Abstract

Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas musik terapi untuk meningkatkan kualitas tidur. Penelitian ini menggunakan meta analisis melalui analisis empat belas kajian literatur penelitian international dengan melibatkan 720 partisipan. Berdasarkan pengolahan data telah didapatkan nilai rata-rata (mean), Standar Deviasi, dan nilai n, dapat diketahui hasil effect size hedges’ g yang diperoleh dari random effect model = 0.89 (95% Cl = 0.224 sampai dengan 1.549, dan nilai p-value = 0.008723) dengan nilai I² (inconsistency) = 93.89% . Berdasarkan hasil meta analisis dapat mengindikasikan bahwa pemberian musik terapi merupakan salah satu teknik pemberian intervensi yang efektif, hal tersebut karena memiliki efektivitas yang tinggi untuk intervensi pada meningkatkan kualitas tidurKata kunci:    Terapi Musik, Kualitas Tidur

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic can have a negative impact on the psychological condition of the basketball athlete community from this service activity. The purpose of the service program in the form of psychoeducation to the basketball athlete community is to increase self-esteem and coping self-efficacy. Coping self-efficacy describes a person's ability to perform certain behaviors successfully with the expected results. Self-esteem is a global evaluation of an individual's thoughts and feelings, and evaluations can be positive or negative. The partner groups in this training are four students who are members of the women's basketball group in Samarinda, with an age range of 15-17 years. The training materials are tailored to the needs of the partner community which is explored through needs analysis. The training is carried out online via Zoom in small groups of 4 people. Measurement of the process and results of service activities is carried out through questionnaires, observations, and online interviews. The results of the service showed an increase in self-esteem scores and coping self-efficacy in the partner group. From this training, service partners gain a new and more positive understanding of coping self-efficacy, self-esteem, and its aspects. Partner groups are able to apply the material that has been given in real life as basketball athletes.

Abstract

Sleep constitutes a basic need that determines human physical and psychological health, which makes identifying and examining factors that contribute to the improvement of sleep quality an important research step. To this end, this research aimed to empirically test how much music therapy has a significant effect on improving sleep quality. Using meta-analysis, we collected data from 14 international research literature reviews that involved 720 participants in total. Data were analyzed based on the mean (M), standard deviation (SD), and the number of participants (n). The results revealed the effectiveness of music therapy in improving sleep quality, as can be seen on the effect size hedges' g of 0.89 obtained from the random-effects model with an I² (inconsistency) value of 94%. What can be derived from this finding is that music therapy is an effective intervention technique to improve sleep quality.Tidur merupakan kebutuhan dasar yang menentukan kesehatan fisik maupun psikologis manusia, yang membuat identifikasi dan pengujian faktor-faktor yang bisa meningkat kualitasnya menjadi langkah penelitian yang penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji sejauh mana musik terapi berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas tidur. Menggunakan meta analisis, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data berupa 14 kajian literatur yang dipublikasikan di jurnal international yang secara keseluruhan melibatkan 720 partisipan. Data dianalisis atas dasar nilai rata-rata (M), deviasi standar (SD), dan jumlah partisipan (n). Hasil menunjukkan efektivitas terapi musik dalam meningkatkan kualitas tidur, sebagaimana bisa diketahui atas dasar effect size hedges’ g yang diperoleh dari random effect model sebesar 0.89  dengan nilai I² (inconsistency) sebesar 94%. Pemberian musik terapi dengan demikian merupakan salah satu teknik intervensi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas tidur.
