Abstract

Current learning directs 21st-century learning skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. These skills are the targets of 2013 curriculum learning with HOTS question forms, which allow them to think, analyze, and utilize critical thinking skills. Therefore, critical thinking skills as assessment processes or decision-making should consider the facts, situation, concepts, methods, and criteria in the learning process. This research aims to analyze fourth-graders' critical thinking skills in social study lessons. This research is qualitative. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validity was done by source triangulation. The data analysis was done simultaneously with data collection. It consisted of data reduction, display, and conclusion. The findings showed that the fourth graders' critical thinking skills of Public Primary School 64 Buton consisted of 3 categories. They were (1) high critical thinking skills students with a percentage score of 23.3%, (2) moderate critical thinking skill students with a percentage of 54%, and (4) low critical thinking skill students with 23.3%.

Abstract

Pendidikan abad 21 menjadi sistem pendidikan harus mampu mengikuti tuntutan perkembangan zaman yang menekankan pada kemampuan siswa untuk belajar dari berbagai sumber, merumuskan masalah, berpikir analitis, dan bekerja sama dalam memecahkan masalah. Salah satu implementasi pendidikan abad 21 pada proses pembelajaran ialah peningkatan kemampuan literasi Sains. Tujuan PKM ini ialah untuk peningkatan ketrampilan Sains sisw melalui penggunaan media Pop Up Book. Metode yang digunakan ialah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini diikuti oleh guru dan siswa SDN 111 Buton. Kegiatan PKM ini terdiri dari tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakasanakan 1 hari. Kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan bahwa orang guru yang mampu implementasi penggunaan media Pop Up Book untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi Sains siswa memperoleh persentase sebesar 71%, atau kategori baik dan yang belum mampu mengimplemnetasi penggunaan media Pop Up Book dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi Sains siswa memperoleh persentase sebesar 29% atau katergori kurang.

Abstract

Learning interest is one of the important factors in the success of learning, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). One aspect that influences learning interest is students' learning style, which includes visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This study aims to determine the correlation between learning style and students' interest in learning PAI. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational design. Data were collected through questionnaires given to students, then analyzed using the Pearson correlation statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between learning style and interest in learning PAI. Students with learning styles that are in accordance with teaching methods tend to have higher learning interest compared to students who experience a mismatch in learning style and learning method. The implications of this study indicate that educators need to understand and adjust learning strategies to students' learning styles to improve their interest and learning outcomes in PAI subjects

Abstract

Program LeasingĀ  (Literasi asyik dan menyenangkan) berbasis ilmuwan cilik di SD Negeri 115 Buton bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan aplikatif. Program ini melibatkan serangkaian kegiatan, yaitu sosialisasi kepada siswa dan pelatihan yang dilakukan berupa implementasi praktikum uji kandungan makanan dengan melakukan uji karbohidrat, uji protein, uji lemak dan uji vitamin. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa program ini berhasil meningkatkan minat siswa SD Negeri 115 Buton terhadap Literasi sains serta kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep dasar sains melalui pendekatan praktis. Persentase peningkatan literasi untuk uji karbohidrat dari 45% mencapai 70%. Persentase peningkatan literasi uji protein dari 45% mencapai 75%. Peningkatan literasi sains untuk uji lemak dari 45% mencapai 65%, lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan uji lainnya. Hal ini mungkin menunjukkan bahwa siswa sedikit lebih sulit memahami konsep terkait lemak dibandingkan dengan nutrisi lainnya. Uji vitamin menunjukkan peningkatan tertinggi dalam literasi sains dari 45% mencapai 80%. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa siswa paling mudah memahami materi yang berkaitan dengan vitamin dan fungsinya dalam tubuh.

Abstract

Writing scientific papers is an essential foundation in the academic sphere, requiring researchers, students, and academics to manage, refer to, and cite various sources that support their arguments and findings. Emerging as a solution to this challenge, Mendeley Reference has the potential to change the way writers manage references in the context of higher education. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding to students, especially those in the 7th semester of the PGSD major at the Teaching and Education Faculty of Buton Muslim University, regarding the benefits of using the Mendeley application in writing scientific assignments. This PKM is carried out through three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation results showed that most participants had a good understanding, but some required further training. The positive impact of the training can be seen in the academic and professional development of the participants. Therefore, as a follow-up, practical exercises will be intensified, increased structured discussions between participants and presenters, and gathering input from participants for future improvements. Overall, this training significantly contributes to providing students with essential skills in scientific writing and better preparation for future academic and professional challenges.
