Abstract

Awalnya macrame kebanyakan menggunakan rotan, namun seiring waktu hingga kini telah banyak pengrajin menggunakan berbagai jenis tali untuk kerajinan macrame. Pada observasi yang penulis lakukan telah banyak produk macrame pada tempat-tempat pusat kerajinan souvenir namun belum ada ditemukan tas macrame model modern dan kekinian dengan warna khas Batak Toba. Penciptaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses penciptaan macrame dalam bentuk tas tangan dan untuk mengetahui hasil karya macrame dalam bentuk tas tangan dengan warna khas Batak Toba. Metode yang digunakan pada penciptaan karya ini ada tiga tahapan yaitu: eksplorasi, perancangan dan perwujudan. Pada penciptaan ini teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penciptaan karya berbentuk tiga dimensi yang memiliki berbagai macam ukuran dan bentuk. Pada penciptaan karya ini menggunakan tali katun sebagai bahan dasar dengan karya yang dibuat sebanyak 10 karya tas macrame perpaduan warna khas Batak Toba yaitu merah, hitam dan putih.

Abstract

Berastagi is a popular tourist town in North Sumatra that introduces the Gundaling tourism site. However, the town remains relatively unknown to the wider public due to a lack of information and digital promotion. This study aims to create a tourism promotion video for the Gundaling destination in Berastagi, using vintage effects as a key component to create visual and emotional appeal for the audience. The use of vintage effects, such as vintage filters, soft color gradation, and classic lighting, creates a nostalgic atmosphere that can attract visitors and present Gundaling as a tourist destination offering historical and cultural value in addition to its natural beauty. The video production follows the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method, resulting in 12 promotional video pieces. The use of vintage effects in these promotional videos successfully enhances emotional appeal, strengthens Gundaling's visual identity, and broadens audience reach. It is hoped that this promotional video will help make Gundaling stand out among other tourist destinations by enhancing visual appeal and the overall visitor experience.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of optimal learning activities and processes in developing students' spatial visual intelligence rationally and logically to create painting art in the UNIMED Fine Arts Education study program. This research aims to improve visual spatial intelligence and the quality of student paintings through the development of an ecology-based painting learning model. This development research uses the 4D model (defining, designing, developing, and disseminating). Based on the results of the study, it is known that; the design of the ecological wisdom-based painting learning model is based on an ecopedagogical learning approach. The design of this ecological wisdom-based painting learning model concretely adapts the syntax of the ELM Eco EA learning model and the free expression learning method. The adaptation of the ELM Eco EA learning model and free expression learning method is the basis for the design of the developed ecology-based painting learning model. The syntax and learning steps of these models and methods were reconstructed to produce a more contextualized hypothetical painting learning model design consisting of several steps, namely; 1) Preparation; 2) Providing Stimulus; 3) Investigation; 4) Determination of Theme; 5) Preparation of Tools and Materials; 6) Implementation; 7) Evaluation. After the developed learning model has met the eligibility criteria, overall the results of the data analysis of this trial are effective, this can be seen from the criteria for achieving classical completeness, achieving learning objectives, and student responses in accordance with the criteria specified in the learning and material studied.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memegang peranan penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi Indonesia, dengan kontribusi signifikan terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) dan penyerapan tenaga kerja. UMKM Fahmi Ummi, yang bergerak di bidang makanan dan minuman olahan, merupakan salah satu pelaku usaha potensial yang menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan daya saing di pasar. Dua kendala utama yang dihadapi adalah desain kemasan yang belum optimal dan belum diterapkannya standarisasi halal secara menyeluruh. Kemasan yang kurang menarik dan tidak mencerminkan identitas produk melemahkan daya tarik di pasar, sementara ketiadaan sertifikasi halal menghambat perluasan pasar, terutama ke konsumen Muslim dan pasar internasional. Untuk itu, pendampingan dalam optimalisasi desain kemasan dan implementasi sertifikasi halal menjadi langkah strategis yang diperlukan. Upaya ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas, daya saing, serta kepercayaan konsumen terhadap produk UMKM Fahmi Ummi, sehingga mendorong pertumbuhan usaha secara berkelanjutan di tingkat nasional maupun global.

Abstract

This research is triggered by the low drawing skills of new students in the Department of Fine Arts Education at Unimed. Therefore, this study aims to develop a guided demonstration learning method with differentiation strategy in the Fine Arts Education Program. The approach used in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the 4-D development model consisting of four main stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Data collection is carried out through questionnaire filling, observation, interviews, and sketch drawing assignments. Furthermore, samples are taken using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis is conducted using descriptive statistical analysis method with Likert scale. The research findings show that the average score of students' sketch drawing ability reaches 71.42%, categorized as "good" according to the sketch drawing assessment standards. Additionally, validation results by instructional design experts indicate that the guided demonstration learning method is "highly feasible" with a percentage of 88.63%. Therefore, it is concluded that this guided demonstration learning method with differentiation strategy is valid and suitable for enhancing students' sketch drawing abilities in the Fine Arts Education Program at Unimed, Class of 2022.Keywords: guided demonstration, differentiation strategies, sketchesAbstrakPenelitian ini dipicu oleh rendahnya kemampuan mahasiswa baru dalam menggambar sketsa di Jurusan Pendidikan Seni Rupa Unimed. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi terarah dengan strategi diferensiasi di Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Rupa. Pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Research and Development (R&D), dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari empat tahap utama: pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan(develop), dan penyebaran(disseminate). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengisian angket, observasi, wawancara, dan tes penugasan menggambar sketsa. Selanjutnya, sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji coba kemampuan menggambar sketsa mahasiswa mencapai nilai rata-rata 71,42%, dengan kategori "baik" dalam standar penilaian menggambar sketsa. Selain itu, hasil validasi oleh ahli desain pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran demonstrasi terarah "sangat layak" dengan presentase 88,63%. Abstract

The general aim of this research is to create a new design and apply it to typical Medan City souvenirs on T-shirts which are starting to be difficult to find. So that tourists who visit Medan can get a more interesting and varied variety of souvenirs, it will also support tourism in the city of Medan as well as become a reference for designers who want to develop a clothing business with characteristics typical of the city of Medan. The method used is a qualitative method, with a design thinking method approach consisting of the empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test stages. The results of the research are t-shirts as souvenirs, as a form of creativity that elevates the iconic shape of the city of Medan. Add value to souvenirs in the form of t-shirts that previously existed and add aesthetic value to t-shirt designs with Medan icons. Adding a variety of souvenir items to tourist destinations in the city of Medan.
