Abstract

Inculcating the values ​​of tolerance in the school environment can be formulated through the implementation of the learning process and school programs. One of them is through a handshake program (Mushafahah) accompanied by greetings, greetings, smiles, and polite and courteous behavior. However, on the other hand, there are still students who carry out less commendable behavior, for example lying, being late for school, fighting, mocking each other, and lack of enthusiasm for learning. Through descriptive qualitative research methods, the results of this study indicate that first, the implementation of the culture of shaking hands as an effort to form an attitude of tolerance in Buana Waru Middle School students is structured in routine school activities, spontaneous activities, and exemplary. Second, the supporting factors for the implementation of the culture of shaking hands start from the supervision of the school principal, family, discipline and teacher role models, and a conducive educational environment. While the inhibiting factors are the lack of support from some teachers and students in this habituation, the lack of role models for some teachers, and the less active participation of the parents. Third, the impact of the culture of shaking hands as an effort to form an attitude of tolerance in Buana Waru Middle School students can improve the personal quality of students in respecting and appreciating their teachers, as well as ethics in establishing relationships between teachers and students or students with students.

Abstract

Donations are physical gifts made by individuals or legal entities that are given voluntarily and without imbalance. Advances in internet technology are now used to raise social and humanitarian funds and help victims of natural disasters. Crowdfunding takes advantage of this situation, because it uses the internet to generate funds from internet and social media users. This research will look at how to create an Android-based crowdfunding contribution application management system for the Samarinda City area. This study intends to use the Rational Unified Process technique to create an Android-based fundraising application for flood victims, fires of religious buildings, and social institutions in Samarinda City. The main goal is to create software that fits the needs of users. It not only meets system specifications and is usable but also validates whether the system is acceptable. In accordance with the objectives of this study, researchers succeeded in building a donation-raising application for disaster victims, and based on the results of functional testing with the Black Box, the Samarinda City Donation Application has an attractive appearance, the menus available in the application are easy to understand, and the Samarinda City Donation Application this is good enough.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan bagaimana upaya guru tahsin dalam pembiasaan membaca al-qur’an juz 30 (2) mendeskripsikan bagaimana upaya guru tahsin dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa untuk membaca Al-Qur’an (3) mendeskripsikan faktor yang mempengaruhi jalannya proses pembiasaan membaca Al-Qur’an juz 30 berlangsung pada kelas 3 di MI Hidayatus Shibyan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan teknik triangulasi untuk menguji keabsahan data. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Guru tahsin dan beberapa siswa kelas 3 di MI Hidayatus Shibyan Talun.Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Upaya pembiasaan membaca Al-Qur’an juz 30 dikelas 3 ini dilakukan 30 menit sebelum jam pembelajaran dimulai, dengan menggunakan metode Drill dan menyimak (2) Upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru tahsin dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa kelas 3 dalam membaca Al-Qur’an yaitu dengan menerapkan pembiasaan membaca Al-qur’an juz 30 (3) Ada beberapa factor yang dapat mempengaruhi jalannya pembiasaan membaca al-qur’an juz 30, namun faktor yang lebih menonjol yaitu Dari factor internal siswa, seperti kesungguhan siswa dan rasa malas pada diri siswa. Kata Kunci: Upaya Guru Tahsin, Pembiasaan Membaca Al-Qur’an Juz 30

Abstract

This study addresses emotion detection challenges in tweets, focusing on contextual understanding and class imbalance. A novel hybrid deep learning architecture combining GRU-BiLSTM with SMOTE is proposed to enhance classification performance on an Israel-Palestine conflict dataset. The dataset contains 40,000 tweets labeled with six emotions: anger, disgust, fear, joy, sadness, and surprise. SMOTE effectively balances the dataset, improving model fairness in detecting minority classes. Experimental results show that the GRU-BiLSTM hybrid with an 80:20 data split achieves the highest accuracy of 89%, surpassing BiLSTM alone, which obtained 88%, and other state-of-the-art models. Notably, the proposed model delivers significant improvement in detecting the emotion of joy (recall: 0.87, F1-score: 0.86). In contrast, the surprise category remains challenging (recall: 0.24). Compared to existing research, this study highlights the effectiveness of combining SMOTE and hybrid GRU-BiLSTM, outperforming models such as CNN, GRU, and LSTM on similar datasets. The incorporation of GloVe embeddings enhances contextual word representations, enabling nuanced emotion detection even in sarcastic or ambiguous texts. The novelty lies in addressing class imbalance systematically with SMOTE and leveraging GRU-BiLSTM's complementary strengths, yielding superior performance metrics. This approach contributes to advancing emotion detection tasks, especially in conflict-related social media data, by offering a robust, context-sensitive, and balanced classification method.

Abstract

Education has been recognised as a fundamental part of local, national and international efforts to bring about environmental sustainability. However, some schools are confused to integrate it in school program and to raise students awareness towards the environmental issues. The purpose of this study is to explore the integration of ecological education (Eco-Edu) in English Language Teaching (ELT) materials and its role in promoting students’ critical thinking and sustainable behaviour. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. For triangulation data, the researchers combined qualitative data from interviews and quantitative data from questionnaires. The respondents of this study were teachers from five different schools which have integrated the ecological theme in ELT materials. Five informants from five schools were interviewed extensively to collect qualitative data. The interviews were analyzed through thematic analysis using ChatGPT application tools. The findings of this study indicated that teachers were able to integrate the environmental education by applying various ecological themes in ELT materials which could promote the students’ critical thinking and raise their sustainable behavior. Teachers noted that students became more proactive in environmental initiatives, such as waste management and tree planting, reflecting a greater awareness of ecological concerns. Moreover, the study highlighted the importance of institutional support and teacher preparedness in successfully implementing Eco-Edu. Ultimately, the integration of Eco-Edu in ELT not only improved language skills but also cultivated a sense of responsibility toward the environment, equipping students with the knowledge and motivation to address global ecological challenges.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the prediction of librarian interest in joining a library organization. Using survey data and interviews with librarians that produced 130 test data then divided into two groups of data, namely "interested" and "not interested". Using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) models as a comparison of the performance of the two algorithms in classifying librarian interests. The results of the test data were then evaluated using a confusion matrix to assess the accuracy, precision, and recall of each model. The results of the interest predictions tested showed that the use of the SVM model was more consistent in classifying librarian interests with high accuracy, although there were some errors in the "Not Interested" category. While the results of interest predictions using the KNN model tended to dominate the prediction of the "Interested" category, there were more errors in identifying the "Not Interested" category. Both models show their respective advantages and disadvantages in classifying librarian interest predictions. From the results of this study, it can be a picture and insight into the effectiveness of using the two models in classifying librarian interest predictions in joining a library organization and as a guide in choosing the right algorithm in similar research.

Abstract

The semantic interpretation of the term al-fitnah in the Qur’an reveals a complex spectrum of meanings, often reduced in common discourse to mere defamation or slander. This study aims to explore the multidimensional meanings of al-fitnah through the lens of Fathul Qadir, a classical tafsir by Imam al-Shawkani, using the al-wujûh wa al-nazhâ’ir approach—a linguistic methodology that categorizes polysemous terms based on contextual usage in different verses. Employing a qualitative library research design combined with thematic exegesis, the study maps the occurrences and meanings of al-fitnah across 60 instances in 58 surahs. The findings reveal a wide range of meanings including trial, punishment, disbelief, misguidance, chaos, deceit, and sin. The analysis highlights al-Shawkani’s nuanced interpretive strategy and its relevance to contemporary socio-religious discourses. The study contributes to Qur’anic hermeneutics by integrating a classical linguistic framework with modern contextual readings, thereby enriching thematic interpretations of key Qur’anic terms. Abstrak: Pemaknaan kata al-fitnah dalam Al-Qur’an menunjukkan keragaman semantik yang kompleks, yang seringkali tidak terjangkau oleh pemahaman umum masyarakat yang cenderung menyempitkannya hanya pada konteks pencemaran nama baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna kata al-fitnah dalam Al-Qur’an melalui tafsir Fathul Qadir karya Imam Asy-Syaukani dengan pendekatan al-wujûh wa al-nazhâ’ir, suatu pendekatan linguistik-klasik dalam studi tafsir yang memetakan ragam makna lafaz musytarak berdasarkan konteks ayat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dan tafsir tematik (maudhu‘i), yang kemudian dikontekstualisasikan melalui klasifikasi makna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kata al-fitnah ditemukan sebanyak 60 kali dalam 58 surah, dengan makna yang beragam seperti ujian, adzab, kekufuran, kesesatan, kekacauan, hingga tipu daya dan dosa. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan Asy-Syaukani dalam tafsirnya menunjukkan kehati-hatian semantik dan sensitivitas kontekstual yang khas, serta membuka ruang refleksi teologis atas berbagai bentuk “fitnah” dalam dinamika sosial-keagamaan kontemporer. Kontribusi utama studi ini terletak pada integrasi pendekatan al-wujûh wa al-nazhâ’ir dengan tafsir klasik, sehingga memperluas horizon kajian linguistik-tematik dalam studi Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

This study analyzes jurisprudence in divorce cases, especially in two important decisions, namely Number 235/Pdt.G/2018/PTA. Sby and Number 0136/Pdt.G/2018/PA. Mto. Using a qualitative approach and normative legal analysis, this study examines the background of the case, the trial process, and the judge's legal considerations in divorce decisions. The main focus is the application of the principles of justice and the values of Islamic law. The results of the study show that persistent disputes between husband and wife are used as a legal basis for divorce, by referring to Law No. 1 of 1974, Government Regulation No. 9 of 1975, and the Compilation of Islamic Law. This decision reflects a balance between legal, social, and religious aspects, and considers the psychological impact and well-being of children. This research emphasizes the importance of jurisprudence in interpreting Islamic law and the flexibility of Islamic law in dealing with social dynamics. Her contribution to the development of Islamic family law in Indonesia is expected to be a reference for academics, legal practitioners, and policymakers in improving the quality of resolving divorce cases in the future

Abstract

Regional disparities often pose significant challenges, with some areas experiencing rapid economic growth while others lag behind. An essential macro benchmark to gauge the success of development initiatives is economic growth, as indicated by changes in a region's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Using GRDP at constant prices (GRDP CP) helps eliminate the impact of price fluctuations, focusing on real increases in production activities. Expenditure GRDP reflects the value of goods and services produced within a region and consumed by the community. In the case of West Sumatra, the GRDP CP expenditure data reveals simultaneous seasonal and trend elements. The seasonal pattern, occurring quarterly each year, exhibits an additive seasonal effect. The Additive Holt-Winters method has been proven effective for data containing seasonal patterns with constant seasonal variation (additive) and linear trends, where the level, trend, and seasonal pattern can change. The data used is secondary data of GRDP CP of expenditure quarterly of West Sumatra in 2010 - 2022 obtained from the official website of the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics. According to research findings, the GRDP CP expenditure with a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value of 1.03% for quarter I to quarter IV in 2023 are Rp46,284,010.59, Rp46,472,223.99, Rp47,512,197.79, and Rp48,445,184.94, respectively. This suggests that the model equation performs exceptionally well predicting future economic trends.

Abstract

Status gizi yang baik sangat penting bagi kesehatan mahasiswa, terutama dalam mendukung aktivitas fisik dan akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap mengenai 4 pilar gizi seimbang dengan status gizi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional, sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 50 orang mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Bima yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi, Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner untuk menilai pengetahuan dan sikap, serta pengukuran Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) untuk menentukan status gizi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan tentang 4 pilar gizi seimbang yang baik dengan status gizi normal yaitu sebesar 36%, artinya semakin baik pengetahuan maka semakin baik status gizi, sementara sikap tentang 4 pilar gizi seimbangan yang positif dengan status gizi normal yaitu sebesar 28%, artinya semakin positif sikap terhadap 4 pilar gizi seimbang maka semakin baik status gizi.
