Abstract

Fishermen's lives are less prosperous, this is due to uncertain income and operational costs in shipping and ship maintenance. The aim of this research is to analyze the welfare of fishermen in Gempol Sewu Village, Kec. Rowosari, Kendal Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, with this qualitative method you can find out directly what things influence the income and welfare of fishermen by conducting interviews with fishermen in the Gempol Sewu area. The information in thisresearch is fishermen in Gempol Sewu Village who are represented by several fishermen in the area. Based on interviews and literature studies conducted, it can be concluded that the lack of welfare of fishermen is caused by several main factors. First of all, the cost of boat maintenance and safety while sailing are crucial factors that put financial pressure on fishermen. Efforts to ensure vessels remain in good condition andmaintain safety while sailing require significant investment, which may be difficult for most fishermen to afford. Concrete steps such as providing skills training programs, easy access to capital at low interest rates, and the formation of fishermen's cooperatives can be a solution to improve the welfare of fishermen and open up opportunities for them to develop businesses other than being fishermen. In this way, it is hoped that fishermen can have a more economically sustainable alternative and improve their overall standard of living.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kondisi nyata tingkat kinerja ketarunaan dan kemampuan reseliance di gedung pembinaan karakter Politeknik Bumi Akpelni, serta mendiskripsikan tentang pengaruh kinerja ketarunaan terhadap tingkat reseliance. Penelitian ini diharapkan nantinya memberikan masukan dan atau solusi serta penerapan praktis dalam mengatasi kinerja ketarunaan agar menjadikan lebih baik lagi juga peningkatan kemampuan reseliance taruna di gedung pembentukan dan pembinaan karakter Politeknik Bumi Akpelni. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah taruna taruni angkatan 56 dengan jumlah 370 orang yang melaksanakan pembentukan dan pembinaan karakter di gedung Pembinaan dan Pembentukan Karakter Politeknik Bumi Akpelni.Pengumpulan data dengan metode kuisioner. Uji intrumen ini dilakukan terhadap 79 taruna taruni angkatan 56 prodi Nautika, Teknika dan KPN. Analisi data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Berdasarkan uji hipotesis parsial atau uji T diperoleh hasil bahwa kinerja ketarunaan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap tingkat reseliance (2) Sumbangan efektif kinerja ketarunaan terhadap reseliance taruna sebesar 13,9 persen.

Abstract

The causes of ship collisions while navigating TSS (Traffic Separation Schemes) are caused by various factors including the ship's own crew, environmental factors, equipment factors and the application of high-speed ship operating standards. The main safety factor in navigation for high-speed ships is that the ship is manned by a crew that is competent in operating high-speed ships and is supported by equipment suitable for high-speed ships. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors that cause the risk of collisions for high-speed ships, the second is to analyze the main safety factors in navigating on traffic separation charts, and the third is how to increase the safety of high-speed ships when navigating. The method used is the literature review method. Namely by collecting several data sources from several scientific journals and from several studies and several books related to research material. The discussion obtained data on the causes of high-speed ship accidents when navigating on traffic separation charts and how to improve ship safety. The conclusion is that ship accidents can be minimized if the ship is manned by a competent crew, appropriate equipment and implementation of appropriate ship operating procedures.

Abstract

Transporting container cargo by sea carries a high risk of cargo shifting and damage if containers are not positioned and lashed according to safety standards. Improper container positioning and suboptimal use of manual lashing can affect ship stability and cargo safety during voyages. This study aims to: 1). Determine the impact of container placement on the effectiveness and safety of container cargo, 2). Determine the importance of lashing as a preventive measure against damage and failure of container cargo safety functions, 3). Evaluate how the use of lashing and cargo placement conditions affect cargo safety levels. The method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires distributed to 9 crew members of MV. Pulau Nunukan. Data analysis was performed using validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity tests, as well as multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of the study indicate that cargo placement and the use of manual lashing each have a significant effect on cargo safety levels. Simultaneously, both variables also have a significant effect with a coefficient of determination value of 85.3%.
