Abstract

The Syrian Civil War, starting from 2011 and still ongoing, is one of the largest conflicts in the region which highly affected the overall stability of the region and has involved several parties. With multiple factions fighting each other inside the territory of Syria and sometimes clashing through the border regions of neighbouring countries, it is inevitable for Syria’s neighbours such as Turkey to react. With the decreasing regional stability of the Middle East, a region which has caught the interests of many other powers such as The United States due to its abundance of resources (primarily oil), western nations too eventually take action towards the civil war. Condenming the Syrian Government under President Bashar Al Assad for alleged human rights violations towards their own citizens, the United States along with Turkey sided with anti-government rebellions and actively supported them by supplying weapons and munitions, along with providing military training. However, despite having mutual interest on supporting anti-government rebels and later countering ISIS offensives, the Interests of Turkey and US are not always in-line with each other.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to find out whether leadership and service quality influence student satisfaction at the Ibnu Syam Cilegon Islamic Boarding School from an Islamic perspective. This research used quantitative methods, data was collected through questionnaires from 61 respondents, then multiple linear regression analysis was carried out. The results of this research are that leadership has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction with a t-count (4.302) > t-table value (1.671), and service quality has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction with a t-count (8.209) > value t-table (1.671), then leadership and service quality together influence student satisfaction with an f-count (64.964) > f-table value (3.15). Keywords: Leadership, Service Quality, Student Satisfaction, Ibnu Syam Islamic Boarding School Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah kepemimpinan dan kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan santri di Pondok Pesantren Ibnu Syam Cilegon dalam perspektif Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuisoner dari 61 responden, kemudian dilakukan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan santri dengan nilai t-hitung (4,302) > nilai t-tabel (1,671), dan kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan santri dengan nilai t-hitung (8,209) > nilai t-tabel (1,671), kemudian kepemimpinan dan kualitas pelayanan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan santri dengan niali f-hitung (64,964) > nilai f-tabel (3,15). Abstract

The United States along with Turkey sided with anti-government rebellions and actively supported them by supplying weapons and munitions, along with military training. However, despite having mutual interest on supporting rebels and later countering ISIS offensives, the Interests of Turkey and US are not always in-line with each other. Using the perspective of realism theory of international relations, this research attempts to highlight a case where cooperations between countries tend to prioritise the benefit of their own countries over their partners. Academically, this paper also contributes on adding an analysis based off realist perspective in relation to the Syrian conflict

Abstract

Physical education learning is influenced by physiological and psychological factors. In Athletics material, especially Long Jump sub-material, physiological factors are physical conditions in this case are 30 Meter Run and leg muscle explosive power while psychological factors include Interest aspects. The Long Jump Ability of Students of SMA Negeri 1 Peulimbang in the 2012/2013 Academic Year is relatively poor, this is illustrated by the average value, this is illustrated by the data on the results of long jump learning of students at the school which is still below average. These poor results are inseparable from the physiological and psychological factors that influence it. This study aims to determine the relationship between Interest (X1), 30 Meter Run (X2) and Leg Muscle Explosive Power (X3) with Long Jump Ability (Y) of Students of SMA Negeri 1 Peulimbang in the 2012/2013 Academic Year. This type of research is descriptive correlational research, namely describing the relationship between the variables studied. The number of samples in this study was 34 Students of SMA Negeri 1 Peulimbang in the 2012/2013 Academic Year. From the results of the research data analysis, the following results were obtained; there is a relationship between X1 and Y with a correlation coefficient of 0.59. There is a relationship between X2 and Y with a correlation coefficient of 0.39. There is a relationship between X3 and Y with a correlation coefficient of 0.50. The correlation coefficient together X1, X2, X3 with Y is 0.90. With rtable = 0.339 it can be concluded that rcount> rtable (0.90> 0.339), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between Interest (X1), 30 Meter Running (X2) and Leg Muscle Explosive Power (X3) with Long Jump Ability (Y) of Students of SMA Negeri 1 Peulimbang in the 2012/2013 Academic Year.
