Abstract

Casting is the process of manufacturing molten metal with a mold to produce a shape close to the original shape. The commonly used molding sand is mountain sand, river sand and silica sand. This research aims to analyze defects and tensile test results of castings with various types of sand (beach sand and silica sand) and types of aluminum (ADC 12 aluminum and aluminum from waste cans). The casting method used is traditional sand blasting. The results show defects in the form of surface hardness, rat tails, shrinkage cavities, and pinholes. The tensile test showed that the highest Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) value was obtained from a mixture of Al ADC 12 with beach sand with an average UTS value of 172.44 MPa.

Abstract

Olivine single phase of LiFePO4 was successfully synthesized by solid-state reaction (SSR) method through the formation of Fe2P2O7 from precursors of Li2CO3, F2O3, NH4H2PO4, and LiF as materials doping. Variations at temperatures of calcination 670 0C, 700 0C and 750 0C with doped 0.1F. TGA-DSC test results show that the LFP sample undergoes decomposition in the temperature range 0-600 0C. The olivine phase formed at temperatures of more than 650 0C and the oxidation process on the LiFePO4/C sample was completed, and the sample mass was constant. The olivine phase formed was determined by comparing the 2𝜃 value obtained through characterization with the ICDD LFP (01-081-1173), and accordingly with experiment. The increase of the temperature results from a dominant LFP phase with a larger grain size. The effect of increasing the calcination temperature at 0.1F has resulted in an enlargement of the particle size.

Abstract

The habit of implementing clean and healthy living behavior is not easy, it requires understanding and motivation from individuals so that each individual is more disciplined in implementing it. The methods used in this service are data collection, making trash cans and providing post-COVID-19 Health Socialization education and making handsanitizers. The population of the white bull village is 1950 people, with the highest level of education being elementary school graduates so that many of the residents are unemployed. Most types of work are private employees/factory workers and farmers. The work programs that we carry out have had a positive influence on the people of Bantengputih Village, because the goals in each work program are very comprehensive in all circles.

Abstract

In the manufacturing process, the bus frame is one of the essential parts of the vehicle that supports the overall weight of the vehicle, starting from the interior and passengers inside. In this research, we will carry out a structural strength analysis of the frame using the finite element method, which focuses on the floor frame of a medium bus which receives static loading from the bus interior, including seats with the maximum passenger capacity of a medium bus. The numerical analysis uses Solidworks 2021 for the 3D design of floor frames and structural analysis of the strength of medium bus floor frames using static structural toolbar on Ansys Workbench 2018 software by varying ASTM A514, AISI 1020, and Aluminum 2014-T4 materials. The results obtained are numerical analysis using a mesh size of 27 mm. The maximum deformation, maximum equivalent stress Von Mises, and safety factor are the same location for various ASTM A514, AISI 1020, and Aluminum 2014-T4 materials. The lowest deformation of 1.5735 mm occurred when using AISI 1020 material, and the highest deformation was 1.7209 mm when using Aluminum 2024-T4 material. The maximum equivalent stress Von Mises from the front view to section A-A is 101.23 MPa on AISI 1020 material. The safety level of the design with the material is 4.8999. AISI 1020 is the most optimal material for medium bus floor frames with the highest level of safety and lowest deformation.

Abstract

Usaha gula semut CV. Latanza Dua Kelapa terhambat oleh sanitasi higiene yang rendah dan metode penjemuran terbuka yang rentan kontaminasi, menurunkan kualitas produk. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan mutu dan daya saing produk gula semut. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan intensif penerapan standar sanitasi dan higiene yang baik, serta pembangunan ruang pengering tertututp (Solar Dryer Dome) berukuran 4 x 6 meter. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Desa Pakistaji, Banyuwangi, pada Juli – November 2025 melalui tahapan asesmen, perencanaan, pelatihan, pembangunan fasilitas, implementasi dan evaluasi. Hasil yang dicapai meliputi peningkatan pemahaman pekerja tentang sanitasi dan higiene dari 35% menjadi 81% pasca pendampingan. Selain itu, pembangunan ruang pengering tertutup yang higienis diharapkan dapat menjaga kualitas produk, mencegah kontaminasi, dan meningkatkan sanitasi produk secara berkelanjutan, memungkinkan CV. Latanza Dua Kelapa memproduksi gula semut yang aman dan berkualitas tinggi dengan daya saing pasar yang lebih baik.
