Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digital era presents significant ethical challenges to human morality and character. The amoral operation of AI has contributed to the degradation of empathy and the spread of disinformation, leading to a crisis of spiritual values within society. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach. A critical analysis was conducted to examine the role of tahfidzul Qur'an (Qur'an memorization) as a conceptual solution in facing the ethical challenges posed by AI and digitalization. The analysis indicates that tahfidzul Qur'an serves as an effective moral filter. This process is more than just a ritualistic memorization; it deeply instills Qur'anic values such as honesty, patience, and the importance of tabayyun (information verification). These values form an internal ethical fortress that equips individuals to engage with technology wisely and ethically. It is concluded that the most effective solution is not to reject technology but to integrate the spirituality offered by tahfidzul Qur'an with sound digital literacy. This combination can shape a generation that is not only technologically intelligent but also spiritually mature and morally upright, thus capable of utilizing AI for good. This finding provides a foundation for integrating Qur’anic ethics into digital literacy education.

Abstract

Rural communities in Lumbang District, Probolinggo, face high vulnerability to the spread of hoaxes due to limited access to verified information and trust-based communication patterns. The focus of this community service was to design and implement a digital literacy education model specifically based on an interpersonal communication approach to build collective resilience. The method used was Participatory Action Research, where the intervention was delivered through workshops modified into dialogical sessions, focused group discussions, and case studies, replacing one-way lecture methods. The results showed the model's significant effectiveness, evidenced by the increase in the average score of participants' verification skills from 35.4 in the pre-test to 78.2 in the post-test. The number of participants categorized as capable of verification also increased from 25.0% to 85.0%. This intervention proves that a dialogical, interpersonal approach is a key strategy for enhancing digital resilience in rural communities.

Abstract

In the era of hyper-connectivity, the massive spread of disinformation and intolerance poses a significant threat to Indonesia’s national cohesion. This study explores how the national ideology, Pancasila, is operationalized into a practical framework for tolerance education by local actors in Lumbang, East Java—a region known for its distinct multicultural harmony. Employing a Grounded Theory approach with in-depth interviews, this research analyzes the synergistic strategies of two key agents: teachers and community leaders. The findings reveal that digital media in this region functions not to create, but to amplify existing social harmony. Teachers act as strategic communicators, applying Inoculation Theory by proactively "injecting" cognitive defenses against hoaxes and positioning Pancasila as a critical ethical filter in the classroom. Conversely, Community Leaders operate as gatekeepers who prioritize "heart-to-heart" interpersonal communication over digital interactions to mitigate conflicts, viewing social media as a supplementary tool rather than a primary solution. The study concludes that Pancasila is successfully revitalized not as a mere abstract concept, but as a "lived digital ethics" or shared frame of reference. This research offers a unique bottom-up model of digital resilience where formal pedagogical structure and informal communal wisdom intersect to sustain tolerance.

Abstract

The failure of punitive approaches to youth delinquency necessitates humanistic, community-based rehabilitation models. The Pemuda Insyaf Karanganyar (KOPIKA) community offers a unique approach to rehabilitating street subcultures through interpersonal da'wah. This study analyzes the leader's communication dynamics using FIRO-B theory (Inclusion, Control, Affection). Employing an intrinsic qualitative case study design, data were collected via in-depth interviews and participant observation of members with at-risk backgrounds, followed by thematic analysis. Results reveal that behavioral transformation is driven by three mechanisms: (1) Radical Inclusion, offering unconditional acceptance to foster a sense of belonging; (2) Persuasive Control, shifting from hierarchical authority to active participation; and (3) Deep Affection, acting as an emotional anchor against recidivism. The study concludes that in collectivist contexts, fulfilling psychosocial needs (inclusion and affection) is a prerequisite for religious compliance (control). This research proposes an adaptive, empathy-based da'wah model for marginalized groups.
