Abstract

As the commercial and trading subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), Pertamina Patra Niaga also provides aviation fuel to airlines. The aviation fuel refueling place is called the Aircraft Refueling Depot. One of the aircraft filling depots in Palu is the Mutiara Aircraft Filling Depot, located in the Mutiara Sis Al-Jufri Airport Area. The Mutiara Aircraft Refueling Depot uses a Refueling De-Refueling Truck (RDT) to fill aircraft with fuel while on the ground. This refueler unit can also pump and store fuel from aircraft. One of the problems when refueling aviation fuel by RDT at the Mutiara Aircraft Filling Depot was the activation of the emergency stop when the Certified Refueler Operator (CRO) was carrying out the service. The aviation fuel-filling system stopped without anyone realizing it, causing flight delays. The active emergency stop without a clear indicator initiates the FT Prove Pin Point group to create an Emergency Shut-Down Multi-Indicator (ESIn) tool that can monitor the active status of the emergency fuel or engine stop. Before the ESIn tool is used, one of the steps that must be carried out is a feasibility test on electrical safety aspects. Testing is carried out using three criteria, namely visual testing, component electrical parameters, and performance. Based on visual and performance testing, the tool is in good condition and can operate according to the planned purpose. Likewise, when testing component electrical parameters, the measured parameter values show values according to applicable electrical standards.

Abstract

Fishing requires continuous monitoring to avoid missing the moment when a fish bites the bait. However, this traditional method is inefficient and exhausting. Therefore, this research develops an IoT-based smart fishing rod capable of automatically detecting bait activity and measuring the weight of caught fish. The system utilizes a Load Cell sensor and HX711 module to detect weight changes caused by fish bites and ESP8266 to send real-time notifications via Telegram Bot. Additionally, Fuzzy Logic Mamdani is implemented to determine the fish bite status based on weight changes and bite duration. System testing evaluates fish detection accuracy, notification transmission speed, and automatic fish weight-to-price conversion. The results indicate that the system can accurately detect fish bites, send notifications in under 3 seconds, and calculate fish prices with minimal error. With this system, anglers can efficiently monitor their fishing activity and determine their catch value automatically.

Abstract

The Wani 2 Port Pier, located in Tanantovea District, Donggala Regency, is a vital infrastructure equipped with a Gantry Crane that requires optimal street lighting to support loading and unloading activities as well as maritime and land transportation. This study aims to analyze the lighting intensity and its compliance with the standards set by SNI 7391:2008, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, the Ministry of Maritime Transportation, and the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 70 of 2016, which recommends a minimum illumination level of 20 lux. An evaluation of the existing street lighting system indicates that the average lighting intensity remains below the established standard, ranging from 8 to 16 lux. This discrepancy is attributed to the varying distances between light poles, which range from 15–20.5 meters and the use of 100-watt LED lamps with an output of 12,500 lumens and a color temperature of 4000 Kelvin, which are not optimal. To address this issue, this study optimizes the street lighting system through simulations conducted using DIALux Evo software. The proposed improvements include modifying the lamp specifications and increasing the number of lamps. This upgrade results in a total luminous output of 30,000 lumens. Additionally, adding one streetlight with a 14-meters spacing between poles enhances overall illumination. The simulation results indicate that modifying the lamp specifications and adding streetlight points significantly improve light distribution. The achieved illumination levels comply with SNI 7391:2008 and the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 70 of 2016.

Abstract

Background: Integrity is the most crucial element for the reputation of scientific research and publication. Plagiarism is a significant contributor to unethical publications and retractions among research in regions of Asia (namely South, East and Southeast). Self-plagiarism is a form of plagiarism. The number of scientific journals published per year has been steadily increasing, so have the occurences of plagiarism and self-plagiarism in medical research. Methods: In March 2025, we conducted basic search techniques within all fields in Cochrane, Google Scholar and Scopus. We searched PubMed using an advanced search technique with medical terms (MeSH terms). We counted sources from scientific journals published in English between 2018 and 2025.Results: Plagiarism is a prevalent type of research misconduct in which an author presents another individual’s work (such as ideas, data, results, or text) as their own, without giving credit or obtaining consent from the original source. Self-plagiarism can be found when an author duplicates text/ results from his own previous publications. There are three practical steps to avoid plagiarism: cite everything properly, synthesize, and contribute your analysis. Conclusions: Researchers can learn about different types of plagiarism (i.e. self-plagiarism) by taking appropriate training in scientific writing. They can encourage the utilization of plagiarism detection tools, resulting in a significant decrease in the issue. By synthesizing knowledge, methodologies, and perspectives from different disciplines, the risk of unintentional plagiarism can be minimized.

Abstract

This type of research is a quasi-experimental study, the research subjects were 70 Grade X students of SMAN X Cimahi. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of applying the Infographic-assisted Personal Digital Inquiry learning strategy on scientific literacy. The results of implementing an infographic-assisted personal digital inquiry learning strategy for science literacy test, the experiment class about indicator explaining the phenomenon scientifically has changed the medium category with an average value 65.14. For indicators evaluating and designing scientific questions even though there is the average value 54.28 still in the medium category on the results. And then, the average value of each indicator aspect of scientific literacy competence has changed, namely the indicator of interpreting data and evidence scientifically from the high category with an average value of 80.6. The Gain score obtained by the experimental class around 69.2% shows that these results are quite effective in learning. This can be seen from the Asymp value. Sig. (2-Tails) ranging from 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant differences in students' scientific literacy abilities using infographic-assisted digital personal inquiry learning strategies.

Abstract

The manual use of Air Conditioners (AC) often leads to excessive electricity consumption, as temperature settings are not adjusted to actual environmental conditions. This study aims to design and implement an AC control system based on Mamdani fuzzy logic to automatically regulate room temperature according to thermal comfort standards, as well as to analyze its effect on electricity consumption. The system was developed using four DHT11 sensors connected to an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller, while energy consumption was monitored using a PZEM-004T sensor and transmitted to the ThingSpeak platform. Experimental results show that the fuzzy logic-based control system was able to adaptively adjust the AC temperature with high accuracy. The application of the system resulted in an energy consumption of 5.01 kWh over three days, compared to 8.87 kWh under manual control. Thus, the system achieved energy savings of 3.86 kWh or 43.82%. These findings demonstrate that applying fuzzy logic to AC control is effective in improving energy efficiency and supporting electricity cost reduction.
