He is insisted to tell about more realistic story, thus he tells it contains of similar conflicts with different characters; the animals are changed into humans. Here, it shows two stories in one story which blurs the true story behind it. This is what Baudrillard the process of simulation over simulacra; the reproduced false representation of the true reality. The two stories can be both true and thus, the questions can be problematized are; (1) How is simulation understood in Yann Martel’s Life of Pi? (2) What is the hyper-reality resulted as the impact of simulation represented in Yann Martel’s Life of Pi? The used method is objective approach (textually) and based on the analysis, the two stories are connected to each other, animal story represents human story while human story represents the animal story. The animal story can be seen as the false copy of the true story because it copies the human story, so can human story. This is simulation and this simulation results on the two true stories which are hyper-reality.

It causes the colonized follow and receive voluntarily the domination power of ruling class. Therefore, British Imperial hegemony to maintain their power that is reflected in both novels will be discussed as the main topic. This thesis formulates three problems; how hegemony reflected in Jembhai’s characters as ex-colonized of imperial British in Kiran Desai’s The Inheritance of Loss, how hegemony reflected in Mary’s characters as female member of Imperial British Government in Doris Lessing’s The Grass is Singing, and how the relation Jembhai and Mary in hegemony. To support the examination, Intertextuality will be used. The comparative shows both novels can be related although they are in the different era, time, and place. The principle of this research is to explore the perspectives of literary academics on AI’s ability to create literary works. This type of research is qualitative and the approach in this research is a case study. There are 3 lecturers who are the subjects in the interview which is packaged in a forum group discussion which is also the data collection technique used in this study. The data in this study are statements from the subjects during the FGD and the data source is the transcript of the FGD. The analysis technique used in this research is thematic analysis. From the analysis, it is found that AI-Generated literary works provides multiple perspectives from literary academics: 1) Concerns about the impact of AI on literature; 2) AI’s potential to expand access to literature; 3) The need for collaboration between humans and AI; and 4) The need for regulation and ethics in the development of AI for literature. This research shows that literary academics have mixed views on the development of literature created with AI. They have concerns about the impact of AI on literary values and traditions, but they also see the potential for AI to expand access to literature. Literary academics emphasise the importance of collaboration between humans and AI in creating literature and the need for regulation and ethics in the development of AI for literature.
