Abstract

Keterampilan membaca sangat membantu mahasiswa untuk menemukan informasi yang dapat diolah menjadi ide atau temuan baru, gagasan, dan referensi dalam mengembangkan produk tulisan. Penelitian ini didasari oleh adanya mata kuliah keterampilan membaca yang diselenggarakan secara daring (dalam jaringan). Pembelajaran keterampilan membaca perlu dilakukan evaluasi untuk memperoleh konsep yang menyeluruh terkait daya guna pembelajaran dan konsep rencana pembelajaran yang akan datang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi pembelajaran keterampilan membaca menggunakan model evaluasi CIPP yang berfokus pada aspek proses dan produk. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik studi dokumen untuk mengumpulkan data yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan analisis proses dan produk, pembelajaran keterampilan membaca telah sejalan dengan karakteristik pembelajaran meliputi interaktif, holistik, terintegrasi, ilmiah, kontekstual, tematik, efektif, kolaboratif, dan berpusat pada mahasiswa. Namun, disisi lain terdapat komponen perencanaan pembelajaran yang perlu ditambahkan yakni berkaitan dengan panduan atau pedoman sistematis dalam penulisan makalah atau tugas karya ilmiah serta perlu adanya kriteria atau produk dalam penyusunan tugas akhir pembelajaran keterampilan membaca. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa evaluasi pembelajaran keterampilan membaca dari aspek proses dan produk masuk dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

Not only books, learning history can also be done by coming directly to historical sites, such as the bubrah mosque which can be used as a social study learning resource on the life of Indonesian society. The purpose of this study was to determine the utilization and relevance of the historical site of langgar bubrah as a social study learning resource. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection by interview, observation and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that Langgar Bubrah is a historical relic of the Hindu-Buddhist and Islamic period with some evidence of the types of buildings and religious elements contained therein. There is a relevance of social studies learning with the breaking bubrah site, so that the site can be used as a social study learning resource for class VII KD 3.4. It is hoped that this research will be able to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the material and students will get messages of value from historical events related to the Bubrah Langar site.

Abstract

Strategies to improve language skills for teaching Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) can be implemented through various effective and innovative learning approaches. This research aims to identify and analyze the effective strategy for enhancing language skills for Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. SLR is chosen to identify, evaluate, and interpret all relevant studies. The researcher utilizes the Google Scholar database as the main source to collect relevant literature from 2020 to 2024. The review results show that a combination of communicative approaches, the use of technological media, project-based learning, and direct interaction with native speakers are effective strategies for developing Indonesian language skills for foreign speakers. These findings are expected to contribute to developing more effective and efficient BIPA programs.

Abstract

Purpose – This study investigates the impact of structured role-playing game (RPG) activities on the development of self-regulation skills among kindergarten children. In particular, it examines whether participation in a purpose-designed RPG module (Character Quest) enhances young learners' attention control, emotional regulation, and behavioral inhibition.Design/methods/approach – A convergent parallel mixed-methods design was employed. Quantitatively, 30 kindergarteners (aged 5–6) completed the Self-Regulation Rating Scale before and after an eight-week RPG intervention. Qualitatively, semi-structured interviews were conducted with five participating teachers, and classroom observations and children's play journals were analyzed. Quantitative data were analyzed using paired-samples t-tests and effect-size calculations; qualitative data underwent thematic coding and were integrated via a triangulation matrix.Findings – Quantitative results showed a statistically significant increase in overall self-regulation scores (pre-test M = 2.48, SD = 0.37; post-test M = 3.10, SD = 0.29; t(29) = 8.23, p < .001, Cohen's d = 1.50). Qualitative themes revealed heightened engagement, the transfer of in-game strategies to classroom tasks, and positive teacher observations of improved impulse control and peer collaboration. Integration of both data strands suggests that RPG sessions provide a motivating context for practicing self-regulatory behaviors.Research implications/limitations – While the mixed-methods approach offers robust insights, the small sample size and single-school setting limit generalizability. Future research should explore longitudinal effects across diverse cultural contexts and incorporate control-group comparisons to isolate RPG-specific effects.Practical implications – Educators and curriculum designers may incorporate structured RPG modules as a playful, low-cost strategy to foster self-regulation in early childhood settings. Training teachers to facilitate game-based activities and to scaffold reflection on in-game decisions can maximize skill transfer to everyday classroom behaviors.Originality/value – This study contributes to the growing field of game-based learning by applying a mixed-methods framework to evaluate a tabletop RPG intervention for self-regulation in kindergarten. While previous research has explored digital games and general play-based approaches, this study offers integrated quantitative and qualitative evidence on how structured narrative-driven RPGs can support self-regulatory development in early childhood classrooms.Paper type Research paper

Abstract

ABSTRAKHikayat Patani merupakan hikayat yang menceritakan kerajaan Patani dan konflik yang terjadi dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan teks-teks yang membicarakan tentang konflik sosial dalam Hikayat Patani dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualititif. Sumber data penelitian adalah Hikayat Patani. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pembacaan dan pencatatan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan referensi keilmuwan teori sosiologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konflik sosial yang terdapat dalam Hikayat Patani, yaitu: 1) konflik internal, di antaranya: a) pembunuhan Sultan Patik Siam; b) pembunuhan Sultan Bahadur; c) pemberontakan sang bendahara; d) pendurhakaan Raja Kali; dan e) pengkhiatan Yang Dipertuan Muda Johor; 2) konflik eksternal, di antaranya; a) penyerangan ke Siam; b) peperangan dengan Palembang; dan c) peperangan dengan Pattalung dan Siam. Selain itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konflik sosial yang terdapat dalam Hikayat Patani sesuai dengan kondisi masyarakat pada waktu teks tersebut diciptakan dan masih diyakini dalam sebagian besar masyarakat hingga saat ini.Kata kunci: konflik sosial, internal, eksternal, Hikayat Patani, sosiologi sastraABSTRACTHikayat Patani is a saga that tells the kingdom of Patani and the conflicts that occur in there. This study is aimed to describe the texts that discussing about social conflicts in the Hikayat Patani by using the literature sociology approach. This research is a qualitative research. The data of the study are texts of the Hikayat Patani. The research instrument is the researcher himself. The data are collected through reading and noting. They are analyzed by using the qualitative descriptive technique with a reference to theory of the literature sociology. The results of the research shows that social conflict in Hikayat Patani, namely; 1) internal conflicts, including: a) the assassination of Sultan Patik Siam; b) the assassination of Sultan Bahadur; c) the rebellion of sang bendahara; d) the rebellion of Raja Kali; and e) the betrayal of Yang Dipertuan Muda Johor; 2) external conflicts, including; 1) attack on Siam; 2) war with Palembang; and 3) wars with Pattalung and Siam. In addition, the result of the research shown that the social conflicts in Hikayat Patani are in accordance with the conditions of society at the time the text was created and are still believed in most societies until this day.Keyword: social conflict, internal, external, Hikayat Patani, sociology literature

Abstract

The Image of Women in The Folklore of Putri Kemang: Feminist Literary Criticism Studies ABSTRAKCerita rakyat Putri Kemang merupakan cerita rakyat yang menggambarkan perjuangan seorang putri untuk dirinya dan dalam memerintah kerajaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan teks-teks yang membicarakan tentang citra perempuan dalam cerita rakyat Putri Kemang dengan menggunakan pendekatan kritik sastra feminis. Sumber data penelitian adalah cerita rakyat Putri Kemang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pembacaan dan pencatatan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan referensi keilmuwan kritik sastra feminis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra perempuan yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Putri Kemang, yaitu: 1) persamaan pendidikan; 2) kemandirian perempuan; 3) kemampuan membuat keputusan; 4) kebebasan memilih pasangan; dan 5) kepemimpinan perempuan. Selain itu, didapatkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa citra perempuan dalam cerita rakyat Putri Kemang senada dengan pandangan kritik sastra feminis yang memiliki tujuan diperolehnya perlakuan yang lebih baik bagi perempuan, ditingkatkannya kedudukan dan peranan perempuan untuk membentuk masyarakat yang lebih adil dan setara dengan laki-laki.Kata kunci: citra perempuan, cerita rakyat, Putri Kemang, kritik, sastra feminisABSTRACTThe folklore of Putri Kemang is a folklore which describes the struggle of a princess for herself and govern her kingdom. This study aims to describe the texts in discussing the image of women in the folklore of Putri Kemang by using the feminist literary criticism approach. The data of the research is folklore of Putri Kemang. The data are collected through reading and noting. The data are analised by using the qualitative descriptive technique with a reference feminist literary criticism. The results of the research show that image of women in folklore of Putri Kemang are: 1) equality of education; 2) independence of women; 3) decision-making ability; 4) freedom to choose a partner; and 5) women leadership. In addition, the results of study indicates that the image of women found in the folklore of Putri Kemang was in line with the views of feminist literary criticism which aimed at obtaining better treatment for women, increasing the position and role of women to build fair society and equal to the men.Keyword: Women image, folklore, Kemang Princess, criticism, feminist literary

Abstract

Patani Culture in The Form of Works in The Novel of Ratu-Ratu Patani By Isma Ae Mohamad: A Study of Literature Antropology ABSTRAKNovel Ratu-ratu Patani karya Isma Ae Mohamad merupakan novel yang menceritakan tentang Ratu-ratu yang memerintahkan kerajaan Patani dan budaya yang ada di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan teks-teks yang membicarakan tentang budaya Patani berwujud hasil karya dalam novel Ratu-ratu Patani dengan menggunakan pendekatan antropologi sastra. Sumber data penelitian adalah novel Ratu-ratu Patani. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pembacaan dan pencatatan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan referensi keilmuan teori antropologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya Patani berwujud hasil karya yang terdapat dalam novel Ratu-ratu Patani, di antaranya, yaitu: a) berbentuk bangunan dan tempat tinggal, di antaranya: 1) istana; 2) Masjid Kerisek; dan 3) pondok pesantren; b) berbentuk daerah maritim, yaitu pelabuhan; c) berbentuk senjata dan peralatan hidup, di antaranya: 1) keris; 2) meriam; dan 3) perahu kolek; dan d) berbentuk naskah, yaitu Tarikh Patani. Selain itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya Patani berwujud hasil karya dalam novel Ratu-ratu Patani keberadaannya masih diyakini oleh sebagian besar masyarakat Melayu Patani dan masih dipertahankan hingga saat ini.Kata kunci: budaya Patani, wujud hasil karya, novel, Ratu-ratu Patani, antropologi sastraABSTRACTNovel Ratu-ratu Patani written by Isma Ae Mohamad is a novel that tells of a queens who commands the kingdom of Patani and the culture in it. This study aims to describe the texts which discuss about Patani culture in the novel Ratu-ratu Patani by using literary anthropology approach. The source of the data in this research is the novel Ratu-ratu Patani. The data are collected through reading and noting. Technique analysis data which is applied is the qualitative descriptive technique with reference theory of anthropology literature. The results of the research show that Patani culture was in the form of works in the novel Ratu-ratu Patani, as follows: a) in the form of buildings and residences, including: 1) palaces; 2) Kerisek Mosque; and 3) Islamic boarding schools; b) in the form of a maritime area, namely a port; c) in the form of weapons and live equipment, including: 1) keris; 2) cannon; and 3) kolek boat; and d) in the form of a manuscript, namely the Tarikh Patani. In addition, the result of the study indicates that the Patani culture in the form of works in the novel Ratu-ratu Patani. The existance of Ratu-ratu Patani  is still believed by most of the Patani Malay community and is still maintained until today.Keyword: Patani Culture, Form of Work, Novel, Ratu-ratu Patani, Anthropology Literature
