Abstract

Culinary is an important aspect of developing tourism destinations. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the support for food supply that are required to fulfill requirements to ensure consumer food safety by having a Home Industry Food Production Certificate (SPP-IRT). Efforts to fulfill product quality improvements can further increase the competitiveness of micro-business actors. The provisions or requirements for obtaining this permit often make it difficult for MSME players. This program aims to train and assist food MSMEs in obtaining SPP-IRT. The approach used is focus group discussions (FGD), tutorials, nutritional composition testing, and direct assistance in filling out the official IRT permit registration application issued by the government. The activity results showed that 56 food MSMEs who took part in the FGD had received training on good manufacturing practices, processing methods for processed products, and P-IRT ownership. Twelve MSME products already have documents on nutritional content and nutritional adequacy figures, and 13 MSMEs have succeeded in obtaining Home Industry Licensing Certificates, while the rest are still in the form of Business Identification Numbers (NIB), which is the identity that business actors need to have. The nutritional content and P-IRT number can be included on the packaging to gain consumer trust.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly brought many psychosocial stressors, however, some previous studies found that some patients who have recovered from COVID-19 show positive growth psychologically. This study aims to investigate the relationship between psychological well-being, post-traumatic growth, and stress appraisal in COVID-19 survivors. Psychological Well-Being Scale 18 items, Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory, and Stress Appraisal Measure were translated into Bahasa Indonesia prior to the data collection. Those three instruments then were completed online by 136 COVID-19 survivors, ages varied between 18 years old to the elderly have confirmed COVID-19 with severe symptoms. Statistical analysis was conducted to test the hypothesis of the current study. Results show that there is no significant difference in PWB, PTG, and SA levels regarding sex, age groups, and educational background respectively. The correlation between PTG and PWB in COVID-19 survivors was found to be positively significant (r=.241;p=.005). Path analysis reveals that Post Traumatic Growth only plays a mediating role in the relationship between the dimensions of Centrality and PWB and Uncontrollable and PWB. Discussion on how different dimensions of stress appraisal affect how post-traumatic growth plays a mediating role towards better well-being among COVID-19 survivors in Indonesia is elaborated further. Abstract

Recently, studies related to mental health have switched focus toward mental well-being promotion among all age groups, including students in high school level. Taking into account several factors that influence mental well-being, this study investigated mental health literacy (MHL), mental health promoting knowledge (MHPK), and resilience. This research aims to examine the predicting effect of MHL and MHPK on mental well-being, mediated by resilience. A total of 792 participants, who were recruited conveniently from a private school in Semarang, Indonesia, completed several instruments named MHLQ-SV, MHPKS, BRS, and WEMWBS. Results presented that both MHPK and MHL predict the level of high school students’ mental well-being mediated by resilience. Furthermore, MHPK was observed to contribute more to mental well-being compared to MHL. Hence, mental health intervention programs should incorporate a positive psychology approach to ensure the effectivity of the programs on resilience, leading to mental well-being enhancement.

Abstract

Berbagai upaya dilakukan banyak pihak untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mengenai kesehatan mental remaja terutama siswa SMA. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan berupa edukasi pada siswa, walaupun ternyata edukasi ini memiliki dampak negatif yaitu self-diagnosis. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di SMA X yang merupakan sekolah yang memiliki reputasi baik di kota Semarang dan rutin melaksanakan program edukasi terkait kesehatan mental. Sebanyak 50 siswa kelas XII mengikuti program edukasi yang dilaksanakan dalam bentuk webinar dan unjuk karya yang bertajuk “Finding My Diagnosis”. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya mengenali diri secara utuh dan membantu siswa membuat deskripsi diri sebagai alternatif dari diagnosa klinis yang diberikan tanpa bantuan tenaga profesional di bidangnya. Berdasarkan data kualitatif yang diperoleh pada akhir sesi webinar, dapat dilihat bahwa siswa telah mampu mendeskripsikan karakter dirinya secara positif sebagai alternatif dari self-diagnosis yang masih tampak dominan pada awal sesi.  Selain itu, pada unjuk karya yang merupakan tindak lanjut dari sub-kegiatan webinar siswa juga mampu membuat deskripsi detail terkait dirinya walau masih melibatkan istilah-istilah psikologi. Pengabdian ini dinilai dapat mengurangi kecenderungan self-diagnosis di SMA X dan diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi profesional kesehatan mental lain.

Abstract

Female adolescents living in orphanages mostly have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) affecting their lifetime development. In order to recover from ACEs exposure, individual should be going through forgiveness. Hence, the intervention of this study aims to elicit forgiveness and investigate its effect on psychological well-being. There are 15 female orphaned adolescents participating in this study and experiencing at least one ACEs using convenience sampling. Intervention in the form of the Forgiveness Therapy module consists of three main sessions and two follow-up sessions. Measures toward changes in emotional forgiveness were conducted at three time points, and measures on psychological well-being were conducted at two time points. In addition to the Emotional Forgiveness Scale and Psychological Well-Being as quantitative measures, qualitative data were also collected. Results from repeated measure ANOVA showed positive effect of this intervention toward emotional forgiveness over time. Meanwhile, there is no significant improvement in psychological well-being even though the time difference between measures was set more significantly than the measures on emotional forgiveness

Abstract

Masalah rendahnya resiliensi sering terjadi pada anak cerdas istimewa, dengan tingkat inteligensi yang tinggi dan karakteristik kepribadaian yang khas yang berbeda dengan anak yang lain, membuat mereka berpotensi memiliki kesulitan dan kegagalan dalam penyesuaian diri baik dengan orang lain, maupun dengan dirinya sendiri. Metode penelitian denga quasi-experiment, dengan single group pretest-posttest. Partisipan adalah 16 orangtua yang memiliki anak  gifted yang bergabung dalam Parents Support Group of Gifted Children yang bertempat tinggal di Yogyakarta. Pendekatan dalam eksperimen menggunakan psikoedukasi dengan pelatihan. Pelaksanan dilakukan dengan daring, dilakukan dalam lima kali pertemuan selama lima minggu dengan materi sebagai berikut, pertama pemahaman tentang resiliensi, kedua problem resiliensi anak cerdas istimewa, ketiga mengidentifikasi protective factors dan risk factors pengembangan resiliensi anaknya, ke empat dan kelima pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pelatihan Mindfulness-Strength Focused dan Coping & Problem-Solving Focused Strategy. Hasil analisis stattistik menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada resiliensi anak gifted (t=t 4.467, p<0.00). Pelatihan ini juga berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan orangtua tentang karakteristik anak gifted, resiliensi, dan mampu menerapkan tehnik-tehnik seperti Mindfulness-Strength Based Parenting, Mindfulness Breathing Exercise, setelah orangtua mendapat pelatihan atau psikoedukasi tentang resiliensi.
