Abstract

Background: WHO declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic due to its rapid spread and has beenconfirmed worldwide. Preventive efforts are made to minimize the virus spread among the community.Sociodemographicfactors play an integral role in determining the communityknowledge, perception,attitudes, and practice towards COVID-19 prevention protocols.Methods: This review was conducted on various journal articles to see the sociodemographic factors thatinfluence the levels of knowledge, perceptions, attitudes, and practices of the community towardsCOVID-19prevention protocols. Journal articles were selected under the PRISMA guidelines, from which 28 articleswere found to meet the predetermined criteria.Result: Several sociodemographic factors found to affect the levels of knowledge, attitudes, practices,and perceptions of respondents towards the COVID-19 prevention protocols were age, gender, education,marital status, occupation, socio economic status, area of residence, and nationality.Conclusion: Education and socio economic status/monthly income were found to be the main factors thatinfluenced the respondents’ level of knowledge. Individuals with higher education tended to take healthproblems more seriously, as shown by their better scores of compliance with the COVID-19 preventionprotocols, compared to the scores shown by other groups.

Abstract

The success of exclusive breastfeeding supplies influenced by internal and external factors. Father&rsquo;s knowledge level about exclusive breastfeeding and father&rsquo;s support for breastfeeding mother are include in external factor. This research intends to prove that there is a difference of husband&rsquo;s knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and their support among women who feed their babies with exclusive breastfeeding and those who do not. This research is a crossectional study with population of this research is married couples who have baby ages 6-7 months. The number of sample in this research is 38 respondents chosen with purposive sampling technique. Research data is collected by questionnaire with close ended question type, and then analized with mann whitney test. The result of this research showed that 81% respondents have good knowledge level about exclusive breastfeeding and 45% respondents are adequatly support mother to breastfeed. Result of knowledge level produces a significance by p = 0,037 (p < 0,05), whereas for father&rsquo;s support produces a significance by p = 0,001 (p < 0,05). From both of sinificance value, it may be concluded that Ho is rejected. So there is a difference of husband&rsquo;s knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and their support among women who feed their babies with exclusive breastfeeding and those who do not. Suggestion from this research is to performed collaboration to design programs that can raise education about importance of exclusive breasfeeding to pregnant mother dan her family, particularly her husband. And for the next research to analized the other factors that related to exclusive breastfeeding supplies.

Abstract

Cakupan deteksi dini kanker serviks di Malang, pada tahun 2018 terendah berada di wilayah Puskesmas Dinoyo. Sosialisasi tentang deteksi dini kanker serviks masih berupa pemasangan spanduk dan penyuluhan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan Pasangan Usia Subur tentang deteksi dini kanker serviks. Metode menggunakan home visit dan penyuluhan dengan media audio visual dan leaflet. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 110 PUS. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner pretes dan postest. Hasilnya 62,7% responden sudah mengetahui Deteksi dini kanker Serviks. Namun 86,4% belum pernah melakukan deteksi dini. Skor rata-rata pengetahuan suami dan istri mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikan penyuluhan, sebesar 3.49 dan 2.90. Hasil uji Wilcoxon-test bermakna signifikan (p value 0,00). Kesimpulannya modifikasi metode dan media edukasi kesehatan memberikan dampak positif pada pengetahuan tentang deteksi dini kanker serviks.

Abstract

Caring for LBW babies at home is must be intensively. One of the methods used is Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) by providing warmth to LBW babies. Family involvement in the care of LBW babies is a very important. This community service aims to optimize the support of family in the care of LBW babies. Team members conducted this activity in Februari-Mei 2020 with the home visit & counseling method. Participants in this activity were 25 mothers who gave birth to LBW babies and who live in Malang Raya. Data Collection used questionnaires. The result of this activity, the majority of family support in the care of LBW babies was in good category (76%). In conclusion, family support plays an important role in the sustainability of the implementation of KMC at home.
