Abstract

The energy crisis prompted the Indonesian government to change the paradigm towards new and renewable energy, from alternative energy to main energy. In order to overcome the electrical energy crisis, then conducted research on new and renewable energy. Utilization of microhydro based energy generation into one solution to be applied in effort to overcome this crisis. Microhydro power plant (PLTMH) is carried out by utilizing flow velocity (river flow) or head potential (waterfall) with water turbine connected to a generator so that it can convert mechanical energy from the turbine into electrical energy. Type of turbine used is crossflow turbine. This simulation is by varying the head potential (1.6 m, 1.8m, 2 m, 2.2 m, 2.4 m) and the direction of flow (horizontal overshoot, vertical overshoot, and undershoot) generated electrical energy. Based on the research results, the optimal flow direction horizontal overshoot flow which produces flow discharge 20 liter/min, the electrical energy 16 watt, and at height of 2.4 meters and the electrical energy15.3 watt.

Abstract

The high increase in production of empty oil palm fruit bunch waste in the palm oil industry has not been utilized optimally. Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) must be further processed with the aim of reducing pollution and increasing use value. The aim of this research is to compare syngas products using TKKS waste and using natural bentonite catalysts. Gasification is carried out at temperatures of 450, 500, 550, and 600°C. The addition of a natural bentonite catalyst to the gasification process can increase the composition and volume of the gas. In the gasification process, the higher the reaction temperature, the greater the conversion percentage produced. This is proven in the syngas product produced at a temperature of 600 °C. In non-catalytic EFB gasification, the largest concentrations of H2 and CO were obtained, namely 21.86%vol and 11.93%vol. With the addition of natural bentonite, the concentrations of H2 and CO increased by 27.18%vol and 14.21%vol. Gasification efficiency is seen from the optimum H2/CO ratio value of 1.91, CG/NCG value of 5.81, CCE value of 77.07, and CGE value of 62.67. The calorific value in terms of the optimum HHV and LHV values is 11.40 MJ/Nm3 and 10.26 MJ/Nm3 using a bentonite catalyst. EFB catalytic gasification using a natural bentonite catalyst is better for producing high-quality synthetic gas products for the production of good environmental fuel.

Abstract

The Ferris wheel is one of the rides at the night bazaar and is often encountered by students. This is a potential for math learning. Through Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, students learn mathematics with contexts close to students' lives as a starting point. Therefore, this study aims to design a learning trajectory using the RME approach with a Ferris wheel as a context in the learning process to support students' understanding of learning trigonometric comparison. The research method used is a type of design research called validation studies, which consists of three stages: preliminary design, design experiment, and retrospective analysis. The subjects of this study were 27 class X students from SMAN 3 Sungai Penuh. The instruments used are videos to see the learning process and when students work on the given problems, and photos to see the results of student work. The results of the study explored the learning trajectory practiced by using the Ferris wheel as a context, which is seen in students' daily activities. The learning trajectory consists of four activities, namely sketching a simpler Ferris wheel, redrawing the parts of the Ferris wheel where seats A and B are, measuring and comparing sides in a right triangle, and determining trigonometric comparisons.

Abstract

Learning difficulties are a major problem in the learning process, especially in learning mathematics. This is felt by several students in class XI MIA 2 MAN 1 Sungai Penuh, where there are several students who have difficulty in understanding mathematical concepts, difficulty in acquiring the ability to read, write, or speak fluently and effectively, and limited learning time. Therefore. this mentoring aims to help individuals achieve better learning outcomes. With learning assistance, it is hoped that they can overcome the difficulties or obstacles they face in understanding the material. The mentoring method consists of three stages, namely preparation or preliminary study, implementation of mentoring and evaluation of activities. Assistance is provided to 5 students who need assistance because of their poor understanding of the material being studied. From the results of the assistance, it was found that math learning assistance greatly helped students in understanding and mastering mathematical concepts through more focused explanations and individualized support.

Abstract

Abstract: Since 2019, the difference in the increase in per capita expenditure of the population has continued to decline, and the most significant was only IDR 18,464 in 2021, indicating that the level of consumption of the population has not improved significantly, and the turnover of the community's economy is also not good. Multiple linear regression is more appropriate than other types of linear regression because it considers the influence of more than one independent variable on the dependent variable. However, problems may arise in the use of multiple linear regression, such as multicollinearity. To overcome this problem, other methods such as LASSO and adaptive LASSO should be used. Both methods have the ability to overcome multicollinearity between independent variables, thereby reducing the risk of misestimation. Nevertheless, the LASSO and Adaptive LASSO methods have differences in selecting important variables, so it is necessary to compare which method is better in terms of identifying influential variables. Based on the MSE and R-square comparison values, it is concluded that the Adaptive LASSO method model is the best model with a lower MSE value and a higher R-square value of 93%. The variable selection results of the Adaptive LASSO model are population size, number of households, average number of household members, constant price GDP, confirmed cases of COVID-19, human development index, percentage of the poor population, university student participation rate, and open unemployment rate.

Abstract

Abstract

The representation of women in the legislative field, especially in the election of legislative members in 2019 is quite large and of course will provide balance and color the formulation of laws and regulations, budgeting and supervision with a gender perspective in Sungai Penuh City, so that the presence of women in the political arena is not only a formality. The formulation of the research problem, namely, how is the representation of women in the legislative elections (Case Study at the Sungai Penuh City DPRD 2019)? The research objective is to determine the representation of women in the legislative elections (Case Study at the River City DPRD 2019). This research uses a qualitative approach where data is obtained through field interviews with 5 informants referring to 4 research indicators, namely 1. Socialization 2. Recruitment. 3. Cadreization 4. Communication. The data obtained in the field were analyzed based on the classification of the informants' answers which were described in the results and discussion of the research which was then carried out by the interpreter of the researcher. It is known that the representation of women in the legislative elections (Case Study at the Sungai Penuh City DPRD 2019) from the four research indicators, none of them can represent the voice of women in the Sungai Penuh City DPRD. The lack of maximum presence of women in legislative elections so that they do not get vote support.
