Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) is an important subject for every student to learn. Islamic Education learning can be organized by utilizing various types of learning media, as has been implemented in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Wonokoyo, East Java, where Islamic Education learning involves the use of print media and audio-visual media as learning tools. The purpose of this study is to examine the strategy of using learning media in IRE subjects at Madrasah Tsnawiyah Miftahul Ulum Wonokoyo. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through literature study, observation, and interviews with three Islamic teachers at the MTs. The collected data were analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the management of the use of learning media in IRE subjects at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Wonokoyo is still weak. This is caused by several factors, namely the lack of support from the madrasah for the procurement of IRE learning media and the lack of willingness of IRE teachers to improve their competence in the use of learning media. Efforts to improve the management of the use of learning media in IRE subjects at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Wonokoyo require some management improvements in aspects such as the curriculum that can support the effective use of learning media, the role of teachers to improve their competence in the use of learning media, learning methods and learning media.

Abstract

Character is one of the things that needs to be in a person, including students. This is because having a strong character will have a good impact on future life and can face all the challenges of the times. Therefore, pesantren management is very important related to student development. The research method used is qualitative with interview and observation data sources. The results of the study show that 1) In the management of character development, there are three important things that exist, namely careful planning, orderly and purposeful implementation, and sustainable evaluation. In planning, the two most important things besides VISION MISSION are the source of funds and the curriculum. At PP Raudhatul Ulum 1 Malang, there are three sources of funds for Islamic boarding schools and their activities, namely: the business of the Islamic boarding school, the tuition of students, and assistance from the community in general. The curriculum used in the pesantren is the salaf pesantren curriculum, but it still integrates with the national curriculum and modernization of the current era. 2) Forms of character development of students are seen from the activities of the pesantren. Where pesantren has three activities, namely recitation activities on books, activities to the community related to worship that are widely practiced in the community such as prayers, and extracurricular activities that support the development of the character and abilities of students, both religious science, art, sports and technology. As a result, many students who when they graduate get college scholarships and are immediately accepted into the workplace or create jobs.

Abstract

Supervisi kepala madrasah memiliki peran strategis dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui pembinaan dan evaluasi yang sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas manajemen supervisi kepala madrasah dalam optimalisasi kinerja guru berdasarkan studi literatur. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan menelaah berbagai sumber akademik, termasuk jurnal, buku, dan penelitian terdahulu terkait supervisi pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi yang efektif mampu meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru, mendorong inovasi pembelajaran, serta menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih profesional. Strategi supervisi yang diterapkan kepala madrasah, seperti supervisi akademik, supervisi klinis, dan supervisi kolaboratif, berperan dalam membangun budaya reflektif dan meningkatkan motivasi guru. Namun, beberapa faktor seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, beban kerja kepala madrasah, serta resistensi guru dapat menjadi hambatan dalam implementasi supervisi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih adaptif, termasuk pemanfaatan teknologi dan model supervisi berbasis kebutuhan guru. Studi ini merekomendasikan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai efektivitas supervisi berbasis digital serta pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pengajaran. Dengan supervisi yang optimal, diharapkan mutu pendidikan di madrasah dapat terus berkembang secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Madrasah berada dalam kondisi permasalahan yang bersifat saling berhubungan satu sama lain, meliputi dana yang kurang memadai, fasilitas kurang, guru seadanya dan mengajar di lebih dari satu sekolah, kualitas rendah, kurang bersemangat, inovasi rendah, dan rendahnya peminat. Madrasah belum memiliki penjamin mutu internal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap implementasi manajemen mutu di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Kota Malang. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yaitu mendeskripsikan fenomena dalam pelaksanaan mutu di madrasah swasta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi wawancara bersama kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah dan pendidik; studi dokumentasi berkaitan dengan dokumen yang terkait dengan 8 standar di madrasah; studi observasi yaitu pelaksanaan mutu,  penjaminan mutu di internal madrasah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rendahnya mutu pendidikan di madrasah tersebut berdampak dari pembiayaan madrasah yang masih belum memiliki kemandirian finansial, madrasah masih bertumpu pada bantuan operasional madrasah dan biaya bulanan dari siswa. Agenda penjaminan mutu akademik dilaksanakan secara maksimal oleh sivitas akademik madrasah.

Abstract

Madrasah is a formal educational institution that has an important role in educating the nation's life. The quality of madrasa education needs to be continuously improved so that madrasas can play an optimal role in educating the nation's life. One effort that can be made to improve the quality of madrasa education is to implement strong madrasa education management. The aim of this research is to determine a strong madrasa education management strategy to improve the quality of education at MTSN 2 Malang City. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out using literature study and observation. The collected data is then analyzed in three stages, namely reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that strong madrasa education management is an important step in improving the quality of madrasa education. This step is carried out by implementing a good work ethic and performance, so that it can fulfill the mandate of Law no. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. Apart from that, education management strategies can be implemented through implementing Allah SWT's command to print 'ulul albab' and Rasulullah SAW's command "thalabul ilmi faidhatun ala kullu muslimin wal muslimat." Thus, education or tarbiyah is directed at producing good student graduates, who are based on morals and have the main benchmarks, namely the Koran and hadith, not just ethics and morals.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 2 Rangkasbitung, Kabupaten Lebak, Banten, dengan tema “Pembuatan Handsoap Ramah Lingkungan Berbahan Dasar Apel sebagai Langkah dalam Mempersiapkan Wirausaha Mandiri bagi Siswa SMAN 2 Rangkasbitung”. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan dan praktik langsung kepada tenaga pendidik dan peserta didik dalam pembuatan handsoap berbahan dasar apel yang ramah lingkungan serta aman bagi kesehatan. Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) juga melakukan pendampingan berkelanjutan agar produk yang dihasilkan dapat diproduksi secara mandiri, dimanfaatkan secara optimal, dan dipasarkan secara luas. Program ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April hingga Desember 2025 (In Syaa Allah), dengan fokus awal pemenuhan kebutuhan sabun pencuci tangan di lingkungan sekolah, yang selanjutnya dikembangkan ke pasar masyarakat. Pendekatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kompetensi kewirausahaan peserta didik, menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kebersihan dan pelestarian lingkungan, serta membentuk karakter mandiri dan inovatif. Evaluasi keberhasilan kegiatan dilakukan melalui pemantauan pasca pelaksanaan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan proses produksi serta distribusi produk.

Abstract

Pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan karakter dan akhlak santri. Namun, keberagaman latar belakang sosial, budaya, dan tingkat pemahaman agama di pesantren sering kali menjadi pemicu konflik. Konflik dapat muncul dalam berbagai bentuk, seperti perbedaan pendapat antar-santri, ketegangan antara santri dan pengasuh, serta perbedaan kepentingan dalam pengelolaan pesantren. Jika tidak dikelola dengan baik, konflik ini dapat mengganggu harmoni kehidupan pesantren dan menurunkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendekatan Islami dalam manajemen konflik di lingkungan pesantren, dengan menyoroti konsep musyawarah (syura), ishlah (rekonsiliasi), ukhuwah Islamiyah (persaudaraan Islam), serta keadilan (‘adl) dalam penyelesaian perselisihan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, melalui observasi langsung serta analisis dokumen terkait kebijakan pengelolaan konflik di pesantren. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen konflik berbasis nilai-nilai Islam dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam menjaga stabilitas dan harmoni pesantren. Pendekatan ini meliputi strategi preventif dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam sejak dini, strategi kuratif melalui mediasi oleh kyai atau ustaz, serta strategi rekonstruktif yang berfokus pada rehabilitasi hubungan dan evaluasi kebijakan pesantren. Dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip Islam dalam penyelesaian konflik, pesantren dapat menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang lebih kondusif, harmonis, dan sesuai dengan tujuan pembinaan karakter santri

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which digital training in Islamic boarding schools can improve students’ skills, expand job opportunities, and reduce unemployment in Malang City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study type. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with students, Islamic boarding school administrators, and training instructors, as well as participant observation of digital training activities. Secondary data were obtained from Islamic boarding school documents, reports from the Malang City Manpower Office, and previous research related to unemployment and digital-based education. This study was conducted for four months, from February to May 2025. The research data were analyzed using several analytical methods, namely SWOT and Logic Model. The results show that job digitalization training in Islamic boarding schools can improve students’ technological literacy, particularly in digital marketing, basic graphic design, and online store management. Some students who participated in the training succeeded in developing digital-based micro-businesses or earning income through online freelancing. This study also found that infrastructure factors, instructor competence, and support from the local government, the business world, and alum networks greatly influenced the success of the training. Job digitalization training is one of the strategic and realistic solutions to address student unemployment in Malang City in the digital era.

Abstract

In facing global challenges, pesantren must continue to innovate through the management of their Islamic education without having to abandon the culture of students. So that with that achievement will be more directed related to the quality of education and the character of students. This study uses a qualitative type of descriptive with the location of PP Al-Mustofa. The sources used are interviews, and observations. The results obtained are: 1) Innovation in Islamic education management at PP Al-Mustofa Jember for the strengthening of students there are four important things which include planning that must be known by all residents of the pesantren including students and guardians, organization that must involve all including the community and guardians and have complete infrastructure. The implementation of pesantren activities is carried out every day from Monday to Sunday. Where in the implementation there is also mandatory daily habituation, special activities in addition to core activities related to book learning. In addition, it is necessary to have an evaluation of the pesantren carried out every two months and a major evaluation every year that invites all the pesantren administrators involved. 2) The forms of Islamic education management innovations of PP Al-Mustofa Jember in improving the quality of teaching and education of students in general are four things, namely: the integration of technology in learning and pesantren so that teachers are required to always use technology as an enhancer to explain the material so that it can make it easier for students to learn, curriculum changes that adjust to pesantren and national traditions, student-oriented learning approaches and 21st century skill development through trainings such as design, business, making tempeh staples, agriculture, plantations, and the development of the Englsh language.

Abstract

Student development management is a crucial aspect of primary education aimed at shaping students’ character, particularly in fostering social awareness within the community. However, several issues remain in practice, including low levels of empathy among students, a tendency toward individualistic behavior, and the suboptimal management of school development programs. This study aims to analyze student development management in enhancing social awareness at Sumbersari 2 State Elementary School Malang, focusing on planning, implementation, and evaluation. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, students, and parents as research subjects. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that student development management was implemented through event-based and routine activities integrated with community social life. These activities included the commemoration of Kartini Day through the distribution of basic food packages to underprivileged community members, the sharing of iftar meals (takjil) during Ramadan, school anniversary activities involving community clean-up and social interaction, as well as routine programs such as scouting and community service. These activities were effective in enhancing students’ social awareness through direct experiential learning. However, challenges remain, particularly in the lack of systematic evaluation and the limited sustainability of the programs. This study contributes to character education and primary school management literature by demonstrating how student development programs can strengthen social awareness through community-based experiential activities.
