Abstract

Making this learning media aims to determine the results of the manufacture and feasibility of learning media for electric motorcycle brake lights. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. The subjects used were media experts and material experts consisting of two lecturers and two automotive engineering experts. The object of this research is students and the media of electrical circuits. Data collection techniques in this study used the methods of observation, interviews and questionnaires. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe with a periods of 6 months. Based on the results of data analysis carried out, the results of the study are in the form of the potential to make an electrical circuit for a motorcycle brake light system. The validation of learning media in this study obtained the average percentage value of the two validators of media expert I 100% and media expert II 90%. Furthermore, validation of the guidebook obtained the average value of the two validators material expert I 87% and material expert II 82%. In addition, the results of student responses with an average percentage value of 85%. Based on the four validators and student responses, it was shown that the electric motorcycle brake light learning media with the category was very feasible to use.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to produce a valid and feasible learning module for Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) welding techniques. The method used in this study is R & D (Research and Development) using the Borg and Gall models. Researchers carry out research from stages one to six. The technique of collecting data is in the form of distributing questionnaires. The validity of the module was measured based on the results of expert validation, the percentage obtained by material expert validation was obtained a value of 85.49% was in the appropriate category, media expert validation obtained a value of 89.49% was in the very feasible category and the response of class XI students of welding technique was obtained a value of 79, 51% are in the eligible category. Based on the results of the validator's assessment of the module, the module is declared very feasible. Responses are measured based on students' assessment of the products developed. Based on the results obtained from student responses, it shows that this module is declared suitable for use in learning welding techniques.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has impacted various sectors, including education. This study aims to explore strategies for enhancing teachers' competencies in mastering AI at junior high schools through educational and training programs. The main focus of this research is to understand teachers' experiences and perceptions regarding the effectiveness of AI training in improving their professional competencies for 21st-century learning. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design at public junior high schools in Lhokseumawe. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and the analysis of relevant documents. The findings indicate that the majority of teachers who participated in AI training reported improvements in their professional competencies, particularly in using technology for automated assessments and providing instant feedback. However, the main challenges faced by teachers include the lack of advanced training and inadequate infrastructure. School management support and collaboration among teachers were identified as crucial factors in the successful implementation of AI in the classroom.This study suggests the need for more applicable advanced training, enhanced technological infrastructure, and continuous guidance to support a more effective integration of AI into the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the integration of strategic management using SIJAMIN to conduct internal quality audits (IQA) at Universitas Malikussaleh in Lhokseumawe. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews with the Head, Secretary, Head of the Audit Center, and Accreditation Supervisor of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP3M), and documentary analysis to examine and evaluate the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan. This data analysis technique used interactive model analysis. Research validity was ensured through data triangulation, utilizing multiple data sources to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of findings. The results indicated that strategic management was implemented using the SWOT analysis model. The University's strategic plan for 2020-2024 focused on the policy of independent learning as a guideline for human resource development, considering global trends such as technological advancements. SIJAMIN is one of UNIMAL's missions in the technology field and is used to implement the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), held annually in the form of internal quality audits (IQA). The application of SIJAMIN in the 6th IQA cycle showed that it could facilitate real-time data-driven decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen coordination among units. Additionally, there was progress in achieving strategic goals and enhancing the quality of teaching, research, and community service, with the expectation of achieving excellent accreditation. In conclusion, integrating strategic management and implementing SIJAMIN is a practical strategic step in improving the quality of higher education, particularly at Universitas Malikussaleh.

Abstract

Surat dinas adalah surat yang berisi masalah kedinasan atau bisnis tertentu yang bersifat resmi. Pembuatan surat dinas harus memperhatikan kaidah penulisan surat resmi, seperti kaidah tata bahasa dan ejaan yang benar. Oleh karena itu, sebelum menulis surat penulis harus mempertimbangkan dengan baik susunan kalimat, pilihan kata atau diksi, dan ejaan serta pemakaian tanda baca yang dapat memperjelas maksud surat. Permasalahan yang terjadi berdasarkan hasil survey ke lapangan adalah masih ditemukannya kesalahan dalam surat resmi yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah desa. Seperti banyaknya kalimat yang tidak efektif, penggunaan tanda baca atau simbol yang tidak tepat, bahkan tata aturan dalam membuat surat masih kurang dipahami oleh aparat desa. Kemudian pembuatan surat untuk keperluan masyarakat seperti Surat Keterangan Miskin, Surat Keterangan Beasiswa dan Surat Keterangan Usaha masih menggunakan Microsoft Word manual dengan mengetik setiap lembar sesuai dengan jumlah permintaan masyarakat sehingga mengakibatkan proses pembuatan surat tersebut menjadi lama dan membuat masyarakat tidak puas sehingga mutu pelayanan kepada masyarakat menjadi tidak baik. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan penulisan surat dinas menggunakan fungsi mail marge yang disediakan oleh Microsoft Word pada aparatur Pemerintah Desa Ulee Reuleung Kecamatan Dewantara Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdiaan ini berbentuk pelatihan. Materi yang diberikan berupa pengenalan contoh surat yang benar dengan berbagai jenis surat yang sesuai dengan keperluan. Kemudian surat dinas tersebut dibuat secara massal menggunakan fungsi mail merge. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama dua hari yang diikuti oleh 10 orang aparatur desa sesuai dengan perencanaan awal, tingkat kehadiran peserta adalah 100%. Pada tahap akhir dilakukan evaluasi pelatihan untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan pelatihan. Target luaran adalah aparatur desa sudah mampu membuat surat dinas dengan benar sesuai jenis surat yang diperlukan dengan mengaplikasikan fungsi mail merge yang disediakan oleh Microsoft Word. Setiap peserta memperoleh sertifikat setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Artikel pengabdian telah dipublikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah nasional berbasis OJS dan juga pada media online Juang News.
