Abstract

Islamic Education in Indonesia has undergone significant progress in line with the rapid development of technology. However, these developments are also part of the Western globalization strategy to spread the values of Western civilization. The impact is not only positive but also negative, even threatening the existence of Islamic educational institutions. To cope with the negative impact of globalization and the shift in values, revitalization of the values of the Quran in Islamic education is an important step. This article aims to provide a new insight into the role of Islamic education in shaping the character, morals, and achievements of pupils to support the education of future Muslim generations. It is done by exploring further the values of the Qur'an contained in Surah Al-Alaq verses 1-5. This research uses qualitative methods, a kind of library research. The approach used in this study is a phenomenological approach aimed at gaining a deep understanding, performing detailed descriptions, applying deep reductions, highlighting intersubjectivity, as well as exploring the meaning of the object of study under study. The results of the research show that based on the results of the analysis of the verses of the Qur'an, they contain fundamental values that can be a guide in the maintenance of Islamic education. Among them are humility and respect, the importance of knowledge and respect for science, independence and responsibility, and appreciation of the learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak Tanda baca memiliki kaitan erat dengan Ilmu Rasm dan Ilmu Dabt. Bahkan pakar dalam Ilmu Rasm yakni Abu ‘Amr Ad-Dânî (w. 444 H/ 1052 M) dan Abû Dâwud Sulaiman (w. 496 H/ 1103 M) menulis kitab dhabt sebagai penyanding Ilmu Rasm Utsmani. Secara garis besar, ad- Dânî cenderung untuk mengikuti apa yang telah dicontohkan oleh para Sahabat dan Tabi’în yang menjadikan titik sebagai tanda baca. Ad-Dânî cenderung untuk melestarikan apa yang telah diijtihadkan ulama` terdahulu. Dalam pembubuhan tanda baca, ad-Dânî dominan mengikuti Abû al-Aswad ad-Duali. Berbeda dengan Abû Dâwûd Sulaimân yang cenderung berani melakukan inovasi dan memberikan opsi dalam membubuhkan tanda baca sehinga sampai saat ini banyak mushaf yang tertulis dengan pedoman kitab karya Abû Dâwûd Sulaimân. Penulisan Al-Qur`an menggunakan kaidah Rasm Utsmani kini sedang ramai dilestarikan di berbagai negara Islam. Penelitian terhadap mushaf-mushaf ini, didapati ia bukan hanya berbeda pada sudut bacaan di antara riwayat-riwayat tersebut, namun turut berbeda pada beberapa aspek yang lain seperti rasm (tulisan), dhabt (tanda), fawasil (penentuan ayat), penentuan rub’ dan hizb, serta hukum waqf dan ibtida’. Ketidakpekaan terhadap perbedaan dalam perkara ini boleh mengundang sangkaan bahwa terdapat kesilapan dan kesalahan di dalam percetakan mushaf al-Quran yang merupakan kitab suci umat Islam. Justru objektif kertas kerja ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti perbedaan yang terdapat di antara mushaf-mushaf al-Quran yang dicetak berdasarkan berbagai riwayat dari sudut dhabt, seterusnya melakukan perbandingan dalam aspek tersebut di antara mushaf-mushaf. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif yang menggunakan metodologi pemerhatian, analisis dan perbandingan terhadap teks al-Quran dan kitab-kitab yang menjadi rujukan utama dalam bidang ilmu dhabt al-Quran. Di antara dapatan penting kajian ini adalah; terdapat perbedan dalam aspek dhabt yang merangkumi perbedaan dalam nuqat al-i’rab dan nuqat al-i’jam, disebabkan perbedaan kaedah perletakan tanda antara mazhab masyariqah dan magharibah. Dan juga perbedaan antara Ilmu Dhabt dan Ilmu Rasm.

Abstract

The rapid transformation of social and cultural values has significantly altered individual perceptions of marriage, leading to the emergence of gamophobia—an excessive fear of marriage and long-term commitment. This phenomenon has become increasingly prevalent among younger generations, influenced by rising divorce rates, economic uncertainty, and media exposure that portrays negative representations of marriage. This study aims to identify the underlying factors contributing to gamophobia and propose Qur’anic-based solutions as interpreted in Tafsir Al-Munir by Wahbah Az-Zuhaili. Using a qualitative approach through library research and thematic exegesis analysis (tafsir maudhu’i), this study examines gamophobia from the perspectives of marital psychology and Islamic studies. The findings reveal three primary factors triggering gamophobia: (1) fear of infidelity due to past experiences of betrayal, (2) concerns about the inability to establish a stable household, and (3) emotional unpreparedness in handling marital conflicts and commitments. Unlike previous studies that predominantly focus on psychological aspects, this research integrates Islamic values as solutions, including choosing a partner with effective conflict resolution skills, practicing tawakkul (trust in Allah) after making efforts, and fostering positive perceptions of divine decree. By employing a multidisciplinary approach that bridges marital psychology and Qur’anic exegesis, this study highlights that gamophobia can be mitigated through a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings, spiritual resilience, and enhanced emotional and mental preparedness for marriage.

Abstract

The semantic interpretation of the term al-fitnah in the Qur’an reveals a complex spectrum of meanings, often reduced in common discourse to mere defamation or slander. This study aims to explore the multidimensional meanings of al-fitnah through the lens of Fathul Qadir, a classical tafsir by Imam al-Shawkani, using the al-wujûh wa al-nazhâ’ir approach—a linguistic methodology that categorizes polysemous terms based on contextual usage in different verses. Employing a qualitative library research design combined with thematic exegesis, the study maps the occurrences and meanings of al-fitnah across 60 instances in 58 surahs. The findings reveal a wide range of meanings including trial, punishment, disbelief, misguidance, chaos, deceit, and sin. The analysis highlights al-Shawkani’s nuanced interpretive strategy and its relevance to contemporary socio-religious discourses. The study contributes to Qur’anic hermeneutics by integrating a classical linguistic framework with modern contextual readings, thereby enriching thematic interpretations of key Qur’anic terms. Abstrak: Pemaknaan kata al-fitnah dalam Al-Qur’an menunjukkan keragaman semantik yang kompleks, yang seringkali tidak terjangkau oleh pemahaman umum masyarakat yang cenderung menyempitkannya hanya pada konteks pencemaran nama baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna kata al-fitnah dalam Al-Qur’an melalui tafsir Fathul Qadir karya Imam Asy-Syaukani dengan pendekatan al-wujûh wa al-nazhâ’ir, suatu pendekatan linguistik-klasik dalam studi tafsir yang memetakan ragam makna lafaz musytarak berdasarkan konteks ayat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dan tafsir tematik (maudhu‘i), yang kemudian dikontekstualisasikan melalui klasifikasi makna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kata al-fitnah ditemukan sebanyak 60 kali dalam 58 surah, dengan makna yang beragam seperti ujian, adzab, kekufuran, kesesatan, kekacauan, hingga tipu daya dan dosa. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan Asy-Syaukani dalam tafsirnya menunjukkan kehati-hatian semantik dan sensitivitas kontekstual yang khas, serta membuka ruang refleksi teologis atas berbagai bentuk “fitnah” dalam dinamika sosial-keagamaan kontemporer. Kontribusi utama studi ini terletak pada integrasi pendekatan al-wujûh wa al-nazhâ’ir dengan tafsir klasik, sehingga memperluas horizon kajian linguistik-tematik dalam studi Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Regions and countries with Muslim majority populations have not fully accepted leaders who are not from within their circles. This case has occurred in several countries, one of which is Indonesia, such as the appointment of the Lenteng Agung village chief, Susan Jasmine Zulkifli, who is a Christian. In addition, there was also the appointment of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama as the Governor of DKI Jakarta who had a Christian and Chinese background. The above case makes the need for research from the point of view of al-Qur`an through Hamka's Tafsir al-Azhar and M. Quraish Shihab's Tafsir al-Mishbah by proposing formulas, namely: 1) How to interpret the verses choosing a non-Muslim leader in the Koran according to Hamka and Muhammad Quraish Shihab? 2) How are the similarities and differences between Hamka's interpretation and Muhammad Quraish Shihab regarding the verses of the Koran about choosing a non-Muslim leader in the Qur'an? This research is a library research (Library Research) with the thematic method or Mawd {u> 'i> as well as a comparison of the two interpretations. The conclusion of this research is that Hamka refuses to make non-Muslims as leaders, while M. Quraish Shihab does not directly prohibit choosing non-Muslims as leaders. The common ground between Hamka and M. Quraish Shihab is that they both prohibit choosing non-Muslim leaders. The difference is that Hamka understands based on the birth of the text, while M. Quraish Shihab is based on context.

Abstract

In practice reading the Qur'an there are many methods or procedures for being able to read the Qur'an properly and correctly. One of the many methods of reading the Qur'an is the Qirati method. The QABIATI method is the method of teaching and learning in the Qur'an in a tartil, taught and reading without spelling. In this paper the data obtained descriptively compiled with qualitative research methods. Referring to the meaning of tartil in the letter Al-Muzammil verse four in this paper explained that the Qirati method implements the interpretation of the letter Al-Muzammil verse four. Because the method that focuses on the rules of Tajwid also with the advantages of teachers who cannot carelessly make the quality of the good and true Qur'an reading

Abstract

Tafsir Bi Sunnah merupakan bagian dari penafsiran dalam bentuk bil ma’tsur yaitu penafsiran berdasarkan periwayatan. Tafsir Bi Sunnah merupakan cara menafsirkan Al-Quran dengan sunnah, sunnah dapat diartikan segala sesuatu berupa perkataan, perbuatan dan ketetapan yang dilakukan Rasulullah Saw. Apa yang terdapat dalam sunnah adalah pemahaman Rasulullah Saw. terhadap Al-Quran. As-Sunnah sebagai sumber hukum setelah Al-Quran berfungsi sebagai penjelas dalam memahami ayat Al-Quran terutama yang masih bersifat umum. Secara umum penulis ingin memfokuskan pada tafsir bi sunnah menurut Ibn Katsir. Dimana setelah menafsirkan Al-Quran dengan Al-Quran , Ibn Katsir melanjutkan menafsirkan Al-Quran dengan As-Sunnah. Dalam Tafsir Bi Sunnah penafsiran berdasrkan hadist-hadist yang sanad nya sampai kepada Rasulullah Saw. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan karena data diperoleh dari berbagai kitab, jurnal dan berbagai buku yang terkait dengan materi penelitian. Tafsir Bi Sunnah berfungs memberikan penjelasan terhadap ayat yang masih bersifat global, yang belum dijelaskan hukumnya di dalam Al-Quran.

Abstract

Gender is a concept that describes the socially and culturally constructed differences in roles and responsibilities between men and women. In Islam, Surah Al-Ahzab verse 35 affirms gender equality in spiritual and moral aspects, emphasizing that both men and women have equal opportunities to achieve virtue. Muhammad Syahrur's Limit Theory also provides a new perspective on the flexibility of Islamic law in adapting gender norms to evolving social contexts. This study highlights the importance of understanding gender in building a more just and inclusive society while encouraging a more progressive interpretation of religious texts. This study examines gender equality in Surah Al-Ahzab verse 35 through the perspective of Muhammad Syahrur using the Limit Theory approach. This verse is considered a significant foundation that affirms the equality of roles between men and women in Islam. Employing a qualitative method and thematic interpretation approach, this study analyzes the minimum and maximum limits in Limit Theory to understand the implications of the verse on the concept of gender equality. The findings reveal that Muhammad Syahrur's interpretation offers a contextual approach relevant to universal values, while also providing critique against patriarchal views in traditional interpretations. This study emphasizes the relevance of the Qur'an as a guide supporting gender equality in various aspects of life. Gender merupakan konsep yang menggambarkan perbedaan peran dan tanggung jawab laki-laki dan perempuan yang dikonstruksi secara sosial dan budaya. Dalam Islam, Surah Al-Ahzab ayat 35 menegaskan kesetaraan gender dalam aspek spiritual dan moral, menunjukkan bahwa baik laki-laki maupun perempuan memiliki peluang yang sama dalam mencapai kebajikan. Pendekatan Muhammad Syahrur dengan Teori Limit juga memberikan pemahaman baru tentang fleksibilitas hukum Islam dalam menyesuaikan norma-norma gender dengan konteks sosial yang berkembang. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya pemahaman gender dalam membangun masyarakat yang lebih adil dan inklusif, serta mendorong interpretasi yang lebih progresif terhadap teks-teks keagamaan. Penelitian ini mengkaji kesetaraan gender dalam Surah Al-Ahzab ayat 35 melalui perspektif Muhammad Syahrur dengan pendekatan Teori Limit. Surah tersebut dianggap sebagai salah satu landasan penting yang menegaskan kesetaraan peran laki-laki dan perempuan dalam Islam. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan tafsir tematik, penelitian ini menganalisis batas minimum dan maksimum dalam Teori Limit untuk memahami implikasi ayat tersebut terhadap konsep kesetaraan gender. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tafsir Muhammad Syahrur menawarkan pendekatan kontekstual yang relevan dengan nilai-nilai universal, sekaligus memberikan kritik terhadap pandangan patriarkal dalam tafsir tradisional. Kajian ini memperkuat relevansi Al-Qur'an sebagai pedoman yang mendukung kesetaraan gender dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan.

Abstract

This article examines Sayyid Quthb's interpretation of the term al-ghulul in QS. Āli-‘Imrān verse 161 and analyzes its relevance to the concept of corruption in a modern context. How is this term considered one of the terms for corruption in the Qur'an? This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, referring to the primary source, Tafsir Fī Ẓhilālil Qur'ān, and supported by secondary sources, through a descriptive-analytical approach based on thematic interpretation. The results of the study indicate that the term ghulul in QS. Āli-‘Imrān verse 161, according to Sayyid Quthb's interpretation, refers to one form of modern corruption, namely betrayal of public trust in the form of embezzlement of collective (shared) assets for personal or group interests. Artikel ini mengkaji penafsiran Sayyid Quthb terhadap term al-ghulul dalam QS. Āli-‘Imrān ayat 161 dan menganalisis relevansinya dengan konsep korupsi dalam konteks modern. Bagaimana term tersebut dikatakan sebagai salah satu term korupsi dalam Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research), mengacu pada sumber primer yaitu Tafsir Fī Ẓhilālil Qur’ān, serta didukung oleh sumber-sumber sekunder, melalui pendekatan deskriptif-analitis berbasis tafsir tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa term ghulul pada QS. Āli-‘Imrān ayat 161 menurut penafsiran Sayyid Quthb, merujuk pada salah satu bentuk korupsi modern yaitu pengkhianatan terhadap amanah publik berbentuk penggelapan harta kolektif (Bersama) demi kepentingan pribadi atau kelompok tertentu.
