Abstract

This study aims to analyze the growth rate and effectiveness of general service levy revenue, the contribution of general service levies to local retribution, and the contribution of both general service levies and local retribution to the Local Revenue (PAD) of Mataram City from 2018 to 2022. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach. The analysis revealed that the growth rate of the general service levy in Mataram City between 2019 and 2022 showed positive growth, but the increase was minimal, with an average growth rate of only 13.86% (categorized as Unsuccessful). The effectiveness ratio of general service levy revenue from 2018-2022 averaged 61.53%, indicating a "Less Effective" performance. This suggests that the Mataram City Government has been largely unsuccessful in achieving its general service levy revenue targets. While general service levies have made a significant contribution to local retribution, with an average contribution of 85.26% (categorized as Very Good), their contribution to Mataram City's PAD is still inadequate, averaging only 4.39% (categorized as Very Lacking). Similarly, the contribution of local retribution to Mataram City's PAD remains insufficient, with an average contribution of 5.16% (categorized as Very Insufficient). Moving forward, it is recommended that the Mataram City Government implement both intensification and extensification policies to improve the collection of general service levies, thereby increasing their contribution to PAD. Future research should extend beyond a 5-year period to provide more comprehensive insights and clearer trends.

Abstract

This study analyzes the Financial Ratio of the West Lombok Regency Government's Regional Budget Revenue and Expenditure (APBD) from 2018 to 2022. Using a descriptive method, it aims to depict how financial ratios assess the government's financial performance. Results indicate that the regional independence ratio follows an instructive pattern. The effectiveness ratio is deemed ineffective, while the Efficiency Ratio over the last five years is efficient. The operating expenditure activity ratio meets good criteria. Assessing growth ratios, revenue and expenditure in West Lombok Regency have positively increased. Future recommendations include the government intensifying and extending current revenue sources to enhance independence. To boost effectiveness, realistic targets should be set based on the region's potential, preventing overestimation. The West Lombok Regency Government should optimize past growth and expenditure as a reference for future planning while striving to maintain and increase revenue and expenditure realizations annually.

Abstract

Economic growth is the process of a country's economic condition continuously moving towards a better condition over a certain period. Economic growth can also be interpreted as the process of increasing the production capacity of an economy which is realized in the form of an increase in national income. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of capital expenditure and investment on economic growth in West Nusa Tenggara Province. The method used in this research is the case study method and data collection in this research is by collecting information related to economic growth as seen from capital expenditure and investment. The research uses secondary data from 2012 to 2022 consisting of capital expenditure and investment data as well as economic growth. Data analysis techniques use the Multiple Linear Regression equation, t test, F test and coefficient of determination (R2). The research results show that capital expenditure has a positive but not significant effect on economic growth because it is based on the results of the regression with a tcount value smaller than ttable and a significance value greater than 0.05. The research results also show that investment has a positive and significant effect on economic growth. The coefficient of determination test results (R2) of 77.1% for capital expenditure and investment can explain economic growth and 22.9% is influenced by other variables not included in the research.
