Abstract

The cement production process is one of the most energy and cost intensive in the world. In order to produce clinker, a cement industry requires the substantial energy consumption. About 70% of energy consumption lies on the unit of rotary kiln system. The higher amount of energy consumption is due to the lack of work efficiency tools leading the waste heat. This reserach was focus on modeling of the waste heat recovery in the rotary kiln system using CFD. Analysis of mass and energy balance was used to determine the sources of heat loss from kiln system. The results showed that the distribustion of the input heat to the system is a good agreement with the output energy and gave the significant insights oft the reasons for the low overall system efficiency. The system efficiency is obtained of 53 %. The major heat loss sources have been determined as kiln exhaust (21.88% of total input), cooler exhaust to stack (9.62 % of total input) and heat loss astemated as heat from kiln surface (13.54 % of total input). The amount of heat energy can be absorbed by air amounted to 163,080 Kcal / hour and can be used as air for combustion of fuel. Based on data calculation, the amount of coal can be saved amounted to 738 kg / day.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui tingkat efektivitasMGMP Geografi dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru mata pelajaran Geografi SMA Negeri Kota Semarang dan kendala-kendala yang menghambat MGMP Geografi dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru mata pelajaran Geografi SMA Negeri di Kota Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif.Hasil penelitian kompetensi profesional guru Geografi SMA Negeri Kota Semarang yang tergabung dalam MGMP Geografi SMA Kota Semarang yakni rata-rata persentase sebesar 79,46 % dan rata-rata skor sebesar 3 dengan hasil kriteria profesional.Kendala-kendala yang menghambat MGMP Geografi SMA Kota Semarang dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru Geografi SMA Negeri di Kota Semarang, yakni : kurangnya motivasi guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional, masalah waktu dan kesibukan rutinitas mengajar, keterbatasan media pembelajaran, dan perubahan kurikulum pendidikan. The purpose of this researchareto find out the effectiveness ofMGMPGeography in increasing professional competence of Geography teachers inState Senior High School of Semarang and the difficulties that prevent MGMPGeography in increasing professional competence of Geography teachers in State Senior High School of Semarang. The method that used in this research is a quantitative approach with a descriptive analysis. The results of this study of professional competence of Geography teachers in State Senior High School of Semarang who are member ofMGMP Geography of State Senior High School of Semarangare the average percentage is 79,46% and the average score is 3 with the result is professional criteria. The difficulties that prevent MGMP Geography in increasing professional competence of Geography teachers in State Senior High School of Semarangarethe lack of motivation of the Geography teachers to increase their professional competence, the matter of time and busy with teaching, the lack of teaching media, and the changing of curriculum.

Abstract

Inhibiting effect of nitrogen compounds in petroleum diesel (gas oil) on theperformance of the catalyst NiMo/Al2O3 and CoMo/Al2O3 uponhydrodesulfurization (HDS) has been investigated using an autoclave reactor.Operating conditions used was 340oC temperature and initial pressure 50 kg/cm2H2. Oil sample used was diesel oil and diesel oil-free nitrogen. Stages of thereaction between hydrogen replacement is intended to find out more about otherinhibiting effects derived from byproducts such as H2S and NH3. The entirecompound in diesel oil was analyzed by GC-AED before and afterhydrotreatment. Catalysts NiMo/Al2O3 and CoMo/Al2O3 showed different activityin HDS and the effect of nitrogen compounds. In principle, the HDS to type withhighly reactive sulfur / reactive will be more resistant to inhibiting properties ofnitrogen than sulfur compounds are hard to react (refractory). In contrast, forcatalysts showed como real effect of nitrogen compounds. One of refractorycompounds are 4,6-dibenzothiophene (4,6-DMDBT), can effectivelyhydrogenated by the removal of hydrogen compounds and renewal nitrogen onthe HDS. This result shows the synergistic effect due to dischargesimultaneously both types of block. Furthermore, in brief reactive nitrogencompounds in the HDS also discussed in this paper.Kata kunci: hydrodesulfurisasi, hambatan senyawa nitrogen, katalisNiMo/Al2O3, CoMo/Al2O3, GC-AED

Abstract

The existence of a jump cloth industry in the Palembang Kertapati Potatoes as many as 26 home industries as the central center of the fabric industry in Palembang City has had a positive impact as well as a negative impact. The positive impact of the availability of jobs for the surrounding community while the negative impact is causing water pollution. The purpose of the study was to analyze community perceptions, especially related to public health, near the jump center industrial location in Tuan Kentang Village, Jakabaring District, Palembang. The study population was 521 families. The sample of 105 households by stratified random sampling is a community that lives around the jump center industrial center. This study uses a quantitative method, with a cross-sectional design. The instrument of data collection in the form of a questionnaire based on the health belief model concept, interviews, and observations, the data were analyzed by multiple logistic regression. The results showed that community perceptions (53.3%) of public health-related industries were categorized as poor. Chi-Square test results showed a relationship between age (p-value 0.009), gender (p-value 0.003), education level (p-value 0.019) and environmental sanitation conditions (p-value 0.031) to community perceptions. It was concluded that age has a relationship with people's perception of the jumputan industry center in the city of Palembang.

Abstract

Abstrak Paradigma yang terjadi selama ini tentang mata pelajaran Penjasorkes yaitu membosankan, monoton, dan kurang variatif. Keadaan seperti ini tentu saja memberikan kesan yang negatif terhadap peserta didik (siswa), sehingga menimbulkan perasaan tidak suka, malas, bosan dan lain-lain, terlebih peserta didik (siswa) yang masih berusia Sekolah Dasar dimana pada dasarnya anak usia tujuh sampai dua belas tahun suka mengeksplorasi gerakan yang membuat mereka senang & gembira. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh modifikasi pembelajaran passing bawah bolavoli terhadap minat siswa kelas V SD dalam mengikuti mata pelajaran penjasorkes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dan desain yang digunakan adalah one group pre-test and post-test design, dimana yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah ssiswa kelas V Ki Hajar Dewantara SD Negeri 1 Bangunsari Ponorogo sebanyak 32 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket atau kuesioner untuk mengukur seberapa besar minat siswa dalam mengikuti mata pelajaran penjasorkes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan sampel sebanyak 32 siswa, rata-rata ( pre-test ) yaitu didapat jumlah skor rata-rata sebesar 3,611 dengan standart deviasi 0,601, varian sebesar 0,362 dengan skor minimal adalah 2,47 dan skor maksimal adalah 5,00.Sedangkan hasil data yang diperoleh setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan modifikasi pembelajaran passing bawah bolavoli ( post-test ) yaitu didapat jumlah skor rata-rata sebesar 4,288 dengan standart deviasi 0,573, varian sebesar 0,329 dengan skor minimal adalah 2,47 dan skor maksimal adalah 5,00. Modifikasi pembelajaran passing bawah bolavoli yang diberikan pada siswa memberikan peningkatan minat siswa terhadap mata pelajaran penjasorkes sebesar 16,89%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tentang pengaruh modifikasi pembelajaran passing bawah bolavoli terhadap minat siswa dalam mengikuti mata pelajaran penjasorkes memiliki nilai sig. 4.663 > 1.6905, ttabel < thitung maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari modifikasi pembelajaran passing bawah bolavoli terhadap minat siswa kelas V SD dalam mengikuti mata pelajaran penjasorkes Kata Kunci: modifikasi pembelajaran passing bawah bolavoli, minat siswa Abstract Nowadays paradigm of Penjasorkes are bored, monotone, and less of creativity. These conditions surely create a negative impact to the students and make unwell feeling, laziness, bored etc. Moreover, the students in elementary school grades whom seven to twelve years old. They like explore some movements which can make them happy. The purpose of this research is to know how big the effect of underpass learning modification in volleyball games toward fifth grade students’ interest in joining Penjasorkes lesson. This research is a mien experimental research and uses “one group pre-test and post-test design” as the design where the sample of this research is thirty two students of Ki Hajar Dewantara in fifth grade state elementary school 1 Bangunsari Ponorogo. The research instrument is in the form of questionnaire for measuring how big the students’ interest in joing penjasorkes lesson. Based on the finding from the sample of thirty two students, the average (pre-test) can be found the total of average score about 3.611 with the deviation standard 0.601, variant of 2.47 and maximal score 5.00. Meanwhile, the data finding which has been got after giving the treatment with learning modification of underpass in volleyball games (post-test) can be found the average score about 4.288 with the deviation standard 0.573, variant 0.329 with the minimal score 2.47 and the maximal score 5.00. The underpass learning modification in volleyball which is given to the students can make the increasing of the students’ interest toward Penjasorkes lesson about 16.89%. Based on the data analysis about the effect of underpass learning modification in volleyball games toward fifth grade students’ interest in joining Penjasorkes lesson is sig. 4.663 > 1.6905, ttable < tcount so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. We can conclude from the finding that there is a significant influence from underpass learning modification in volleyball toward fifth grade students’ interest in joining Penjasorkes lesson. Abstract

Indonesia is strongly built by the nation's next generation of powerfull and robust which is in the hands of early childhood. So to create the next generation a strong responsibility to be educated not only on formal institutional agencies. But the "home" is then termed "family" as an institution and the first main roles and functions that are crucial in the process of planting and establishment of the national character. Through character building in a family that includes aspects of maternal bonding, security compliance and fulfillment of physical and mental stimulation, as well as the implementation of appropriate parenting on children will build the next generation of Indonesian nation strong and resilient in facing the challenges of globalization in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa MAN 1 Subang lebih tinggi menggunakan model Reciprocal Teaching daripada memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. Kelompok eksperimen model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran biasa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa MAN 1 Subang dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas X sebanyak dua kelas yang dipilih Non-random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa tes dan non tes. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa diukur dengan instrumen tes berupa soal-soal yang berbentuk uraian. Respon siswa diketahui dengan Instrumen non tes berupa angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa MAN 1 Subang lebih tinggi menggunakan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching daripada memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Respon siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching memberikan respon positif.

Abstract

Coal mining activities can cause problems from for environment, especially the mining with surface mining method producing acid mine water. To solve these problems, we need to restore the output water conditionbefore it flows into the public waters so it can meet the environmental quality standard in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations. In this research, coal mining waste management was done by phytoremediation technique. This technique is the use water plants to give wastewater treatment. Water plants was used in this study was Kiambang (Salvinianatans), Apu wood plant (Pistiastratatiotes), and water hyacinth (Eichhorniacrassipers). This research observed the effect of time on the absorption of iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) and the species of plant was used as phytoremediation agent. The results of the study discovered that the highest metal absorption in plants (phytoremediation agents) for 30 days for Mangan (Mn) parameter was water hyacinth (Eichhorniacrassipers) and the most absorption agent for iron was Kiambang (Salvinianatans) while based on measurement of metal content in the wastewater of mining, water hyacinth (Eichhorniacrassipers) was the most effective agent to absorb the iron (Fe) and Kiambang (Salvinianatans) absorbed Mangan (Mn) the most.

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this project work is to convert waste plastics into useful fuel range hydrocarbon mixture. The catalytic cracking process of polypropylene plastic waste (mineral water cup) was performed in a fixed-bed reactor with bentonite catalyst, at five temperatures ranging from 150 to 350oC with percent catalyst of 4%.The amounts of liquid fuel produced, as well as the compositions of the resulting liquid fuel, were determined by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry. The influences of cracking parameters, such as temperature and catalyst mass, on product yields were investigated. The optimum conditions cracking of polypropylene plastics waste with bentonite as catalyst is at temperature of 350oC with 4% catalyst mass or20 grams. The highest liquid yield (41.5%) was obtained using 20 gram Bentonite catalyst at 350oC. The highest percent composition of C6H14, C7H16 andC8H18 in liquid product is 16.92%, 18.48%, and 12.22% respectively at temperature of 350oC.
