Abstract

The research that has been conducted is aimed to develop disaster risk instruments for children under five. So that can do disaster mitigation, reduce the risk of disaster in children under five, through awareness based on community empowerment.Variables that have been shown to affect disaster risk: the level of threat, vulnerability, and community capacity. These three factors need to be developed specifically in order to be used to assess the level of disaster risks for toddlers. Development of the instrument has been done through 4 stages: 1) conducted preliminary study 2) developed the instrument, 3) conducted data analysis and 4) given the recommendation of the research results. Of the 32 items of disaster risk instrument items, 2 invalid items have been discarded. Of 30 valid instrument items, all significant values have been indicated> 0.700, all instrument items accepted. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of midwifery update training on increasing knowledge of midwives in midwifery services. The study design was a post-test only control group design. The population consisted of an experimental group of 41 people and a control group of 41 people. The experimental group had the midwifery update training in 2019, while the control group was midwives who had never attended midwifery update training in 2019. The experimental group and the control group were selected by using cluster sampling technique after that the sample selection used simple random sampling. Data analysis was used independent samples t -test. The mean knowledge results of the midwifery update group that had never attended midwifery update training was 55.11, while the mean knowledge results of the midwifery update group knowledge was 75.19. Based on the independent t-test, it was found that the t-count results were -8,987 with a p-value of 0.000 (

Abstract

This study discussed about the evaluation of massage influence on 3 to 5-months-old baby in Tawanganom, Magetan 2017. This research was analytical research by Quasy Experimental design in form of nonequivalent control group design with population of 20 babies who were massaged and not massaged. This study used sample of total population. Independent variable was massage for baby, while, dependent variable was baby’s weight by using ratio scale. The instrument of data collection used weight scale for baby in grams. Moreover, the statistical test that was used was independent sample T-Test. The results showed that the average of baby’s weight which the baby was massaged had a greater increase rather than non-massaged baby. The result of independent t-test was obtained p-value = 0.000 (<0.05). Thus, there was a significant influence of infant massage against baby’s weight gain of 3-5 months-old babies. Moreover, it could be concluded that there was a significant influence of infant massage against baby’s weight gain which the babies were 3-5 months old. Therefore, it was recommended for either families or mothers to massage their own baby, thus, their baby’s growth could be optimal. Keywords: Infant massage, Baby’s weight

Abstract

Nutritional status is a common problem for toddlers. Of the 129 toddlers there were 26 toddlers (20.2%) with underweight nutritional status, 102 toddlers (79.1%) with normal nutritional status and 1 toddler (0.7%) with very obese nutritional status in February 2019 in Randugede Village, Plaosan District. magnet. This study analysed the relationship between knowledge, income, education, parenting and nutrition status of children under five years of age. This kind of research is an analytical inquiry with a comprehensive approach. The research sample consisted of toddler and toddler mothers, all of whom accounted for 79 taken by simple random sampling. Data based on questionnaires and anthropometric measures of weight/size were compared to the z-score. Data analysis, both bivariate and multivariate. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the level of knowledge was p = 0.011, parents' income was p = 0.006, education level was p = 0.414, toddler's Dietary pattern  was p = 0.010, and parenting pattern was p = 0.003. The results of the study can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, income, dietary pattern, parenting and nutritional status of toddlers and there is no relationship between education and nutritional status of toddlers. Keywords: knowledge; income; education; Dietary pattern ary habits; parenting; nutritional status for toddler
