Abstract

Theological study of the image of God helps to understand the two words, words that are not different in meaning, but reinforce each other. The topic of the image and likeness of God has produced three popular views, namely the substantial, relational and functional views. Each of these three views has advantages and disadvantages. The aim of the research is to present a third view in a balanced way and to develop new thinking apart from conducting comparative and evaluation studies. Methode search as methode kualitatif deskritif. The findings of this study indicate that: First, the image of God is a fully Man. The results of the research on the word image and likeness in Genesis 1:26-31, 5:1-3 and 9:6 prove that the use of the words "image" and "likeness" are not separate or distinct terms. In essence, the meaning of the words "image" and "likeness" is the same. Second, the image of God in Genesis 1:26, is man was created to be God's representative, that is, to rule over His creation, to rule in the sense of carrying out God's mandate. Third, the image of God requires God's Atonement. The history of human life on earth tells that humans violate God's word and cause humans to sin. Humans need redemption to be able to live obediently and be able to carry out God's mandate of "power." The complete restoration of the original man as even more like the heavenly body and that of Christ will take place in the eternities. Fourth, further research. The researcher realizes that the results of this study are still incomplete because it opens up opportunities for further research.

Abstract

Abstract

The thesis entitled, "Analysis of the Impact of Worship Based on John 4:23 on the Spiritual Growth of the GBI Patuha Bandung Congregation."John 4:23 can provide the teachings of the Lord Jesus about worship and the extent of its impact on the spiritual growth of the congregation. The research aims to explore how worship in the context of church services affects spiritual growth, including heart transformation, spiritual renewal, and character development in Christ. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the impact of worship based on John 4:23 on the spiritual growth of the congregation at Gereja Bethel Indonesia (GBI) Patuha, Bandung. Data were collected through interviews with leaders, activists, and church workers, as well as direct observations in the field. The results show that worship, as described in John 4:24, is a vital aspect of the spiritual life of the GBI Patuha congregation. The church has undergone significant transformation by shifting its focus from teaching to worship, with the aim of deepening a personal relationship with God. Worship is not only an emotional activity but also a means to strengthen faith, renew the spirit, and shape Christ-like character in the lives of the congregation. Worship grounded in the Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit positively impacts the church community, encouraging active service and devotion to God and others. The congregation experiences heart transformation and spiritual renewal, which strengthens their relationship with God. Furthermore, worship focused on God encourages the congregation to live in humility, love, and obedience, as well as increasing their enthusiasm for serving. Innovations such as providing digital worship platforms also extend the church’s reach and enhance congregational involvement. This study also recommends the development of more structured worship training to deepen theological understanding and correct worship practices according to biblical principles.

Abstract

This article explores in depth the theological view of Ephesians 4:11-16, which details the role of leadership in ministry in the midst of the dynamics of the digital age. This article provides a strong foundation for understanding the importance of leaders in the development and guidance of trust communities in the era of modern technology. By blending biblical analysis and contemporary perspectives, this article presents the idea that effective ministry leaders in the digital age need to find a balance between spiritual wisdom and technological understanding. Ephesians 4:11-16 opens the door to in-depth reflection on the role and responsibility of ministry leaders in facing the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. Today's leaders are required not only to have solid spiritual wisdom, but also a profound understanding of technology. They need to be able to guide the trust community through the ever-expanding digital world. This article suggests that ministry leaders should blend Bible principles with contemporary understanding of technology. Leaders who can respond wisely to social and technological dynamics will be better able to build and guide their communities. This balance creates room for spiritual growth while remaining connected to the reality of the digital world. Thus, this article stimulates thinking about how service leaders can be effective agents of change in the digital age, by combining intellectual wisdom and technological understanding to empower community beliefs towards sustainable relevance and impact.

Abstract

Integrity is a term that has become familiar because everyone in all professionsstrives to have good integrity, including Christian teachers. The integrity that people pursueand possess is generally the same as the integrity that Christian teachers also pursue andpossess. Problems related to integrity arise, because there are cases found both in the massmedia or social media and in the community regarding teacher integrity. Teachers who donot maintain integrity can damage their own reputation as a teacher. Teachers who areeducated individuals and certainly know the need for integrity within themselves. However, even though we know that integrity is good and must be possessed, it cannot be denied thatthere are teachers who deliberately ignore it for the sake of certain interests. The results ofresearch on the implications of the integrity of Bible figures for Christian teachers are asfollows: First, integrity is a characteristic possessed by someone who has been able todevelop his personality in such a way as to achieve a high level of development, balancedand integrated between various aspects of himself: physical, psychological, social andspiritual. Integrity can be interpreted as honesty and conformity between values andbehavior. Values and behavior will be compatible if spirituality leads the behavior. Second, the definition of integrity is very perfect and it is impossible for humans to have it, but if youpay close attention, Daniel, Paul, Ruth, Barnabas and several other Bible figures can havegood integrity. Third, nothing is impossible for a Christian teacher, especially with sincerity, surrender and offering it for the glory of God's name. Have commitment and consistency andmaintain honesty and conformity between values and behavior based on the truth of God'sword. The Holy Spirit will give strength and sensitivity so that we can maintain a balance ofbelief between words and deeds.
