Abstract

Object detection and counting in video surveillance is a crucial task with various applications, yet it faces significant challenges due to dynamic environmental conditions such as varying illumination, occlusions, and noise. This research evaluates and compares the performance of two prominent background subtraction techniques: Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) and Fuzzy Logic, for moving object segmentation and counting. The methodology involves image preprocessing (grayscale conversion, Gaussian blur, normalization), background model generation using the median of initial frames, object segmentation with both GMM and Fuzzy Logic enhanced by Region of Interest (ROI) and morphological operations, and object tracking using a simple Centroid Tracker. Performance was evaluated using segmentation metrics (Precision, Recall, F1-score, Percentage of Wrong Classifications (PWC)) and counting accuracy metrics (Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Accuracy). Results indicate that GMM achieved a slightly better F1-score (0.23 vs 0.18) for segmentation, while Fuzzy Logic demonstrated marginally higher Precision (0.37 vs 0.33). For object counting, both methods yielded an identical average MAE of 0.94, with Fuzzy Logic showing a slightly higher average accuracy (9.88% vs 9.41%). The study highlights that both GMM and Fuzzy Logic are viable for moving object detection and counting, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses, but performance remains sensitive to dynamic scene conditions. The dataset utilized, CDnet's "night videos" category, specifically the "busyBoulvard" sequence, presented unique challenges due to low light and dense traffic, which were central to the evaluation.

Abstract

From the research that has been carried out regarding Android-based Augmented Reality Technology for Learning Media for the Classification of Marine Animals, the conclusion is, the creation of an Augmented Reality application that studies the classification of marine animals which can operate on an Android smartphone. Using 3D objects it can be visualized so that it can be like real on mobile devices when the camera detects markers with rough architecture such as floors, tables and others, with distances when tracking scan markers, namely 10cm, 20cm and 30cm. The better the lighting in a room, the faster the marker will be recognized, and conversely, when the marker is in a state where there is a lack of room light, the system cannot detect the marker.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of learning Hijaiyah letters for Muslims, as these are the basic letters for reading the Quran. To enhance children's ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters, the author attempts to use learning strategies through interactive media for children. The problems addressed in this study are how to develop children's interest in learning Hijaiyah letters using 2D-based interactive media and how the interest in learning Hijaiyah letters is influenced by using 2D-based interactive media. This study aims to determine the extent to which the development of interest in learning Hijaiyah letters in children is achieved using 2D-based interactive media. The results of this study show that the average results of children in learning Hijaiyah letters with the help of interactive media received very good responses in each choice. Thirty-six respondents answered "strongly agree," 37 answered "agree," 19 answered "disagree," and 30 answered "strongly disagree." According to the Likert scale calculation, the percentage of children's learning interest using interactive media applications obtained a percentage of 67.29%, which falls into the "agree" category.

Abstract

Disiplin merupakan kepatuhan untuk menghormati dan melaksanakan suatu peraturan yang mengharuskan orang untuk menaati kepada peraturan yang berlaku. Dengan adanya disiplin segala kewajiban dilaksanakan dengan tertib dan teratur. Berdasarkan latar belakang permasalahan disiplin peserta didik di MTs Babul Hikmah Kalianda, baik di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas, masih ada peserta didik yang datang terlambat ke sekolah, tidak memakai kaos kaki/sepatu ke sekolah, memakai seragam tidak rapih, dan membuang sampah sembarangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Metode Pembinaan Kedispilinan Peserta Didik Kelas VIII Di MTs Babul Hikmah Kalianda Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu Kepala Sekolah, Guru Akidah Akhlak dan Peserta didik, Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan alat analisisnya adalah dengan menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Metode Pembinaan Kedisiplinan Peserta didik Kelas 8 Oleh Guru Akidah Akhlak di MTs Babul Hikmah adalah Tauladan, Nasihat, Hukuman, Pembiasaan dan Perhatian khusus.

Abstract

Attendance is one of the important performance assessments. Absenteeism carried out by each employee can affect every employee throughout the agency. The Bengkulu City Public Works Department wants to carry out reforms. The attendance system for each employee uses digital-based attendance. The attendance system developed in this research is based on mobile technology. The aim of this research is to enable employees to take attendance via their mobile devices with mobile features to ensure attendance is taken at the right location. Test results show that this system has succeeded in increasing the efficiency of the attendance process, reducing recording errors, and enabling real-time monitoring of attendance by the office admin. Thus, it is hoped that the development of a mobile-based digital attendance system can be an effective solution in managing employee attendance more efficiently and accurately.
