Abstract

In the current second language pedagogy, understanding factors that contribute to learners’ willingness to speak English in classrooms is fundamental for teachers. The aims of this present study are (1) to find out the extent to which Indonesian EFL learners are willing to speak English in classrooms and (2) to investigate the factors that influence their willingness to speak English in classrooms. A descriptive quantitative design was employed in this study. This study involved 91 English learners of the University of Bengkulu. An adapted willingness to speak English questionnaire was used to collect the data. The findings indicate that most of the learners are willing to speak English in classrooms. Furthermore, some factors are found to influence the learners’ willingness to speak, including topic familiarity, topic interest, topic preparation, topic comfort, challenging topic, group size, task familiarity, seating arrangement, gender and age of interlocutor, interlocutor familiarity, fear of making mistakes, and fear of evaluation. Therefore, several pedagogical implications for teachers have been suggested in this study.

Abstract

Mengingat pentingnya pembentukan kompetensi siswa, maka seorang guru harus menggunakan berbagai  macam media, misalnya gambar, model, benda, dan alat bantu pengajaran lainnya yang dapat membuat siswa menjadi lebih ingat, bersemangat, dan meningkatkan ketertarikan terhadap materi yang diajarkan oleh seorang guru di dalam kelas. Salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan oleh guru di dalam pembelajaran adalah aplikasi Canva. Penggunaan aplikasi ini sebagai media pembelajaran yang berbasis teknologi diharapkan mampu untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Kegiatan Pelatihan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Canva untuk Guru di SMA Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu dilaksanakan pada hari Selasa tanggal 11 Juli 2023 pada pukul 8.30 – 12.00 WIB di SMA Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 40-62 orang guru. Guru sangat antusias selama mengikuti pelatihan dan dapat menambah pengetahuan mereka. Hal ini terbukti dengan hampir 100% guru memberikan respon yang positif terhadap pelatihan tersebut. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap wawasan dan pengetahuan guru di SMA Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu.   Kata Kunci: pelatihan, media pembelajaran, canva

Abstract

Hukum waris Islam adalah aturan yang menentukan siapa yang berhak dan tidak berhak mewarisi, serta bagian mana yang diterima oleh setiap ahli waris dan cara pembagiannya. Dalam pelaksanaannya, hukum ini sangat diperhatikan karena pembagian warisan antar ahli waris saling berhubungan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman hukum waris Islam oleh 25 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan semester III tahun 2021. Metode penelitian lapangan (empiris) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sementara itu, metode pengumpulan data digunakan melalui Google Forms atau kuesioner. Hasil penelitian mencapai beberapa kesimpulan, seperti berikut: 1. Mahasiswa memahami hukum waris Islam secara keseluruhan 76,9%; kesadaran akan pentingnya memahami hukum waris Islam 100%; dan 3. Mahasiswa yang kesulitan belajar hukum waris Islam 53,8%. 4. Penerapan hukum waris Islam dalam keluarga dan masyarakat 53,8%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the management of the sports coaching program at the student development and training center in Bengkulu province. The method used uses qualitative research. Data collection techniques use interview sheets, observation sheets, and document analysis. The research results show that planning has been carried out by the management of the sports talent scouting program and still needs improvement. program implementation does not comply with plans such as training schedules, selection of athletes, and availability of infrastructure. The evaluation carried out by PPLP Bengkulu Province was less structured, did not have adequate documentation and did not have a regular schedule. The follow-up carried out did not have thorough planning and was not optimal because there were some who had no follow-up after carrying out the evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, organizational culture, work environment, and competence on the performance of managers of procurement of goods/services with job satisfaction as an intervening variable in the Ministry of Health. The data used in this study is primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires to 145 employees managing the procurement of goods/services of the Ministry of Health as respondents. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS was used to test the research hypothesis. The results of the direct influence analysis showed that leadership, work environment and competence had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while organizational culture had a negative and insignificant effect on job satisfaction. Leadership, organizational culture and work environment have a positive and insignificant effect on performance, while competence and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on performance. The results of the indirect influence analysis show that leadership, organizational culture, work environment and competence have a positive and significant effect on performance through job satisfaction.
