Abstract

Placenta previa is one of situations that lead to bleeding during pregnency. Pregnency mother with Placenta previa have to be handled by medical worker/staff as soon as possible to keep mother and her embryo safely. Nurse as one of medical staffs giving nurse guidence comprehensively play important role in monitoring mother and her fetus continualy. The nurse prepares mother to face giving birth and taking care her fetus condition. The objective of this report was to figure out conceptual and theoritical application of nurse in nurse guidance on antepertum mother with Placenta previa and nurse role as a guide, concelor, advocate, educator, coordinator, colaborator, communicator, alteration agent and researcher in directing of antepertum mother with Placenta previa. Choosing conceptual and theoritical nurse was based on clien contact having ability on adaptation, humanisticaly and having complicated- condition that lead to existancy of anxiety. Therefore it was precisely used Adaptation Concept and Theory from Roy, Need for Help from Wiedenbach, Interpersonal Relation from Peplau, Human Caring of Watson and Family Centered-Maternity Care Concept in giving nurse guidance on pregnant mother with Placenta previa. It was expected that pregnant mother with Placenta previa keep in her optimal condition, can adapt physically and phycologically, and is ready to face giving birth process.

Abstract

Good nutrition in infancy foster optimal growth and development. Human milk contains all the nutritional needs for the first 6 months of life. Breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months of life but that needed by correct management or efforts, so that every mother can suckle their baby, which one of them by doing the treatment of breast at a period of antenatal. The purpose of this research is to know about the existence of relation the treatment of breast at a period of antenatal with velocity of secretion of primipara mother’s milk after childbirth in RSU Dr Saiful Anwar Malang. This study is descriptive research using cross sectional approach. The existence of relation the treatment of breast at a period of antenatal with velocity of secretion of primipara mother’s milk after childbirth (post partum) tested by using chi-square tests, spearman correlation and odds ratio. The findings were identified that most velocity of secretion primipara mother’s milk after childbirth most showing pertained secretion quickly or less than 24 hours (53,3%). From examination result with Chi-Square test (2 = 8,571 dan p = 0,003) showing that there is relation between the treatment of breast at a period of antenatal with velocity of secretion of primipara mother’s milk after childbirth in RSU Dr Saiful Anwar Malang. The result of correlation test (r = 0,535 and p = 0, 002), show that existence of treatment of breast at a period of antenatal, will make the secretion of primipara mother’s milk after childbirth (post partum) tend to quicker or less than 24 hour with opportunity (odds ratio) 11 times quicker better than the mother which do not do the treatment of breast at a period of antenatal.

Abstract

Barotrauma is a problem caused by differences between air pressures inside the body and in the environment. This condition causes damage to many organs and body tissues. Many factors influence the occurrence of barotrauma. However, the two factors that are not obviously influencing the incidence of barotrauma are the diving frequency and the diving resting time. This study aimed to identify the effect of diving frequency and resting time on barotrauma. This study used an observational analytic design through a case-control approach of 174 respondents. The results show p-value=0.000 and OR=5.48 that indicate an effect of diving frequency on barotrauma. The diving resting time does not influence barotrauma with p-value=0.621. The diving frequency is a factor that affects the incidence of barotrauma.

The applied research method is qualitative research with an interpretative phenomenology. 7 participants were selected by using purposive sampling. Then, an analysis was carried out by the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The findings dealing with the reasons for the community leader to undertake the stocks consisted of two themes. They dealt with the administered medication to recover individuals with mental health disorders and to protect them, their families, and society. Meanwhile, the hindrances of the community leader in discharging or releasing the punishment dealt with the difficulty to get psychiatric service. Abstract

Providing health care for criminals is very complex, stressful, and challenging for the general hospital nurses who are usually not habituated to treat them. The nurses are required to keep their caring and professional work. Providing health care for criminals puts the nurses into a risky working environment. They are susceptible to physical and psychological aggressions that can influence their practices and their applied nursing care quality. The objective of this research is to explore the general hospital nurses' experience in providing health care for the criminals. This is qualitative method research with a phenomenological approach. The data collection was done by a deep interview for 10 nurses. The applied data analysis is the Interpretative Analysis Phenomenology (IPA). The six themes found in the research are: 1) feeling discomfort in working, 2) experiencing emotional conflict, 3) working in an unsafe environment, 4) having difficulties in creating a therapeutic relationship, 5) unnatural caring emergence, and 6) not wanting the police officers to get involved in treating the patients. The security and emotional feeling factors of the nurses become the greatest challenges. They make the nurses difficult to create a therapeutic relationship and lead to unnatural caring committed by the nurses. Therefore, it is important for the nurses to internalize and reflect sincere caring as the essential principles in the nursing profession. Thus, it can reach the objectives of nursing, service equality, and patient recovery.

Abstract

Nurse plays a critical role in health services during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Their duties and responsibilities impose them to stay around the patients with a high probability to become the spreaders of the virus. This study explored the experience of nurses about the public’s sentiment when the nurses confirmed COVID-19. This qualitative research was performed using a phenomenological approach. The data were collected through direct in-depth interviews and then analyzed using the Colaizzi method with a seven-step approach to 12 participants. The results showed: i) feeling stigmatized by the community and ii) feeling that the social stigma has an impact on the family, both of which are composed of several sub-themes and categories. Participants found a lot of experiences and challenges because they had to carry out their responsibilities in an environment enforcing them at risk of contracting the virus. Participants who had ever been confirmed positive for the COVID-19 perceived the stigma and negative views by the community. They needed support from all parties to create a good atmosphere and correct the wrong information related to the treatment of patients with COVID-19. Families and communities should provide motivation for the confirmed COVID-19 nurses to recover and complete the isolation procedure.

Abstract

Rabies is acute progressive encephalitis, caused by a virus that enters the body after the bite of an infected animal, and migrates to the brain. Management of rabies animal bite transmission (GHPR) with post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is the most important strategy for preventing rabies-related mortality. GHPR victims need the right PEP. Effective post-exposure provision depends on good individual awareness about rabies and access to health services. To find out the efforts made by the community in raising public awareness to get PEP by doing initial handling after GHPR appropriately. This systematic review begins by identifying the literature on scientific articles that have been published in 2014-2019 in international databases namely Proquest, ScienceDirect, Springer and Ebsco. Selection is done by systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) flow diagram and selected using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklist format tools. The nine relevant articles were obtained to be analyzed into a systematic review, namely four articles from the Proquest database, two articles from the ScienceDirect database and three articles from the Ebsco database. Community efforts in initial treatment of victims exposed to GHPR are immediately carried out by applying wound washing, providing antiseptics and immediately to health care facilities to get further treatment. The community should understand important information about handling practices in GHPR wound management appropriately. PEP was an immediate action for early relief when victims are exposed to GHPR. PEP was conducted as an effort to prevent the virus from developing into dangerous stages that could result in death
