Abstract

House fires are one of the most frequent disasters in dry climates, with impacts that not only cause material losses but also cause loss of life. This research aims to develop a fire early warning system that integrates WiFi and cellular communication technology to provide a fast and accurate response. The methods used include black-box testing and hardware testing using Arduino Mega2560, ESP32, DHT-22, MQ-2, LDR Array, SIM900, Mini DC Pump, and Mini DC Fan. The test results show that the system can operate both online and offline, where each sensor is able to detect indications of fire, gas, and smoke in real time. Furthermore, this device is designed not only for household applications but also has the potential for use on an industrial scale. This innovation makes an important contribution to disaster risk mitigation efforts by increasing community preparedness, accelerating the evacuation process, and minimizing losses. Thus, the developed system serves as a practical and applicable solution to create a safer and more resilient environment against the threat of fire.

Abstract

The campus has an organization to develop the potential of its students according to the student division therefore This study aims to create a web-based service information system for student organizations in order to facilitate the service and implementation of procedures for submitting proposals and activity reports. The data were obtained through observations, Correspondence documents, direct interviews with the campus and organizational management. This system is built using visual studio code and mysql as a database storage service. The system development method in this research uses the waterfall method with the stages, namely analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation (maintenance programs). The results of this study indicate that the student organization service information system can run well. Based on the results of testing using blackbox testing techniques obtained 81% results from respondents, so it is said to be suitable for use based on the tests carried out.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties often experienced by students in determining the topic of their final assignment that suits their interests and abilities, which results in delayed graduation. The purpose of this study is to create an accurate final assignment topic decision support system model using the Random Forest Algorithm, design a website-based decision support system to assist students in determining the topic of their final assignment, and evaluate the efficiency and quality of the system. The data used are academic grades and interests of students in the Computer and Network Engineering study program at the Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic. The results of the study show that the Random Forest Model is able to produce final assignment topic recommendations with a Cross-validation accuracy of 61.36%. The website-based decision support system designed can assist students in determining the topic of their final assignment according to their interests and academic abilities, as well as improve the efficiency and quality of the final assignment topic selection process. This research contributes to making it easier for students to find the right final assignment topic, as well as providing guidance for the development of similar recommendation systems in the future.
