Abstract

The development of technology and information is significant, triggering competition between a media to seize its position. One of them is radio media. In the current era of media convergence, radio which is considered a traditional media must survive in the midst of online media convergence to maintain its existence as well as expand its audience and get advertisements. This happened at Bintang Tenggara Radio 95.6 FM, which is considered to have implemented the practice of online media convergence. This research is a qualitative descriptive study to describe the strategy of Radio Bintang Tenggara 95.6 FM through the Friday Blessing Program in maintaining its existence in the midst of online media convergence. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out using observations, interviews, and documentation owned by Radio Bintang Tenggara and then described the subject under study. The results of this study show that Radio Bintang Tenggara 95.6 FM Banyuwangi has strategies according to Susan Tyler Easmant's theory, including conformity strategies, habit formation strategies, listener flow control strategies, program storage strategies and mass attracting strategies. This strategy is used to maintain the existence of Radio Bintang Tenggara 95.6 FM through the Friday Blessing Program amidst the convergence of online media.

Abstract

Abstract The 2024 general election involved three candidates—a couple of presidential candidates and vice presidents. They're struggling to win the number one seat in the Republic. Each one of them uses the best political strategy to gain the people's sympathy. One of them is Prabowo Subianto, a presidential candidate who has "sustained" for three consecutive elections and has not even emerged as a winner. The study aims to understand Prabowo Subianto's political communication strategy as a presidential candidate to gain the support of the Santri and Kiai Pondok Pesantren as one of the national voices. This research uses Robert M. Entman's framing analysis with a library approach, i.e., online media, as an object of research carried out in the period prior to the campaign period until the campaign was completed. The results of the research show that Prabowo's political communication strategy for gaining the support of Kiai and the hostel centers is using three patterns of imagery. First, pure publicity, namely, Prabowo, popularized itself with a number of supporters and won the Gibran couple. Second, Free Ride Publicity (Prabowo) visited the Pondok Pesantren and was named Santri Indonesian friend by the Santri and Kiai. Third, Paid Publicity called on the media to cover and broadcast the declaration of Gibran's couple at the same time as the perpetual fund campaign. Abstract

Persuasive communication is a communication process that aims to influence, convince, or persuade others to do or believe something. The ultimate goal is to influence the attitudes, beliefs, or behaviors of the target audience. In persuasive communication, the sender of the message uses various strategies, such as logic, emotion, authority, or concrete evidence, to build a strong and convincing argument. The purpose of this study is persuasive communication as a teacher teaching technique in overcoming student misconceptions at RA Al-Badri Jember. The research method used is qualitative descriptive by taking objects at RA Al-Badri Teachers as data to see teacher interactions with students in overcoming misconceptions that occur. The results of this study are misconceptions that often occur in students in reading, writing, and arithmetic, where the teacher in overcoming cannot be separated from the concept of self, mind and society, the teacher brings the concept of himself by emphasizing the same background or the same fate as the students. In the process of persuasive communication, teachers apply persuasive communication techniques to overcome students' misconceptions in the teaching and learning process. The techniques used are association, integration, rewards and settings.

Abstract

The Ustadz Hannan Attaki Bai'at controversy by Kiai Marzuki was chosen as the focus of research because it attracted public attention and gave rise to various points of view. Bai'at was carried out on the sidelines of predecessor's birthday. Ahmad Noer, KH. Mustamar and KH. Murtadho Amin at the Sabilurrosyad Malang Islamic Boarding School generally contained five points. These include the oath of allegiance to the Republic of Indonesia and Nahdlatul Ulama. This research aims to analyze the news about the Bai'at controversy of Ustadz Hannan Attaki, who Kiai Marzuki guided at NU.Online. Through a media framing analysis approach, this research seeks to understand how the media builds issue representation and problem-solving in the context of this controversial Bai'at. The research method used is qualitative with content analysis. The analysis results show that media framing in coverage of the Bai'at Ustadz Hannan Attaki controversy by Kiai Marzuki tends to influence public understanding. At the problem definition stage, news articles tend to adopt a particular viewpoint that shapes the public's perception of Bai'at. In the problemsolving stage, news articles also offer recommendations and implications, which may influence the public's view of the controversy. This research contributes to understanding the role of the media in shaping public perceptions of controversial religious issues. The implications of this research can be used as a reference for a better understanding of media framing in a religious context and the importance of framing analysis in capturing issue representation and problemsolving in coverage.

Abstract

This article provides affirmation or perhaps just an option in understanding the development of society today, some people call it a society of the era now that is identified with the informative society. It was acknowledged that the development of communication technology led to the use of social media that was quite massive, so that this technology was able to bring about the development of positive community actions and could accelerate the development of changes. However, some people understand that the development of this technology actually also brought the public to use social media to be alienated to him. No wonder the political style, social style, culture, and even various patterns show a more contemporary style. On this basis, this article provides an alternative to understanding critically the development of society nowadays which is identified as an information society. Is Jean Baudrillard, a post-structuralism thinker who first mentioned the existence of virtual possibilities in social media. So that the thoughts about Simulacra and Simulation that have been presented, are intended to be able to parse critically about the development of today's society.

Abstract

Journalism pesantren could be an alternative movements and cultural that appears in various media to strengthen civil society besides becoming chan-nel activity to spreading ideas and progam-progam pesantren. So can strengthen that alternative media can emerge as answer of maistream culture domination that a bore which is that long considered to have been dictating criteria of culture, moral, and value in society. Media messages from among santri this not only function as voice of ideology his movement, but also invited by readers to act. Although on the other hand the media always perceived as the implement is powerfuland there are the dominant ideology in it. As was supported by Gramsci that hegemony is an effort power lasting done by the group in power. In this case, institutions media give a function hegemony that is continuous producing a cohesive that ideology. Writing it tries to can parse about pesantren journalism as a alternatives medium is a form of resistance people santri to hegemony of the contents of mass media.

Abstract

This article positions the "Muslimah Media Center" (MMC) as the Islamic digital preaching activities. This religious community media identifies itself as an Islamic platform with a commitment to propagating Islamic values. It actively presents content analyzing various Islamic issues and often campaigns for Islam as a practical and effective solution to every problem. The portrayal of religious reality presented in the digital space plays a significant role in shaping the image of Islam in the virtual world. Hence, there is a need for an investigation into digital preaching activism that shapes the image of Islam, employing a Critical Public Relations (PR) perspective. The objective is to provide a critical and explorative explanation to understand how Islamic performance is showcased through the Muslimah Media Center. This study uses virtual ethnography as its method, as the data collected is sourced from digital traces and artifacts. Consequently, it can be concluded that the image of Islam generated by this digital preaching activism not only reinforces religious beliefs but also disseminates certain ideologies that are assumed to be in contrast with other religious ideologies.

Abstract

This article places cyber public relations as a perspective in understanding organizational communication activities carried out by the Sidomulyo village government, by utilizing internet technology tools and cyber media as a new space in the context of establishing the "tourism village" branding. In practice, this cyber-based organizational communication displays a lot of content describing the potential of the Sidomulyo rural area as an offer of communication content, and is considered attractive for boosting village tourism. This digital-based communication activity also explores many other potentials, both potential in the economic, social and cultural fields. As a public relations function, this digital communication activity is believed to accelerate efforts to build a brand, maintain trust, understanding, and the image of Sidomulyo Village to the public/wide audience. This article with a virtual ethnographic approach aims to be able to explore the phenomenon of organizational communication that is being carried out by the Sidomulyo village government. So it can be understood that village communication activities carried out using cyber media devices are part of cyber public relations in an effort to establish branding as a "tourist village". While branding as a tourism village is needed by the Sidomulyo village government, it should also be in order to maintain trust, understanding, and the image of Sidomulyo village to the public/wide audience.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an berperan sebagai panduan hidup bagi seluruh umat pada umumnya dan islam pada khususnya. Meski Al-Qur'an tidak berubah, penafsirannya yang terus berkembang dari generasi ke generasi berikutnya. Oleh sebab itu, Al-Qur'an mampu memberikan jawaban atas berbagai permasalahan yang ada. Sebagai solusi bagi masyarakat, Al-qur’an tetap relevan sepanjang waktu. Hal ini yang kemudian menjadi bukti kuat bahwa Al-Qur'an sebagai mukjizat terbesar yang diberikan Allah SWT kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW. Untuk menjawab beragam permasalahan yang timbul di masyarakat, berbagai model penafsiran muncul sesuai dengan paradigma masing-masing penafsir. Salah satu tokoh mufassir terkenal, Fazlur Rahman, dikenal sebagai pencetus Double Movement Theory (Teori Pergerakan Ganda). Ia memiliki kecerdasan dan kemampuan yang luar biasa dalam mengkaji Al-Qur'an dengan pendekatan modern namun tetap berpegang pada syariat.

Abstract

This article discusses da'wah activism which is expressed in the midst of the convergence of digital media as a religious phenomenon. Da'wah activism is part of a religious activity that is an obligation for a Muslim, however, the display of da'wah messages expressed in the midst of the convergence of digital media does not only show it as a religious activity, but in appearance it also has the opportunity as a tool for political and ideological interests. In fact, Islam wants the da'wah to be carried out in the context of calling for goodness and preventing evil as the teachings of Islam. The method used in this study is to use a virtual ethnographic approach that focuses on artifacts, and digital traces related to da'wah messages displayed through cyber media. Furthermore, in order to understand religious phenomena that are expressed in the digital space, this study uses the concept of da'wah and cyber media as a choice of perspective, the aim is to be able to answer the question of how cyber da'wah activism is carried out by religious communities in the midst of digital media convergence. So it can be concluded that cyber da'wah activism, in addition to calling for good and preventing evil, turns out to be in its display of da'wah also depicts other interests such as political and ideological interests hidden behind da'wah messages displayed through digital media.Keywords : Da'wah Activism, Convergence, Digital Media
