Abstract

The current wave of globalization has made it challenging for children to engage in religious practices, respect others, and resist the influence of external cultures, leading to significant issues regarding students' character. Character education serves as a fundamental cornerstone for a nation and must be instilled in children from an early age. In reality, schools face various moral deviations among students, such as a lack of discipline and responsibility. Examples include not participating in Dhuha prayer as per school regulations, arriving late, not wearing the school uniform, failing to do homework, disobeying school rules, defacing desks, dressing untidily, submitting assignments late, disturbing classmates during lessons, and frequent fighting among peers. In response, one approach implemented is the development of student discipline through Dhuha prayer activities. Teachers conceptualize these activities to enhance students' personalities and improve their discipline. The objectives of this research are: 1) To describe the implementation of Dhuha prayer activities at MA Al-Musaddadiyah Garut, 2) To detail the discipline character of 11th-grade students at MA Al-Musaddadiyah Garut, and 3) To examine the influence of Dhuha prayer activities on developing disciplined character in 11th-grade students at MA Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. This study employs an inferential quantitative method to explore the relationship between the independent variable (Dhuha prayer) and the dependent variable (student discipline character). The subjects of this study are 34 students from the 11th grade at MA Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. The findings reveal that the influence of Dhuha prayer activities scores an average of 4.37, falling within the 4.01-5.00 interval, categorized as "very good." Meanwhile, the disciplined character of the 11th-grade students at MA Al-Musaddadiyah Garut scores an average of 4.42, also within the 4.01-5.00 interval and categorized as "very good." Statistical tests indicate that Dhuha prayer activities contribute to 47.91% of the development of disciplined character in students, with the remaining 53.09% influenced by other factors not examined in this study.  Keywords: Implementation of Dhuha Prayer, Development of Student Discipline Character.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the researcher's concern about the low levels of religious attitudes among students in schools, influenced by the negative impact of foreign cultures on the development of students' religious character. Therefore, there is a need to strengthen students' character within the process of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) learning. The aims of this research are to describe the inculcation of religious character values in students, the teaching of Islamic Cultural History, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in instilling religious character values in SKI learning for 11th-grade students at MAN 1 Garut. This study employs a field research approach with a qualitative methodology, using descriptive analytical methods. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and document analysis involving the school principal, SKI teachers, and 11th-grade students at MAN 1 Garut. Data analysis involves data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that the inculcation of religious character values in Islamic Cultural History learning is achieved through habitual practices, starting lessons with prayers and Quranic recitations, and the method of exemplification by emulating the characters of historical figures. Supporting factors include supervision of learning activities, exemplary behavior from teachers, the principal, parents, the curriculum, and the willingness of students to learn Islamic Cultural History. Inhibiting factors come from two sources: internal factors, such as student laziness, sleepiness, and misuse of mobile phones, and external factors, including family issues (lack of parental attention) and the school environment (peer influence).  Keywords: Inculcation of Religious Character Values, Islamic Cultural History Learning

Abstract

The effectiveness of Tajweed learning among students is a critical aspect of the educational process that deals with the rules and principles of Tajweed for correct Qur'anic recitation. Despite this, challenges remain in students' ability to read the Qur'an in alignment with Tajweed principles. At Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum in Cigedug, Garut, specifically in the seventh grade, the implementation of Tajweed learning for proper Qur'anic recitation has been ongoing for the past several years. This study aims to address the research questions, thereby elucidating: (1) the effectiveness of Tajweed learning among seventh-grade students at MTs Miftahul Ulum Cigedug Garut; (2) the Qur'anic reading abilities of these students; and (3) the impact of effective Tajweed instruction on their Qur'anic reading skills.   The research employs a descriptive analytical method. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of Tajweed instruction significantly enhances students' Qur'anic reading abilities in the seventh grade at MTs Miftahul Ulum Cigedug Garut. The results demonstrate that the teaching of Tajweed is not only effective but also efficient, particularly in the context of classroom activities. This is evidenced by the noticeable improvement in students' ability to recite the Qur'an accurately, adhering to the rules of Tajweed. Keywords : Effectiveness, Learning, Reading Ability

Abstract

Abstract According to Hamka, education is a means to shape the character of the human person who has been born into the world so that he becomes a useful person in his society, so that he knows what is good and what is bad. Apart from that, education must also be based on the belief that above human power there is another supreme power, namely God. Therefore, education must return to educational and religious values. Brain intelligence does not guarantee safety if religious spiritual values ​​are not made the basis. Referring to the problems that occur in the world of education, there are not a few graduates and students who do not master the sciences as they should. This study aims to find educational values ​​according to Al-Qur'an Surah Al-'Alaq 1-5 and to find edicative values ​​of Al-Qur'an Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5 According to the study of Islamic Education This study uses a library research approach, collecting data by conducting a review study of books, literature, notes, and reports that are related to the research problem. Then proceed with the analysis techniques. This research concludes that: First, the educational values ​​contained in Al-Qur'an Surah Al-'Alaq 1-5 are 1) the value of liking to read, 2) the value of monotheism, 3) the value of science, 4) the value of liking writing or orders to produce scientific work, 5) moral values, 6) worship values ​​and piety values. Second, the educational values ​​in Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5 are reading and writing. 2) The value of monotheism, 3) the method of refraction from education, 4) educational media and technology. Qalam in this verse is not limited to the meaning of writing instruments but various equipment related to media and educational technology such as computers, internet, video compact discs, LCDs, projectors, laptops, TVs, newspapers, and so on.

Abstract

Multicultural values in the teachings of the Quran include recognition, respect and acceptance of cultural diversity. The Quran is not only a spiritual guide, but also emphasizes tolerance, justice, and respect for diversity. Therefore, the integration of Quranic values in people's daily lives can strengthen unity, pluralism, and respect for individual rights. For this reason, more in-depth research is needed to analyze the values of multicultural education according to the Qur'an Surah Al-Hujurat verses 11 and 12 using tafsir and associated with the science of Islamic education. The purpose of this research is to describe: 1) Multicultural Education Values According to Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hujurat Verses 11 and 12 & 2) Relevance of Multicultural Education Values According to Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hujurat Verse 11 and 12 with the Study of Islamic Education. This research is one type of literature with the method used is descriptive analytical method. Descriptive analytical method is used to analyze the values of multicultural education. The primary data sources of this research are Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hujurat verses 11 and 12, Tafsir Al-Misbah, Tafsir Al-Azhar, Tafsir Kemenag and Tafsir Al-Munir while secondary data sources are various references that can support this research.The result of this study is that the values of multicultural education according to the Qur'an Surah Al-Hujurat verses 11 and 12 include: peace, humanity, unity, mutual respect, brotherhood and mutual cooperation. The relevance of multicultural education values to the study of Islamic education Both focus on forming individuals who value diversity, respect the rights of others, and have a whole character according to religious teachings and human values, in order to create democratic, humanist, and pluralist individuals in the educational environment.  Keywords: Education Value, Multicultural, Islamic Education Science

Abstract

Muslims have a duty towards the Qur'an to ensure its preservation on Earth from those who seek to destroy it. In addition, safeguarding the integrity of the Qur'an from potential threats or misuse involves perfecting its recitation (al-tilawah), writing (al-kitabah), and memorization (at-tahfidz), encompassing all its content in 30 parts. This effort ensures that the Qur'an remains preserved as a guide for Muslims indefinitely. One method to achieve this is through the Imla’ Manqul learning process, which is still implemented in both formal and informal educational institutions, such as at MTs Ponpes Cipari Garut. The objectives of this research are: (1) To describe the effectiveness of the Muraja'ah memorization method on the Imla’ Manqul skills of students at MTs Ponpes Cipari. (2) To evaluate the effectiveness of the Muraja’ah method on Imla’ Manqul skills and the accuracy of Qur'anic verse writing at MTs Ponpes Cipari. (3) To assess the students' perceptions at MTs Ponpes Cipari regarding the effectiveness of the Muraja'ah memorization method on their Imla’ Manqul skills. This study is a field research with a descriptive-analytical method employing a qualitative approach. Data sources include primary sources, such as books directly related to the research topic of the Muraja’ah memorization method and Imla’ Manqul learning, and secondary sources, including supporting books and texts related to the research. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' Imla’ Manqul abilities and Qur'anic verse writing skills through regular practice and the effectiveness of the Muraja’ah memorization method. The analysis involves perspectives from teachers and the school principal, highlighting the complexity of evaluating the effectiveness of the Muraja’ah method. The Muraja’ah memorization method has proven to provide a strong foundation for enhancing Imla’ Manqul skills and the accuracy of Qur'anic verse writing, and the positive perceptions of students affirm its profound impact on their Imla’ Manqul abilities, demonstrating the effectiveness of the Muraja’ah memorization method. Abstract

The Effectiveness of Imla’ Learning in Grade 2 TMI (Tarbiyatul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyyah) at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Kersamanah Garut. This study highlights the importance of imla’ (dictation) learning in enhancing Arabic writing skills, particularly within the context of Qur'anic instruction at Islamic boarding schools. The National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003 provides the foundation for religious education, including imla’. Professional educators in Islamic boarding schools are expected to integrate educational theory and practice, create a supportive learning environment for holistic development, and possess strong interpersonal skills. The objectives of this research are: 1) to identify the indicators of the effectiveness of imla’ learning in Grade 2 TMI (Tarbiyatul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyyah), 2) to describe the implementation of imla’ learning, and 3) to evaluate the effectiveness of imla’ learning at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Kersamanah Garut. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach. The study was conducted at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Kersamanah Garut, involving Grade 2 TMI students. Data sources include observations, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis techniques involve data reduction, data presentation, in-depth exploration in line with the research problems, and drawing conclusions to yield accurate findings. The results indicate that the indicators of effective imla’ learning include proficiency in writing Hijaiyah letters, understanding Arabic grammar, the ability to write sentences and verses from the Qur'an, and the capability to spell words correctly. The implementation of imla’ learning at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School encompasses initial, core, and concluding activities. This study concludes that imla’ learning at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Kersamanah Garut, is effective in enhancing the Arabic writing skills of students. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh antara Pendidikan Anti Korupsi terhadap Integritas Mahasiswa. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Setelah dianalisis menggunakan statistik dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh pelaksanaan pendidikan anti korupsi terhadap integritas mahasiswa sebesar 13, 69 % sedangkan sisanya sebesar 86,31 % merupakan pengaruh dari faktor lain. Uji signifikasi dengan kepercayaan 0,05 diperoleh bahwa 4.18 ≥ dari , . Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut menunjukan adanya korelasi antara pelaksanaan pendidikan anti korupsi dengan integritas mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian berujuan untuk menemukan sistem pendidikan akhlak melalui kegiatan riyadhah, kajian In-put (syarat santri dan tujuan riyadhah, Proses Riyadhah (materi/bahan, tahapan kegiatan, evaluasi kegiatan, dan Out-put-nya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis, analsis data penelitian menggunakan teori sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa antara Riyadhah dan akhlak berkorelasi dalam mewujudkan alternatif pembinaan akhlak para santri khususnya dan manusia pada umumnya. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan unsur-unsur dalam Ilmu Pendidikan Islam, yakni : (1) Input menjadi peserta riyadha; tidak terbatas pada usia, pendidikan dan profesi. (2) Tujuan Riyadhah; mendidik santri lahir batin menuju kedekatan kepada Allah SWT (sang pencipta), melalui pemantapan iman dan takwa, membentuk kepribadian yang berbudi pekerti luhur dan berakhlak mulia. (3) Materi riyadhah; membaca Al-Qur’an, bacaan wirid, berdzikir, shalat-shalat sunat, berpuasa dan uzlah. (4) Proses kegiatan riyadhah terbagi kepada tiga bagian, yakni rutinitas wajib, rutinitas sunah, dan kegiatan insidentil. Sedangkan ke-(5) Evaluasi kegiatan riyadhah terdiri dari evaluasi dari guru (Kyai) dan evaluasi dari pelaku riyadhah (santri). evaluasi dari guru seperti teguran/arahan langsung tentang berbagai kekurangan dan kelemahan di dalam menjalankan riyadhah. Evaluasi dari santri sebagai upaya memperbaiki diri dari berbagai pelanggaran menuju kesempurnaan akhak. Sedangkan outputnya menjadi manusia yang berakhlakul karimah. Oleh karena itu peneliti merekomendasikan kepada sekolah untuk menggunakan model Riyadhah sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam melakukan pembinaan akhlak para siswa.

Abstract

Family and education are the primary pillars in building a society. The family provides emotional, moral, and character support, serving as the foundation for every individual. Education, on the other hand, equips individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to face contemporary challenges. A harmonious family and quality education create individuals who are competitive, ethical, and prepared to contribute positively to society. Understanding and strengthening the roles of these two institutions are essential for collective progress and well-being. Furthermore, the family also functions as an informal educational institution, alongside schools and communities. This study aims to describe: (1) the concept of premarital education for prospective brides and grooms in Islam; (2) the implementation of premarital education for prospective brides and grooms at the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) in Sukawening District, Garut; and (3) the outcomes of premarital education conducted by KUA for the community in Sukawening District, Garut. This research involves a series of scientific activities aimed at solving a specific problem. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with the researcher serving as the key instrument. Data collection techniques include: (1) primary sources such as observations, interviews, and documents; and (2) secondary sources such as books or other relevant information. The study concludes that the concept of premarital education at KUA Sukawening village in Sukawening District is recognized as a highly effective program for equipping prospective brides and grooms with the knowledge and skills needed to face married life. Despite some shortcomings, proper and comprehensive guidance helps couples confront the realities of marriage with greater awareness and understanding.
