Abstract

As the official language, Indonesian language has a key position in the curriculum of Indonesia, including in from the language policy, education system, class schedule, the national main curriculum assessment, etc. The Indonesian language textbooks for first grade Junior High School is compiled based on the curriculum objectives and contents stipulated in the constitution of the country. The compilation and development of this Indonesian language textbooks also refer to the teaching design of content and Integrated Language Learning (CLIL) to prepare and design the content of textbooks. The four aspects in the subtopics, i.e., ‘language comprehension ability’, ‘language summary or restatement ability’, ‘language analysis ability’ and ‘language listening, speaking, reading, writing and practice ability’, are consistent with the four factors of ‘content’, ‘cognition’, ‘communication’, and ‘culture’ in CLIL.

Abstract

Dalam memilih buku ajar, sebagian besar pengajar bahasa Mandarin di Indonesia mempertimbangkan apakah buku ajar tersebut terdapat kosakata yang relevan dengan persiapan tes kemahiran bahasa Mandarin HSK. Kurikulum internasional bahasa Mandarin memuat standar acuan kosakata untuk tes kemahiran berbahasa ini. Oleh karena itu, Kurikulum Internasional bahasa Mandarin menjadi salah satu referensi penting dalam penyusunan buku ajar Bahasa Mandarin di Indonesia. Kajian ini membahas secara ringkas fungsi acuan dan syarat ketentuan dan kebutuhan kurikulum internasional Bahasa Mandarin untuk penyusunan buku ajar Bahasa Mandarin di Indonesia dari dua aspek yaitu dasar konsep penyusunan kurikulum dan tujuan penyusunan buku ajar terutana dalam hal pemilihan kosakata. Penelitian ini memberikan konsep dasar referensi untuk meningkatkan kualitas buku ajar bahasa Mandarin Indonesia dan mencapai standar kosakata buku ajar bahasa Mandarin.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi tingkat pendidikan wajib belajar sembilan tahun merupakan proses pembelajaran yang mendasar dan penting bagi pemelajar penutur jati dalam mengenal, menggali dan menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa persatuan yang mencerminkan identitas bangsa Indonesia. Untuk mendukung pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di tingkat pendidikan wajib belajar sembilan tahun, khususnya di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama, dibutuhkan sarana pendukung pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Indonesia, salah satunya dengan menggunakan tesaurus bahasa Indonesia. Sejauh ini, tesaurus sebagai sarana pendukung pembelajaran kosakata Bahasa Indonesia masih belum dikenal secara dekat oleh pemelajar bahasa Indonesia. Tesaurus yang disusun secara tematik berdasarkan sinonim dan antonim suatu kata dapat menjadi sarana pendukung dalam pembelajaran kosakata dengan memberikan referensi dalam penelusuran kosakata yang saling berkaitan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pola kesalahan pelafalan bahasa Mandarin pada 90 pembelajar Indonesia di Tiongkok dengan berbagai tingkat kemahiran (pemula, menengah, lanjut). Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis kesalahan dan studi kasus, penelitian berfokus pada empat aspek fonologis: (1) konsonan aspirasi, (2) konsonan retrofleks, (3) vokal bulat depan, dan (4) sistem nada. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes monolog berbasis gambar dan dianalisis dengan triangulasi menggunakan Korpus Dinamis HSK. Temuan menunjukkan pola kesalahan yang sistematis terkait perbedaan sistem fonologis bahasa Indonesia dan Mandarin. Konsonan aspirasi (pʰ, tʰ, kʰ) menjadi tantangan utama bagi pemula, namun dapat dikuasai di tingkat menengah, sedangkan konsonan retrofleks (zh, ch, sh, r) tetap sulit dikuasai oleh pembelajar Indonesia hingga tingkat lanjut. Vokal /ü/ sering disubstitusi dengan [i] atau [u] oleh pemula dan menengah tetapi dapat dikuasi dengan sempurna oleh pembelajat tingkat lanjut. Kesalahan nada tersebar merata di keempat nada, menunjukkan tantangan sistemik. Implikasi pedagogis penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya: (1) pelatihan artikulasi berbasis kontrastif, (2) pendekatan holistik untuk pengajaran nada, dan (3) pengembangan materi khusus untuk masalah fonetik spesifik penutur Indonesia. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam pemahaman interlanguage pembelajar Indonesia sekaligus rekomendasi praktis untuk pengajaran fonetik Mandarin.

Abstract

Abstract.  Since the release of the 2013 Curriculum system by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, the vocabulary of Indonesian senior high school Chinese textbooks has constantly been changing. In 2021, The National Language Commission of the Ministry of Education, PRC, released the Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education (Grading Standard). In the same year, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia encouraged learning according to students' abilities and provided more expansive space for character development and essential competencies through the 2022 Prototype Curriculum system as an option for all academic units. This curriculum is a system implemented between 2022 and 2024 in the post-COVID-19 learning recovery. Based on the analysis of these new standards, we find out how to adapt to curriculum changes, find out which difficulties arise and how to overcome them. In this study, we use analytic and quantitative research to analyze the teachers' adaptation process to the two new standards in textbook vocabulary. Furthermore, we use the vocabulary statistics of Mandarin textbooks for senior high school, textbook compiling principle-based these two standards and related theory. Through the analysis and statistics of the vocabulary in this textbook, we found that teachers need to adjust some main words in adapting to the two new standards and make a vocabulary selection and supplement to the textbook vocabulary. In addition, to meet the standards of government textbook preparation and meet the expectations of textbook users to understand social life in China through vocabulary to achieve better communication, teachers need teaching resources for textbook vocabulary teaching in this adaptation.Keywords: Indonesian curriculum Prototype Curriculum,Vocabulary learning,Chinese Language new standard, Bahasa Mandarin/汉语 textbook.

Abstract

Abstract. The perspective formed by the mother tongue frequently influences the vocabulary used in speaking and writing while learning a new language. To make identifying and selecting the appropriate vocabulary according to the terminology commonly used by native speakers in the nursing field easier, Mandarin learners, notably those studying nursing, need vocabulary references that are organised systematically based on vocabulary domains. This study aims to serve as a resource for the processes in learning to increase overall proficiency in Mandarin for nursing. A Thesaurus of Modern Chinese (TMC) contains the lexical-semantic structure of Mandarin. Therefore, Chinese learners can learn the syntactic language that native Chinese speakers regularly use. This study examines the scope of vocabulary case studies in nursing from this thesaurus. The research strategy looks for relevant terminology in the nursing sector. This study also investigates the value of knowing Chinese to help nursing careers and the exposure to learning Mandarin in the nursing industry by related vocabulary. By selecting the nursing scope vocabulary from the thesaurus, This study can take more terms, particularly complex words, which are simple for native speakers but challenging for foreign learners.Keywords: A Thesaurus Of Modern Chinese; Mandarin Language Ability; Career Advancement; Nursing Expertise; Vocabulary

Abstract

The object of this study is the word lotus. In the Comprehensive Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), the lotus entry has only one meaning within the botanical domain. However, the word lotus is also present and used in the context of Buddhism in Indonesia. Based on this fact, it is suggested to add a new meaning to the entry. The problem is to decide whether the new meaning is a polysemy or a homonym, and the criteria used to determine this. The purpose of this research is to provide input to the Language Development and Fostering Agency to add new word entries to the KBBI using a case study of the word 'lotus' entry. Our research results on the word 'lotus' can expand the knowledge of the Indonesian people from the domain of botany to the domain of religion. In order to determine whether the entry is a polysemy or a homonym is carried out through Peirce's semiotic theory developed by Ogden and Richards to examine the relationship between three components that make up the word lotus as a sign. The research method involves analyzing the difference between the basic meaning and the new meaning, whether there is a development of a new meaning or a completely different meaning from the basic meaning. Unlike the previous studies, this research views meaning as a sign component. The lotus entry is a sign consisting of symbol, thought or reference, and reference components.
