Abstract

The research aim is to compare the level of efficiency between government-owned conventional commercial banks and privately owned conventional commercial banks. The samples are government-owned and privately owned conventional commercial banks registered in the period 2018 to 2022. The input variables used are deposits, labor costs and fixed assets; while output variables include total credit and operating income. Efficiency scores were analyzed using the data envelopment analysis method, and for the difference test the Mann-Whitney method was used. The results show that there is no significant difference in efficiency scores between government-owned conventional commercial banks and privately owned conventional commercial banks.

Abstract

This activity aims to evaluate the effectiveness of socialization and mentoring activities in managing Business Identification Numbers (NIB) in Singosari District, Malang, East Java. The main objective is to increase the understanding and awareness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) about the importance of business legality and NIB management procedures. This activity was carried out from January to March 2024 involving 20 MSMEs and led by lecturers from the Indonesian School of Economics, Surabaya. The method includes socialization and individual consultation sessions to provide practical information and direct guidance in managing NIB. Evaluation using a qualitative approach shows that socialization and mentoring activities are effective in increasing the understanding and confidence of MSMEs in managing NIB. Participants experienced an increase in knowledge about the benefits of NIB, such as access to financing and opportunities for participation in government programs. However, there are limitations in the accessibility and sustainability of the program. Suggestions for the future include expanding the reach of socialization, strengthening cooperation, and utilizing technology to support the sustainable growth of MSMEs in the region. This activity makes a positive contribution to supporting MSMEs in managing their businesses legally and sustainably in Singosari District.

Abstract

Entrepreneur is something that has an important role in improving the economy and especially the welfare of a person or group of people. The focus of someone's desire to become an entrepreneur is because of a motivation, both internal and external. This existing motivation has a role so that entrepreneurs can run the business according to expectations, this sustainability certainly needs to be supported not only in terms of soft skills but also hard skills that need to be provided. The purpose of this service is to provide training in increasing understanding regarding business ethics, so that activities or activities that are already running can be better due to understanding and practice in the form of following norms or rules related to business ethics. The implementation method used in this study: preparation or outreach, training and mentoring. The results of this study are that MSME actors can utilize and apply business ethics in improving business so that a goal can be achieved in the form of continuous prosperity and sustainability. Abstract

One of the important factors in the growth of a country's economy is investment. Sources of investment are divided into two, namely foreign investment and domestic investment. There are many benefits of foreign investment. These benefits are such as for development, employment, tax revenue, increasing foreign exchange, international trade, strengthening friendship with foreign countries and much more. The purpose of this research is to modeling of foreign investment in Indonesia using spatial regression. The predictor variables used are the number of labor and the net monthly salary. Based on the results of research analysis obtained information that the West Java province is the highest province to get investment funds from abroad. The highest net monthly salary in Indonesia is DKI Jakarta province. The highest number of labor in Indonesia is West Java Province. Based on the results of the Lagrange Multiplier test which showed a significant Lagrange Multiplier (lag) with a p-value < α = 5%. That's shows for the number of labor, the net monthly salary, and the foreign investment in Indonesia fulfill the spatial dependencies assumption. Based on the spatial regression model shows the number of labor, the net monthly salary, and the weighting has a significant impact on foreign investment in Indonesia.
