Abstract

This research is aimed to figure out the influences the effect of Numbered Head Together (NHT) and how The student’s result of mathematics studies by using cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together ( NHT ) compared with students who use conventional learning. Based on the result the student’s research which was taught by the model of cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together ( NHT ), the average score of the students’ study result was higher than the student of studied with conventional learning. This was found from the average score of experiment class It proved that there was significant influence by applying cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together ( NHT ) to the students’ result of mathematics learning which could be known from the result of calculation, test – t > t table ( 4,305 > 2,000 ) with decibel calculation ( db) = 49, significant value = 0,05. Therefore Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It meant that the students’ average study result of learning mathematics in experiment class was different with be control.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the teacher’s role in increasing student learning interest during COVID-19 pandemic and factors that supporting and inhibiting. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques were interviews and questionnaires while the data analysis techniques were data reductions, data display and drawing conclusions. Respondents in this study were a teacher and 21 students at state elementary school 066043 Medan Helvetia. The results of this study indicate that the teacher’s role in increasing student interest in learning during the covid-19 pandemic at state elementary school 066043 Medan Helvetia, were: teachers as mentors, teachers as motivators, teachers as evaluators and teachers as learning resources.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of classroom management on student learning outcomes at class five primary school numbers 066655, distrcit of Kelambir V Tanjung Gusta Medan Helvetia academic year 2019/2020. The analysis technique in this study is a simple regression technique, observing the relationship or effect between variables. The sample of this research is students of class state primary school number 066654 district of Kelambir V Tanjung Gusta Medan Helvetia, which consists of 2 classes, namely class V A totaling 28 students and class V B totaling 28 students. The total number of class V is 56 students. The variable instrument in the study is all valid, while the reliability for all variables is reliable. Based on the results of statistical analysis, it shows that simple linear regression analysis with the regression equation Y = 24.281 + 0.896X forms a linear line and coefficient of regression direction means.  The calculation result is obtained Fcount 56.912 in consultation with Ftable for an error rate of 5%, F table = 4.02. Thus Fcount > F table (56.912 > 4.02) for an error level of 5%. Based on the results of the F test calculation, Fcount is 56.912 with sig = 0.000 <0.005 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is an effect of class management (X) which is significant towards learning outcomes (Y). This means that the better the classroom management carried out by the teacher, the higher the student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to improve speaking skills through the media series of picture series in early 5-6 years old children in TK Mawar Indah School Years 2018/2019. Speaking skills can be seen from the courage to speak, fluency in speaking and retelling in sequence according to the contents of the picture. This type of research uses classroom action research (CAR) or the English term Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects in this study were B2 group children with 20 children consisting of 9 girls and 11 boys. Data collection techniques in this study using the method of observation and documentation. From the results of the study showed that the media image series can improve speaking skills in early childhood 5-6 years in kindergarten Mawar Indah. This can be seen from the results of the research. In the first cycle there were 9 children or 45% with criteria for developing as expected (BSH), and 11 children or 55% with criteria for developing (MB). In cycle II there were 17 children or 85% with criteria for developing as expected (BSH), and 4 children or 15% with criteria for developing (MB).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop expressive language in children aged five years who experience Specific Language Impairment disorders through the method of singing. This type of research is descriptive research. The research subject initials AT, a boy who was declared to have a Specific Language Impairment (SLI) disorder after undergoing an assessment from a licensed psychology institute. SLI disorders experienced by AT are caused by brain injury due to collision on his head when AT was 8 months old. The pleasure of AT in humming or singing is used as a method in developing the expressive language of AT which has not developed according to its age. Based on the results of initial observations, when given a question AT answered with one word that is not clear, or repeat the word heard from his friend, even sometimes AT does not answer. The development of the expressive language AT described based on indicators spoken verbally with their own language, answering simple questions, receiving and conveying simple messages, speaking fluently using complex sentences consisting of 5-6 words. The application of singing method by using media and the openness of parents to get involved produces expressive language development very rapidly.
