Abstract

The ritual of sacrificing animals known as Qurban is one of the most prominent worships in Islam. Nevertheless, on account of the highly criteria of qurban’s animals, the price of animals often very excessive. Hence, qurban is considered as an expensive kind of worship for many Indonesian Muslims, to be specific, for the middle to low economic class of Muslims. Whereas in fiqh literature, there is an opinion that it is permissible to perform sacrifice with jadza‘ah sheep whose price is more affordable. Unfortunately, this opinion is not well known among the Indonesian Muslim community. This article will analyze the hadith of qurban with jadza‘ah sheep in the perspective of fiqh al-taysîr. This article is considered as qualitative research that use literature references that are relevant to the theme. The methods of research are content analysis and descriptive-analytical method. Fiqh al-taysîr emphasizes a notion that are easier for Muslims to implement. In its implementation, fiqh al-taysîr considers these matters; a more moderate aspect, emergency factor, easier opinion, being careful in deciding between obligatory and sunnah, free from mahdzab fanaticism, facilitating things that cannot or might be difficult to avoid, taking into maqâṣid syarî'ah consideration and applying the rules: changes in fatwas due to the change of times, places, conditions, and habits. In the context of the criteria for jadza‘ah sheep as an alternate animal for Qurban, the concept of fiqh al-taysîr takes the opinion of ulemas who state that jadza‘ah sheep are sheep that are perfectly six months old and the price is relatively affordable in price, thus they are easier to practice by the Muslim community of the middle to lower economic class.

Abstract

This paper examines the epistemology of hadith, namely the orientation and background of the arrangement of the "chapters" in the Kutub Sittah. More specifically, this paper is directed at answering questions: 1) what is the background and orientation of the Kutub Sittah chapters arranged, and 2) how is the order of the books/chapters arranged? Through the descriptive analysis method, this study concludes; 1) the chapters in the Kutub Sittah were compiled by the compilers to serve as a guide for Muslims in following the sunnah of the Prophet, and to make it easier for them to obtain answers to their problems based on the sunnah of the Prophet; 2) The Kutub Sittah compiles its hadiths based on fiqh chapters so that the naming of Sunan in the works of Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i, and Ibn Majah is very fitting. The work of al-Bukhari and Muslim is called Jami' because there is the addition of a special discussion, namely the chapters of faith, knowledge, fadhilah, tafsir, and manaqib.

Abstract

The research examines the transcending paradigm as a crucial intellectual approach, with scholars like Seyyed Hossein Nasr, Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, and Ismail Raji al-Faruqi proposing a synthesis of Islamic spiritual principles with modern scientific inquiry. This paradigm aims to bridge the gap between science and spirituality, advocating for a unified model that respects Islamic metaphysical traditions while embracing empirical scientific advancements. Through a systematic comparative and analytical approach, the research thoroughly examines and critiques the philosophical foundations and theoretical frameworks presented by Nasr, al-Attas, and al-Faruqi. This study's synthesis of these scholars' perspectives makes it unique, providing insights into their efforts to move beyond traditional academic paradigms. Their contributions argue for a coherent framework harmonizing divine unity and cosmic understanding. They assert that true knowledge encompasses both the material and the transcendent, offering a holistic and spiritually enriched scientific perspective. This article contributes to enhancing the Islamic intellectual tradition by presenting a model deeply rooted in cultural values and responsive to the complexities of the modern scientific era.

Abstract

Proclaiming inclusive Islam requires a good narrative so that the values of Islamic inclusiveness can be conveyed on target. This article investigates the influence of multiple intelligence on an individual's capacity to build a counter-radical narrative. Using the theoretical framework of Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligence, this research considers how multiple intelligence such as verbal-linguistic intelligence, logistic-mathematical intelligence, visual-spatial intelligence, and musical intelligence, kinesthetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, naturalist intelligence, and existential intelligence influence an individual's ability to design narratives that are contrary to radical ideology. The research methods used include surveys and analysis of respondents with a variety of multiple intelligences to reveal the role and impact of these intelligences on their ability to build a counter-radicalism narrative. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence of multiple intelligences on individual capacity in building counter-radicalism narratives, as well as the importance of developing multiple intelligences in approaches to preventing radicalism.
