Abstract

This paper describes the concept of differentiated learning as a learning diversity solution in the classroom. Differentiated learning was launched simultaneously with independent learning (Merdeka Belajar), which has started to be implemented in elementary schools. The main feature of differentiated learning is to interpret every diversity possessed by students to be facilitated properly in learning activities. Differentiated learning refers to modifying the process of education and learning in the classroom to fulfill the learning needs of each student. Based on the implementation, the teacher must be able to consider that each student in the class has diverse and unique learning needs. Differentiated learning consists of the differentiation of content, processes, and learning products. Therefore, students must have broad opportunities to be able to demonstrate what they have learned in the learning process, which is carried out according to their learning needs. The research method used is literature review research. Data collection techniques are carried out by searching data through various sources, either papers, books, articles, or journals. The research results indicate that differentiated learning is considered to be able to facilitate the students’ diversity through a set of learning activities, which is based on the content, context, and product.

Abstract

One of the government's initiatives is the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) to improve the health and learning quality of elementary school students. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Program and its impact on student concentration at Kalongan Sleman Public Elementary School. The study requires a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research subjects included 10 fourth-grade students, 11 fifth-grade students, 10 sixth-grade students, and 3 classroom teachers. The results showed that the Free Nutritious Meals Program had been implemented routinely and in an organized manner with teacher assistance and an orderly food distribution mechanism. This program had a positive impact on students' concentration in learning, as indicated by increased focus, readiness to participate in learning, and student activity in the classroom after consuming nutritious meals. This impact was more evident in fifth and sixth graders than in fourth graders. However, the implementation of the program still faces obstacles in the form of menu variations, student taste preferences, and certain conditions such as food allergies. Thus, the Free Nutritious Meals Program contributes positively to improving the learning focus of elementary school students, but requires continuous evaluation and adjustment in order to optimize its benefits.

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to create Kahoot-based flashcard learning materials and assess their viability, usefulness, and efficacy in raising third-grade primary school pupils' reading proficiency. Since reading is the basis for comprehending a variety of learning materials, it is an essential skill that students must acquire at the primary school level. In reality, though, a lot of pupils still struggle with reading, which highlights the necessity for interesting educational materials that fit students' personalities. A Research and Development (R&D) technique including many stages—needs analysis, product design, product development, expert validation, restricted trials, product modification, and field testing—was used in this study. Third-grade primary school pupils who were split into an experimental class and a control class served as the research participants. Pretests and posttests of reading proficiency were used to gauge efficacy, student and teacher response questionnaires were used to gauge practicality, and validation questionnaires from media and material specialists were used to ascertain media feasibility. While efficacy data were evaluated utilizing precondition tests, such as normality and homogeneity tests, followed by an Independent Sample t-test, feasibility and practicality data were studied descriptively. Based on assessments by media and material specialists, the results show that the Kahoot-based flashcard medium is viable. Responses from both teachers and students demonstrate the usefulness of the media in the classroom. Additionally, reading proficiency in the experimental and control groups differs significantly, according to efficacy testing. As a result, Kahoot-based flashcard materials are useful for raising third-grade primary school pupils' reading proficiency.
