Abstract

Education is the embodiment of a nation, a nation that has a strong character is able to make itself a dignified nation. So that the application of character education in the history of education is very good if implemented properly. Character education is also a planned and conscious effort in order to pass on the character one already has while at the same time building even better character, to improve the quality of individuals in society. At present the values of educational character for students are fading. Judging from the fact that today there are many students who have violated the norms of life and many of them are violating the law as is often the case at this time, there are many cases such as brawls, bullying, persecution and sexual violence committed by students at this time. , students who do not respect teachers and parents, students who have a lot of westernized culture, we rarely find nowadays who are proud and use local products. From these problems through history learning can build the character of students. The purpose of this research is to build students' character through past stories of historical figures in the history lesson of the independence curriculum. This study uses a qualitative method that uses technical analysis of literature. The result of this study is to explain the solution to the problem of forming character education through reading and implementing stories of historical figures in the independence curriculum. Learning the formation of the nation's character through stories of the past and a new twist in histiography in Indonesia is the main reason for the need for character education in education; teaching history for the formation of the character of students. Teachers are required to implement it.

Abstract

History learning is a branch of science that discusses the origin, development, and role of society in the past that bears the value of wisdom that is useful in shaping the attitudes and personality of students. The purpose of this study was to analyze how learning motivation significantly affects the cognitive learning outcomes of Phase E students of SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research. This research is descriptive with an inductive approach. The method used in this research is regression analysis conducted at SMA Negeri 12 Padang. Based on the results of research and discussion that researchers have done related to the influence of learning motivation on cognitive learning outcomes of history phase E students of SMA Negeri 12 Padang, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between learning motivation on learning outcomes.

Abstract

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) adalah pendekatan berbasis penelitian yang bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan pembelajaran melalui refleksi kritis dan evaluasi sistematis. Dalam pendidikan sejarah, SoTL dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir historis, analisis sumber, dan kemampuan penelitian mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggambarkan praktek pengajaran dan pembelajaran dalam pendidikan sejarah bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki dampak strategi pengajaran dan pembelajaran khusus terhadap keterlibatan mahasiswa calaon guru sejarah dalam pembelajaran sejarah, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan praktek pengajaran. Metode penelitian ini ialah menggunakan metode eksperimen di mana membandingkan kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitiannya ialah terjadi peningkatan rata-rata sekitar 53,4% pada kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan praktek langsung dalam pembelajaran sejarahnya. Pembelajaran dengan melibatkan langsung mahasiswa dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan mahasiswa untuk menganalisis sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder, menyusun argumen sejarah, dan mengembangkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang konten sejarah terutama dalam implementasi pengajaran sejarah.

Abstract

This research is based on the weak ability of students to implement historical learning assessments due to the lack of supporting competencies. This study aims to analyze the use of transversal competencies to achieve learning objectives in learning planning in historical learning assessment courses. This study used experimental methods to analyze data. The result of the research is that transversal competencies applied in learning and delivering material in the history learning assessment course are more meaningful and more accessible to implement coupled with the history learning assessment course, which is a practical course. The application of transversal competencies in the learning planning of history learning assessment courses in History Department students will also emphasize specific skills, knowledge, values, and attitudes necessary for effective participation in supporting the student learning process.

Abstract

Budaya literasi membaca dan literasi numerasi menjadi salah satu fondasi dalam terlaksananya Pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan terhadap guru SMPN 6 Sungai Nyalo Koto XI Tarusan mengenai penggunaan metode gamifikasi sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi peserta didik dalam mendukung implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan. Tahapan pertama berupa persiapan dan sosialisasi yang dilakukan pada mitra terkait dengan kegiatan pendampingan literasi dan numerasi. Tahapan selanjutnya adalah perencanaan dalam menentukan pakar dan narasumber dalam kegiatan tersebut. Pakar yang ahli dibidangnya serta yang mampu melakukan pendampingan dalam menerapkan literasi dan numerasi melalui gamifikasi. Tahapan terakhir yang dilaksanakan adalah pelaksanaan kegiatan yang berupa pendampingan program literasi dan numerasi melalui gamifikasi, serta produk yang dihasilkan oleh guru-guru dalam pelatihan ini berupa pemilihan jenis gamifikasi untuk meningkatkan literasi dan numerasi yang sesuai dengan materi dan karakteristik peserta didik. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah setelah guru SMPN 6 Sungai Nyalo Koto XI Tarusan mengikuti kegiatan, para guru dapat mengetahui lebih dalam lagi tentang metode gamifikasi serta menguasai bagaimana cara menerapakan metode gamifikasi dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas untuk meningkatkan minat serta kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Kepulauan Mentawai dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menyusun modul ajar berbasis Understanding by Design (UbD) serta mengintegrasikan transversal competencies yang meliputi kolaborasi, komunikasi, berpikir kritis, dan kreativitas. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah keterbatasan guru dalam merancang modul ajar yang terstruktur, rendahnya partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran, serta minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui lima tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Teknologi digital sederhana seperti Google Docs, Pear Deck, dan Canva (dengan fitur Magic Write) diperkenalkan untuk mendukung guru dalam menyusun modul ajar kolaboratif, menghadirkan pembelajaran interaktif, serta menghasilkan produk ajar yang kreatif dan kontekstual. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keberdayaan mitra. Sebanyak 80% guru mengalami peningkatan pemahaman berdasarkan perbandingan skor pretest–posttest, sementara 70% guru menyatakan lebih percaya diri dalam merancang pembelajaran. Program pengabdian ini berhasil memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan kapasitas guru dan kualitas pembelajaran di daerah 3T, serta mendukung pencapaian SDG 4 (Quality Education) dan SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Abstract

This research was raised due to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world. This pandemic certainly has an impact on the world of education. The government overcame the spread of COVID-19 by moving all face-to-face activities online. Padang State University also appealed to students, teaching staff, and staff to do work at home (online). In the online learning system, researchers saw that students of the History Department of FIS UNP experienced culture shock, that they were surprised and unprepared for online learning. This research was raised to determine the factors and analysis of interest of FIS UNP History Department Students. This online learning system has both positive and negative impacts. The positive impact of the online learning system is that students have no difficulty in doing learning. They don't need to do activities to class just do it at home. While the negative impact of students who use telecomference will consume excess internet quota and adequate internet signal. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. This method is used to describe and expose the object to be studied in the form of analysis and make conclusions from the data. This has been reviewed from the distribution of questionnaires to students and descriptive analysis conducted by researchers. From the results, 60% of students of the History Department of FIS UNP have an interest and motivation in doing an online learning system rather than conventional learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya variasi dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran oleh guru di dalma proses pembelajaran sejarah. Salah satu inovasi dalam media pembelajaran adalah peta yang berbasis permainan monopoli. Dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang berbasis permainan dapat membuat peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran sehingga dapat membangun pemahaman konseptual yang lebih dalam. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh media MIKO (Maps Islamic Kingdom) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X 6 MAN 1 Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest dan posttest. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa guru maupun peserta didik membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang yang dapat membuat peserta didik terlibat secara aktif dalam pembelajaran sehingga mampu membangun pemahaman konseptual yang lebih mendalam mengenai materi Kerajaan Islam di Nusantara. Penggunaan media MIKO dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta didik sehingga hasil belajar akan meningkat.
