Abstract

Sociologists have long recognized the important role of teachers in education. Teachers have a great influence on shaping a student's personality, knowledge, values, and attitudes towards school. The teacher as a central figure, which in addition to the school climate, academic environment and discipline, is an important element of the school context. Good teachers contribute to the realization of good education. Assessment implies the basic question "What makes a person a good teacher?" The purpose of this study is to examine studies that examine good teachers using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method. This study focuses on what factors must be possessed to be able to make someone a good teacher. The review of the research literature proved to provide a broad view of the different approaches in terms of personality traits, teaching abilities, professionalism, social emotional abilities and the ability of teachers to realize good education.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the characteristics of teacher competence that are preferred by the students or according to the students' point of view. This research was conducted from June to July 2021. The method used in this research is quantitative method with survey technique. The survey was conducted through a google form in the form of a questionnaire. There are 110 respondents who filled out the questionnaire in the study. In the research instrument grid, there are four research variables. The results of this study indicate that students prefer teachers who have professional competence, then the second is personality competence, the third is social competence, and the last is pedagogic competence. According to the student's perspective on pedagogic competence, the teacher is still lacking or good enough. So, for pedagogic competence, teachers must pay attention to or be more creative and innovative in the delivery of learning materials so that they can make the class more fun. Abstract

This study aims to identify what factors are a problem or a barrier for teachers to develop higher order thinking skills and what factors can improve teachers' higher order thinking skills. This research is a Systematic Review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analyzes (PISMA) method. The results of the study identified several factors that hindered teachers from higher order thinking. With these results, it is hoped that teachers and related parties can focus on improving themselves on factors that can increase the ability of teachers to think at higher levels.

Abstract

Mahasiswa kedokteran semester akhir (semester VII)  harus mempunyai self efficacy (SE). SE dibutuhkan mahasiswa kedokteran untuk masuk ke jenjang berikutnya ketika masuk dalam pembelajaran di rumah sakit. SE membuat mahasiswa nyaman ketika berhubungan dengan pasien begitupula sebaliknya, pasien merasa nyaman mahasiswa yang memiliki SE yang baik.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengukur kepercayaan diri atau “self efficacy (SE)” mahasiswa semester VII Oktober tahun 2022 FKK UMJ. Hasilnya adalah nilai validitas terkecil dari seluruh item terdapat pada item B3 = 0,392 > r tabel 0,301. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa seluruh item valid. Nilai reliabilitas  terkecil dari seluruh item terdapat pada item A18 = 0,962 > r tabel 0,301. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa seluruh item reliabel. Hal ini menandakan bahwa instrumen SE yang telah dialihbahasakan ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur refleksi kepercayaan diri mahasiswa kedokteran semester akhir

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the teacher's personality competencies according to the students' perspective. This research was conducted in June-July 2021. The method used in this study was a descriptive method in the form of a survey. The survey was conducted through a google form in the form of a questionnaire (questionnaire). The research instrument consisted of five indicators and 15 questions. The results show that students most like teachers who have personalities who present themselves as steady, stable, mature, wise and authoritative. Overall, according to the student's perspective, the teacher's personality competence is good and can be an example and role model for students.
