Abstract

Abstract

Discourses on human nature based on Qur'anic verses and hadith have resulted in many differences of opinion in two major areas. First, regarding the interpretation of the hadith, which positions nature in opposition to non-Islamic religions, particularly Judaism, Christianity, and Zoroastrianism, rather than Islam. In this case, a child's conversion is determined by his or her parents. Second, the interpretation of the text of the Koran Surah Al A'raf verse 172 about taking testimony regarding the existence of God in the pre-existential human soul (while saying: "Am I not your God?" They responded, "Yes (You are our God), we are witnesses." Where humans lack rational awareness, prospective humans have acknowledged and believed that Allah is their god through their innate awareness. This innate awareness will become the capital of individual piety toward social piety. Keyword: Human Nature, individual piety

Abstract

Islamic education today often experiences an imbalance between spiritual-moral formation and rational-intellectual development. This indicates a theoretical gap in developing an integrated educational framework in Islamic thought. Although Al-Ghazali and Ibn Rushd represent two main paradigms in this debate, their educational ideas are rarely studied comparatively to address this issue. This study aims to comparatively analyze the educational thoughts of Al-Ghazali and Ibn Rushd and to explore their relevance to contemporary Islamic education. This research uses qualitative library research by examining primary and secondary literature related to these two scholars. This study finds that Al-Ghazali emphasizes education as spiritual purification and moral perfection based on divine guidance, while Ibn Rushd emphasizes intellectual development through reasoning and empirical inquiry. Rather than being contradictory, their perspectives complement each other. Integrating ethical-spiritual and rational-intellectual approaches offers a holistic framework for contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the development, topic interconnections, and global research directions in the field of Deep Learning during the period 2019–2024, while also examining its implications for teaching statistical mathematics in the digital era. A bibliometric approach was used to analyze publication trends, citation patterns, and keyword relationships with the assistance of VOSviewer software. Data were obtained from the Scopus database using the main keywords “Deep Learning,” “Neural Networks,” and “Artificial Intelligence.” The results indicate that peak research activity occurred in 2022 with a significant surge in citations, followed by a decline in 2023–2024, marking a phase of research stabilization. Network analysis revealed that topics such as computer vision, medical imaging, and unsupervised learning dominate, while emerging trends like federated learning and edge computing are beginning to develop toward privacy and computational efficiency. Geographically, the United States and China are the main contributors to scientific publications, followed by Germany, the United Kingdom, and Australia. These findings highlight that the core success of Deep Learning is fundamentally grounded in statistical mathematics, particularly in optimization and probabilistic modeling. Accordingly, the implications for teaching statistical mathematics involve reorienting curricula toward applied, data-driven contexts emphasizing probabilistic thinking, algorithmic reasoning, and the integration of computational tools. Such an approach encourages students to bridge theoretical understanding with real-world problem solving in artificial intelligence and data science.
