Abstract

Abstract

The narcotics abuse in Indonesia is closely related to narcotics users who obtain it from illicit trafficking that caused by drug attacks in Indonesia that reached the point of endangering the nation life and security. The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) noted that 5.9 million children from 87 million child population in Indonesia are became drug addicts. This research aims to find out how the application of criminal law to children as perpetrators of drug abuse and how the juridical analysis based on judge's considerations in making criminal decisions for children as perpetrators of narcotics crimes. This research uses normative legal research that confines itself to the study of the law as an object and excludes any non-legal information from discussed problem. This research shows that when a child commits a crime within the specified age limit, it is a legal obligation for law enforcement officials to conduct special procedural law for children, and it is prohibited to apply general procedural law. However, if a child commits a crime beyond their age limit, the law enforcement officials has an authority to implement the general procedural law.

Abstract

Health and poverty are two interconnected issues that form a cycle of cause and effect. Poverty limits access to adequate healthcare services, increasing the risk of diseases and lowering the quality of life. Conversely, poor health exacerbates economic conditions for low-income families through high medical expenses and lost productivity. This article examines the relationship between health and poverty in Indonesia, its impact on societal welfare, and government initiatives such as the National Health Insurance (JKN) program and economic empowerment efforts to break this cycle. Based on a literature review, comprehensive solutions are required to address both issues simultaneously to achieve a healthier and more prosperous society.

Abstract

Molecular confirmation of the existence of Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) on Java Island has not been widely reported. This study aimed to identify the armyworm from Java Island molecularly based on DNA mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (MtDNA COI). There were six armyworms collected from West Java Province (Cirebon - JWB1, Garut - JWB2), Central Java Province (Wonogiri - JWTH), East Java Province (Gresik - JWTR), DI Yogyakarta Province (Bantul - DIY), and Banten Province (Serang - BNT). The results showed that the fall armyworm originating from Java was verified as Spodoptera frugiperda. There were species variations between them, which had species similarity between regions and countries, namely the species similarity of S. frugiperda Java and West Sumatra, as well as to China, Korea, and India. S. frugiperda from Central Java (JWTH), Banten (BNT), West Java 1 (JWB1), and Yogyakarta (DIY) had species similarity to S. frugiperda from Solok (No. Acc. MW876212.1), West Pasaman (No. Acc. MW876211.1), China (No.Acc. MK591010.1) and Korea (No.Acc. MN427930.1). Meanwhile, S. frugiperda West Java (JWB2) and East Java had species similarity to S. frugiperda from India (No. Acc. MT732476.1), Padang Pariaman (No. Acc. MW876208.1), and Tanah Datar (No. Acc. MW876210.1).
