Abstract

The research method used is library research with data sources of books, magazines, journals, tafsir and others. The analysis used B Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show that: 1) Educational management strategies based on local wisdom, namely: curriculum development that integrates local wisdom, community involvement and local cultural groups. 2) The model of Islamic education tradition based on local wisdom in pesantren includes: the tradition of Surau Education where people who want to learn must come to the place like a school, the tradition of Sorongan Education where students practice independently to mature their skills by meeting face-to-face with ustadz, and Badongan, a tradition of learning activities that are an approach that prioritizes collective service In studying classical books. 3) There are two challenges in integrating local wisdom into Islamic education management, namely: the gap between the value of local wisdom and Islamic teachings and the limited resources and capacity of ustadz. 4) There are four recommendations for the development of local wisdom-based education management strategies, namely: strengthening the capacity of ustadz in integrating local wisdom, closer collaboration with the community, periodic evaluation and adjustment of management strategies, and the formulation of policies that support

Abstract

Islamic-based character education has an important role in shaping a generation with noble character and integrity. School principals as educational leaders have strategic responsibilities in integrating Islamic values in the curriculum, school culture, and collaboration with parents and the community. This study aims to analyse the principal’s strategy in strengthening Islamic-based character education, especially in the aspects of leadership, curriculum integration, implementation of Islamic culture, collaboration with the community, and continuous evaluation and strengthening. This research uses the library research method by examining various scientific sources related to character education and principal leadership in the Islamic context. The results show that the effectiveness of character education is influenced by visionary principal leadership, integration of Islamic values in the curriculum, strengthening Islamic culture in the school environment, as well as active involvement of parents and the community. In addition, continuous evaluation using observation, self-reflection and digital technology plays a role in improving the success of character education programmes. The conclusion of this study emphasises the importance of a holistic approach in Islam-based character education. This research contributes by providing theoretical insights, practical guidelines, and policy recommendations for school principals and education stakeholders in strengthening Islamic-based character education to shape morally upright students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the models, management strategies, and challenges in implementing entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools. Using a qualitative case study approach. The findings reveal that there reveal four main models in entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools, namely an integrated model between the diniyah curriculum and entrepreneurship, an extracurricular model based on business units, an internship or business incubation model, and an independent economic model based on the Islamic boarding school community. The applied management strategies include the stages of vision and curriculum planning, organizing entrepreneurial structures, implementation based on direct practice (learning by doing), and thematic and continuous evaluation. The main obstacles in its implementation include limited professional human resources, minimal facilities and access to technology, weak partnership networks, and the absence of national regulations that support entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools. The study recommends strengthening human resource capacity, designing a hybrid curriculum based on Islamic values ​​and modern entrepreneurial principles, policy support from the government, and expanding partnership networks as strategic steps towards independence and sustainability of entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) is an important subject for every student to learn. Islamic Education learning can be organized by utilizing various types of learning media, as has been implemented in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Wonokoyo, East Java, where Islamic Education learning involves the use of print media and audio-visual media as learning tools. The purpose of this study is to examine the strategy of using learning media in IRE subjects at Madrasah Tsnawiyah Miftahul Ulum Wonokoyo. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through literature study, observation, and interviews with three Islamic teachers at the MTs. The collected data were analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the management of the use of learning media in IRE subjects at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Wonokoyo is still weak. This is caused by several factors, namely the lack of support from the madrasah for the procurement of IRE learning media and the lack of willingness of IRE teachers to improve their competence in the use of learning media. Efforts to improve the management of the use of learning media in IRE subjects at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Wonokoyo require some management improvements in aspects such as the curriculum that can support the effective use of learning media, the role of teachers to improve their competence in the use of learning media, learning methods and learning media.

Abstract

Character is one of the things that needs to be in a person, including students. This is because having a strong character will have a good impact on future life and can face all the challenges of the times. Therefore, pesantren management is very important related to student development. The research method used is qualitative with interview and observation data sources. The results of the study show that 1) In the management of character development, there are three important things that exist, namely careful planning, orderly and purposeful implementation, and sustainable evaluation. In planning, the two most important things besides VISION MISSION are the source of funds and the curriculum. At PP Raudhatul Ulum 1 Malang, there are three sources of funds for Islamic boarding schools and their activities, namely: the business of the Islamic boarding school, the tuition of students, and assistance from the community in general. The curriculum used in the pesantren is the salaf pesantren curriculum, but it still integrates with the national curriculum and modernization of the current era. 2) Forms of character development of students are seen from the activities of the pesantren. Where pesantren has three activities, namely recitation activities on books, activities to the community related to worship that are widely practiced in the community such as prayers, and extracurricular activities that support the development of the character and abilities of students, both religious science, art, sports and technology. As a result, many students who when they graduate get college scholarships and are immediately accepted into the workplace or create jobs.

Abstract

Supervisi kepala madrasah memiliki peran strategis dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui pembinaan dan evaluasi yang sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas manajemen supervisi kepala madrasah dalam optimalisasi kinerja guru berdasarkan studi literatur. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan menelaah berbagai sumber akademik, termasuk jurnal, buku, dan penelitian terdahulu terkait supervisi pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi yang efektif mampu meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru, mendorong inovasi pembelajaran, serta menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih profesional. Strategi supervisi yang diterapkan kepala madrasah, seperti supervisi akademik, supervisi klinis, dan supervisi kolaboratif, berperan dalam membangun budaya reflektif dan meningkatkan motivasi guru. Namun, beberapa faktor seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, beban kerja kepala madrasah, serta resistensi guru dapat menjadi hambatan dalam implementasi supervisi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih adaptif, termasuk pemanfaatan teknologi dan model supervisi berbasis kebutuhan guru. Studi ini merekomendasikan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai efektivitas supervisi berbasis digital serta pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pengajaran. Dengan supervisi yang optimal, diharapkan mutu pendidikan di madrasah dapat terus berkembang secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study examines the strategic integration of Islamic values into the curriculum of Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren). It explores the challenges posed by modernization and globalization, necessitating innovative educational management to maintain the relevance of pesantren while preserving their Islamic identity. Using a qualitative descriptive method and a case study approach, the research investigates the integration of Islamic values into formal and non-formal curricula through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Findings highlight that pesantren integrate values such as honesty, discipline, and Islamic etiquette into everyday life and formal lessons. The study underscores the crucial role of kiai (spiritual leaders), ustaz (teachers), and pesantren managers in fostering these values. The research concludes with recommendations for holistic and adaptive strategies to sustain the integration of Islamic values, ensuring the educational outcomes align with Islamic principles while addressing contemporary needs

Abstract

Madrasah berada dalam kondisi permasalahan yang bersifat saling berhubungan satu sama lain, meliputi dana yang kurang memadai, fasilitas kurang, guru seadanya dan mengajar di lebih dari satu sekolah, kualitas rendah, kurang bersemangat, inovasi rendah, dan rendahnya peminat. Madrasah belum memiliki penjamin mutu internal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap implementasi manajemen mutu di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Kota Malang. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yaitu mendeskripsikan fenomena dalam pelaksanaan mutu di madrasah swasta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi wawancara bersama kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah dan pendidik; studi dokumentasi berkaitan dengan dokumen yang terkait dengan 8 standar di madrasah; studi observasi yaitu pelaksanaan mutu,  penjaminan mutu di internal madrasah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rendahnya mutu pendidikan di madrasah tersebut berdampak dari pembiayaan madrasah yang masih belum memiliki kemandirian finansial, madrasah masih bertumpu pada bantuan operasional madrasah dan biaya bulanan dari siswa. Agenda penjaminan mutu akademik dilaksanakan secara maksimal oleh sivitas akademik madrasah.

Abstract

Pembelajaran  Al-Qur’an dan pembelajaran ilmu tajwid  sangat penting bagi umat Islam karena Al-Qur’an merupakan sumber utama hukum Islam. Dalam konteks ini, Madrasah Ilmu Al-Qur’an memiliki program membaca dengan menggunkan kaidah-kaidah ilmu tajwid yang berbasis pada buku panduan materi dan Metode Kayfiyati. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah mengeksplorasi penerapan Metode Kaifiyati dalam optimalisasi pemahaman Ilmu Tajwid Santri di Madrasah Ilmu Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus yang bersifat deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, dan penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dengan pemanjangan kehadiran peneliti, keuletan dalam pengamatan, dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perencanaan metode Kayfiyati dalam  pemahaman ilmu tajwid santri di Madrasah Ilmu Al-Qur’an Potoan Laok Palengaan Pamekasan yang meliputi tujuan, kompetensi, karakteristik muta’allim, desain kelas  berbentuk Halaqoh, materi dan target pembelajaran, desain pembelajaran, waktu, fasilitas, dan penilaian. Pelaksanaan Metode Kayfiyati dalam pemahaman Ilmu Tajwid santri meliputi pembukaan, inti atau isi materi dan penutup serta pengelolaan kelas. Evaluasi metode Kayfiyati Dalam pemahaman Ilmu Tajwid santri di Madrasah Ilmu Al-Qur’an Potoan Laok Palengaan Pamekasan, meliputi evaluasi harian dan bulanan yang mencakup teknis dan hasilnya.

Abstract

The analysis of nepotism management in Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) aims to examine the impact of nepotistic practices on human resource management in these educational institutions. This study uses a literature review method, examining various sources related to pesantren management, nepotism, and human resource management principles. The literature review findings show that nepotism in Islamic boarding schools often occurs in the recruitment and promotion of teachers and staff. While this practice may preserve loyalty and traditional values, it can hinder innovation, professionalism, and the quality of education. The long-term effects of nepotism include weakened organizational efficiency and individual performance. Therefore, this study recommends the implementation of a competency-based and accountable management system, emphasizing transparency to improve the quality and effectiveness of human resource management in Islamic boarding schools.
