Abstract

The branch of pragmatics makes speech acts as the main object of its study. Speech acts do not have to be spoken directly by the speaker but can take other forms such as in literary works. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the form of commissive speech acts in the performance of the play Rembulan Wungu. This research is included in qualitative research using a pragmatic approach. The primary source of data in this study is the performance of the play Rembulan Wungu by Bondan Nusantara. Data retrieval techniques using listen, engage, and record techniques. The instrument used for data retrieval is a data card. The stages of data analysis consist of data classification, data condensation, data presentation and analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found three types of commissive speech acts in the performance of the play Rembulan Wungu, namely commissive speech acts intending, promising, and swearing. The most intent commissive speech acts were found with a total of 9 data with the most dominant verbal markers in the form of the words yen and ajeng. The commissive speech act promises 3 data with verbal markers in the form of the word bakal. An interesting thing is found in the type of oath that is pronounced using sesanti in the form of parikan or Javanese poem.

Abstract

Naskah babad Pakualam merupakan wujud salah satu karya sastra Jawa yang mengandung nilai-nilai sejarah yang dimuat dalam naskah. Karya sastra ini tidak terlepas dari latar belakang penulis dalam menceritakan karya sastranya. Tidak dapat dipungkuri dalam naskah babad Pakualaman sebagian besar menceritakan bagaimana sejarah raja-raja di Keraton Solo dan Keraton Yogya pada saat itu. Karena kolonialisme saat itu terjadi banyak sekali ditemukan pergolakan dan juga kemarahan terhadap pihak kompeni yang sangat semena-mena dan terlalu ikut campur kedalam pemerintahan keraton. Hal ini yang membuat salah satu anggota kerajaan yaitu Raden Rongga melakukan pemberontakan terhadap kompeni sebagai bentuk patriotisme dalam memerangi pihak kompeni dan rela berkorban demi kemakmuran dan kejayaan kerajaan agar bisa mengusir pihak kompeni agar supaya tidak turut andil dalam pemerintahan. Akan tetapi karena Raden Rongga melawan pemerintahan keraton Yogya maka dianggap sebagai tindakan pemberontakan. Hal ini karena Raden Rangga tidak mengindahkan isi surat yang berisikan agar datang untuk meminta maaf kepada Tuan Besar dan mempertanggung jawabkan apa yang telah menjadi kesalahannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebuah karya sastra mampu memberikan catatan sejarah pada era kolonialisme di Keraton Yogya yang bersifat setengah historis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan metode psikoanalisis dalam menganalisis data.

Abstract

Aksara Jawa is a form of Javanese culture that must be maintained, preserved from an early age. Learning to read and write Aksara Jawa must be taught from an early age so that students have a love for their own culture through Aksara Jawa. This research focuses on describing and explaining the use of puzzle game methods in the subject matter of reading and writing Aksara Jawa with computer-based visual media. The data sources in this study were obtained from literature studies and interviews with speakers. The data obtained are then analyzed with interactive and deductive analysis techniques. The results showed that a selection of innovative and creative learning methods was able to increase student motivation to follow the teaching and learning process. Teachers can use learning media to support the learning process of reading and writing Aksara Jawa to achieve learning objectives. With the puzzle game method applied with computer-based visual media, it is one of the uses of the right methods and media to achieve the goal of learning to read and write Aksara Jawa

Abstract

This article discusses and describe about speech level clasterization in Javanaese Language and the language using in society. Form of this research is case study with sociolinguistic approach. Data sources are taken from the use of Javanese language in 5 big cities in Indonesia that are Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Surabaya, and Malang. The data in this study was obtained by interview methods, field studies, and the method of sightseeing. The results found from this study that there are several varieties of unggah-ungguh basa in Javanese language. The variety most often used by the community can be divided into 3 large groups that are ngoko, madya, and krama inggil. Ngoko (low level of courtesy) consists of ngoko lugu; ngoko andhap antya-basa; and ngoko andhap basa-antya. The variety of basa madya (moderate level of politeness) consists of madya-ngoko; madya-krama; and madyantara. The variety of krama (high level of politeness) consist of basa krama wredha-krama; mudha-krama; kramantara; and krama inggil. The use of various languages at each level is influenced by several factors, including the closeness or social distance between speakers (O1) and speech partners (O2); age; social status; gender; conversation settings; and context of speech. This rule can also be used as a benchmark for the level of politeness and respect of the Javanese people. AbstrakArtikel ini membahas dan mendeskripsikan klasterisasi tingkat tutur yang terdapat dalam bahasa Jawa dan penggunaannya di masyarakat. Penelitian ini berbentuk studi kasus dengan pendekatan sosiolinguistik. Sumber data diambil dari penggunaan bahasa masyarakat Jawa di 5 kota besar di Indonesia, yaitu Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Surabaya, dan Malang. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan metode wawancara, studi lapangan, dan metode simak-catat. Hasil yang ditemukan dari penelitian ini bahwa terdapat beberapa ragam unggah-ungguh basa dalam khazanah bahasa Jawa. Ragam yang paling sering digunakan oleh masyarakat dapat dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok besar, yaitu ngoko, madya, dan krama inggil. Ngoko (tingkat kesopanan rendah) terdiri dari ngoko lugu; ngoko andhap antya-basa; dan ngoko andhap basa-antya. Ragam bahasa madya (tingkat kesopanan sedang) terdiri atas madya-ngoko; madya-krama; dan madyantara. Ragam Bahasa krama (kesopanan tinggi) basa krama wredha-krama; mudha-krama; kramantara; dan krama inggil. Penggunaan ragam bahasa di setiap tingkatnya dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, di antaranya kedekatan atau jarak sosial antara penutur (O1) dan mitra tutur (O2), umur penutur dan mitra tutur; status sosial mitra tutur, gender, tempat atau setting percakapan dan konteks yang melingkupi tuturan. Kaidah unggah-ungguh bahasa Jawa ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai tolok ukur tingkat kesopanan dan rasa menghormati dari masyarakat Jawa.

Abstract

The purpose of learning Indonesian is to hone students' language skills. One of the things that is developed is the skill of writing scientific articles. In practice, there are still many errors in students' scientific article work. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the misuse of the Indonesian language in scientific articles of students of Al Khoiriyah Sumbergempol High School. The data source of this research is 34 articles by students. The data collection technique used in this study is a documentary study technique and is assisted by an instrument in the form of a data recording card. The analysis of research data includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of data analysis found two categories of errors, namely errors in the use of spelling and errors in the preparation of the structure of scientific articles. Writing errors include mistakes in the use of letters, use of words, use of punctuation, and writing terms/absorption of foreign languages. Structural errors include errors in the preparation of titles, abstracts, editorial sections, research results, and conclusion/closing sections. This is important to be a concern and a reflection material for future learning as well as prepare the skills of students who will continue their studies in higher education.
