method on the practice of tayammum among students in class VII-8 at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Garut. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, which aims to describe or illustrate events in the field. The data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used in this research involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the demonstration method in the Fiqh subject on the practice of tayammum for class VII-8 at MTsN 1 Garut can provide a stimulus for students to practice tayammum correctly. Abstract

The implementation of the Iqra' Method is a technique used in the approach to teaching and learning Quranic recitation. In teaching Quranic recitation, educators should meticulously adhere to the rules of Quranic recitation, including the identification of Arabic letters, proper pronunciation, and recognition of the forms of letters found in the Iqra' books and short Quranic chapters. Precision in pronunciation is crucial as any error can alter the meaning and interpretation of Quranic verses. At MI Muhammadiyah Garut, specifically in grades 1, 2, and 3, the Iqra' Method has been applied for the past seven years as part of a locally developed curriculum. This study aims to describe: (1) The implementation of the Iqra' Method in grades 1, 2, and 3 at MI Muhammadiyah Garut; (2) The introduction to reciting short Quranic chapters in grades 1, 2, and 3 at MI Muhammadiyah Garut; (3) The implications of the Iqra' Method on the introduction to Quranic recitation in grades 1, 2, and 3 at MI Muhammadiyah Garut. The research methodology employed is descriptive, with data collection techniques involving observation, interviews, and documentary analysis. Data analysis comprises data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Iqra' Method at MI Muhammadiyah Garut significantly impacts students' ability to recite the Quran. Students demonstrate increased enthusiasm and proficiency in recognizing Arabic letters, thereby enhancing their ability to recite accurately according to established Quranic recitation principles. Abstract

This research was initiated in response to the observation of students exhibiting poor behavior, such as neglecting prayer, lacking discipline, dishonesty, and irresponsibility. These issues are attributed to the suboptimal effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in enhancing students' moral quality, leading to a decline in their moral standards. This moral degradation is pervasive across all sectors of human life, including among students, who represent the younger generation. The aims of this study are to describe: (1) the moral quality of seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Bayongbong; (2) the effectiveness of PAI instruction in seventh-grade classes at SMPN 3 Bayongbong; and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the effectiveness of PAI instruction in improving the moral quality of seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Bayongbong. This research employs a descriptive method, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis involves steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that while the effectiveness of PAI instruction in enhancing students' moral quality has been achieved, it has not yet reached its full potential. The approach taken by teachers to improve the moral quality of students through effective PAI instruction involves various strategies. These include a persuasive approach both inside and outside the classroom, collaboration with community leaders to provide non-formal education outside school hours, implementing short-term Ramadan boarding programs with incentives for participation, and using constructive authority and guidance to steer student behavior towards positive outcomes. Abstract

Surah Al-Israa’ verses 23-24 serve as a crucial source of educational ideas and concepts for Muslim families. These verses provide foundational guidance on educating children to avoid associating partners with Allah and to show devotion to their parents, aligning with the values prescribed in Islamic law. This study aims to: (1) Understand the definition and significance of Islamic education, (2) Identify the educational values in Surah Al-Israa' verses 23-24 regarding children's conduct towards their parents, and (3) Explore how these values influence the development of students' religious character from the perspective of Islamic education. This research employs a library research methodology, using a content analysis approach. Data sources include primary and secondary materials, gathered through documentation methods involving reading, reviewing, and analyzing Quranic exegesis, Hadith collections, and relevant books. The content analysis method is applied to interpret the meanings embedded in the Quranic text. Subsequent to this interpretation, an in-depth analysis is conducted to address the research questions. The findings reveal that the educational values embedded in Surah Al-Israa' verses 23-24 concerning filial piety include showing kindness to parents, speaking to them with respect, and praying for them. The implications for the development of students' religious character, particularly in the context of 'birrul walidain' (benevolence towards parents), indicate an enhancement in students' behavior towards their parents. This includes increased acts of kindness, patience in caring for parents, avoiding actions that harm parents, demonstrating respect and humility towards them, and praying for their well-being both during their lives and after their death. Abstract

Student learning motivation is anything that drives student behavior, whether it arises within the student (intrinsic) or from outside the individual student (extrinsic). Learning motivation is very important in the learning process to achieve student success in learning. However, in fact the learning motivation of students at MA Al Musaddadiyah Garut shows that it is still low, this is evidenced by the findings of researchers on learning continuity, such as; there are students who skip school, are late for class, are lazy to do assignments, lack enthusiasm in learning, are bored in the learning process and are in class but do not pay attention to the teacher. Professional Skills Practice (PKP) is one of the training programs given to students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) study program which aims to train students to become professional teachers. Thus the researcher will reveal how the process of prospective PAI Teacher students forms himself, is printed his cognitive, mindset so that he is directed to become a profession as a teacher. The purpose of this study was to find out the implications of teacher professionalism and professional practice activities on student learning motivation at MA Al Musaddadiyah Garut for the 2022-2023 academic year. The method used is an analytical descriptive qualitative method, namely a method that aims to describe, describe, and describe in a comprehensive and complete manner related to research. The data sources used in this study are primary sources and secondary sources. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Abraham Maslow developed a model of a hierarchy of needs in understanding student learning motivation, namely: Physiological Needs, Safety Needs, Belongingnees and Love Needs, Esteem Needs, and Self-Actualization Needs. The results of this study indicate that the Implications of Teacher Professional Skills Practice Activities on Learning Motivation Students are able to fulfill 4 out of 5 indicators of learning motivation including Safety Needs, Belonging Needs and Love Needs, Esteem Needs, and Self-Actualization Needs. Abstract

Understanding is the ability to grasp the meaning and significance of the material studied. Currently, students' comprehension in the subject of Fiqh is low, as evidenced by test results showing that 47% of students have not met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). This deficiency may be attributed to the lack of variation in the teaching methods employed by educators during lessons. The cooperative learning model of the team game tournament type is a pedagogical approach that engages all student activities and integrates learning with play, thereby potentially increasing students' interest and comprehension. This study aims to describe the impact of the cooperative learning model, specifically the team game tournament type, on students' understanding of the Fiqh subject. The research method used is a quantitative experimental approach. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, and document analysis, while data processing employs statistical analysis. The findings indicate that the average score of the experimental group before the intervention was 72.8, which increased to 90.2 after the intervention. This is higher compared to the control group, which had an average score of 72.4 before and 81.1 after the intervention. The experimental group was taught using the cooperative learning model of the team game tournament type, while the control group was taught using the traditional lecture method. The t-test results show that the calculated t-value is 2.451, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.701 at a significance level of 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This indicates that there is a significant effect of the cooperative learning model of the team game tournament type on students' understanding in the subject of Fiqh.
