Abstract

One of the aspects that influence the emergence of students' career interests to make a career choice in a particular profession or job because of ethnic origin, social interaction, kinship which is considered good by the local community where an individual grows and develops. Some of the student's choices can be part of the purpose of life that leads to the tendency of a career profession because it reflects the conditions of the area he occupies. This study aims to obtain an overview of students' interests in terms of sociographic conditions of ethnic origin and gender. This study uses a quantitative approach with two-way Anova test inferential statistics. Data collection uses an interest scale to reveal the tendency of students' interest based on ethnicity, regional origin and kinship. The number of respondents is 803 and the sample is 10% or 83 people consisting of the Butonese, Bugis, Javanese, Wakatobi and Balinese. The results of this study show several findings and the influence of socio-economic conditions of student interest on the suitability of personality type and work environment based on the theory of interest in Holland that they choose.

Abstract

Kasus kekerasan di sekolah akhir-akhir ini meningkat, salah satunya perundungan yang dapat menyebabkan siswa menjadi apatis bersekolah karena merasa terancam dan takut. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan depresi tahap ringan dan mengganggu pembelajaran di kelas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa layanan informasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran diri siswa  SMK Negeri 3 Baubau dalam mencegah perilaku bullying. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran diri siswa dalam perilaku bullying adalah memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam kepada siswa tentang bullying, membantu siswa memahami perasaan dan penderitaan yang dialami oleh korban, mendorong siswa untuk menghormati orang lain, membantu siswa dalam menghadapi bullying, serta meningkatkan kesehatan mental dan kesejahteraan siswa dalam mengurangi perilaku bullying di sekolah. Metode pengabdian menggunakan tahap persiapan dan tahap pelaksanaan melalui layanan informasi. Sasarannya di kelas X Jurusan Tata Boga. Objek pengabdian ini di SMK Negeri 3 Baubau. Dalam pengabdian ini dilakukan kepada siswa agar diharapkan siswa dapat lebih sadar akan dampak dari perilaku bullying yang dapat menyebabkan stress, kecemasan dan depresi bagi korban.

Abstract

The choice of specialization path or subject at school (SMA) is now based more on academic achievement alone, ignoring self-potential and sociographic conditions of students, making it possible for students to be confused about planning the right career choice. Putting aside the conditions of the area where he grows and develops, conditions include ethnic origin, social interactions, family status, kinship relations in the surrounding community, so that in his career he has difficulty planning the right career. The aim of this research is to produce a specialization service model based on personal potential, sociographic conditions and career planning for Baubau City High School students. The research uses a mixed method approach and is analyzed based on research and development. The research subjects were 127 students and 10 guidance and counseling teachers, taken using a purposive sampling technique plus 2 guidance and counseling experts spread across 13 high schools and vocational schools in Baubau. Data collection uses a specialization scale combined with sociographic conditions and career planning. The model was prepared hypothetically and limited trials from ten stages were reduced to 6 research stages to formulate an appropriate student specialization service model based on personal potential, learning achievement, and sociographic conditions and career planning. The model will have 9 components and effectively determine and provide recommendations for specialization based on personal potential, sociographic conditions, and the direction of students' future career planning more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Kenakalan remaja memiliki dampak yang luas, baik pada individu, keluarga, maupun masyarakat. Layanan bimbingan dan konseling merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengembangkan karir masa depan siswa. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam kepada siswa SMKN 3 Baubau tentang prevensi kenakalan siswa serta peningkatan kesiapan pengembangan karir melalui bimbingan dan konseling. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini melalui konseling intensif pada siswa seperti konseling individual, bimbingan kelompok dan bimbingan klasikal. dari suatu gejala akan fenomena yang ada ketika artikel dilakukan. Layanan bimbingan dan konseling sangat penting dalam pengembangan karir masa depan siswa SMKN 3 Baubau, karena siswa dapat secara aktif dalam menceritakan dan mendiskusikan masalah yang sedang mereka alami dan tujuan untuk mengembangkan karir siswa. Sekolah perlu memberikan bimbingan dan konseling secara terstruktur dan berkelanjutan, agar siswa dapat memahami dan menerima diri dan lingkungan belajar, merencanakan kegiatan dalam penyelesaian studi, serta perkembangan karir dan kehidupannya di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of narrative counseling in enhancing the meaningfulness of life among high school and vocational students in Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province. A quasi-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The participants included 173 students who completed the Meaningfulness of Life Scale and 32 school counselor who had undergone narrative counseling capacity-building training. Through purposive random sampling, 34 school counselor were divided equally into experimental and control groups, with each group comprising 17 school counselor. Each teacher provided narrative counseling to 17 students identified with low to moderately low levels of meaningfulness in life. Narrative counseling sessions were conducted over 3 to 4 sessions by school counselor. The meaningfulness of students' lives was assessed through six indicators: self-understanding, positive attitude change, life purpose, strong commitment, self-direction, and effective social support seeking. Results indicated significant improvements across these indicators. Initially categorized predominantly as low, five indicators improved significantly to fairly high levels, while one indicator reached a moderate category post-intervention. The statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of 0.01 (p < 0.05), confirming a statistically significant difference between pre- and post-intervention outcomes. The Asym.sig (2-tailed) result also confirmed this significance with a value of 0.01. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of narrative counseling in enhancing students' meaningfulness of life. Consequently, narrative counseling is validated as a valuable strategy for empowering students in high school and vocational settings, significantly fostering their sense of purpose and life direction.

Abstract

Bullying in elementary schools is often triggered by children's weak social character rooted in authoritarian or permissive parenting. This service activity aims to increase the understanding and skills of parents and teachers in implementing democratic parenting as a bullying prevention strategy in elementary schools. The implementation method includes three stages: needs analysis through surveys and interviews; education through seminars, parenting training, and teacher workshops; and evaluation and reflection based on pretest-posttest, observation, and group discussion. Results showed a significant increase in democratic parenting literacy in parents and teachers, changes in parenting behaviors that were more communicative and supportive, and a decrease in mild bullying cases in the intervention class. School and parent collaboration also succeeded in shaping a social environment that supports children's prosocial character. The implications of this activity confirm the importance of integrating democratic parenting-based character education in school programs and sustainable parenting forums as an effective preventive effort to create a safe, inclusive and empathetic learning climate.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan internet, telah menghubungkan setiap manusia ke dalam sebuah dunia baru, dunia digital tanpa batas. Kemajuan teknologi berdampak pada cara komunikasi seseorang, berbagi berita, mencari informasi, gaya belajar, dan konten. Adab menggunakan media sosial adalah suatu sikap dan perilaku yang harus di kedepankan ketika berinteraksi dengan orang lain ketika menggunakan media sosial sehingga menghindari dari dampak negatif yang merugikan diri sendiri dan orang lain khususnya dikalangan remaja. Oleh karena itu, Pembelajaran ini dilakukan agar membiasakan sikap menggunakan media sosial yang santun, saling menghormati, bertanggung jawab, semangat kebangsaan dan cinta damai serta meyakini bahwa adab menggunakan media sosial dalam islam dapat memberi keselamatan bagi individu dan masyarakat. Tujuan Pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan adab siswi SMK Negeri 3 Baubau kelas XI kecantikan II dalam menggunakan media sosial. Pembelajaran ini menggunakan metode Diskusi yang membantu siswi memahami etika dalam menggunakan media sosial. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswi kelas XI Kecantikan II mengenai adab menggunakan media sosial.
