Abstract

Desalination technology, which has been the most widely utilized method of meeting the requirement for clean water for the past 50 years, can be employed in attempts to use seawater. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how variations in the composition of distilled water are affected by the multistage distillation of seawater from Cemara Sewu Beach, Bantul, Yogyakarta. LPG gas is used as fuel to heat sea water during the distillation process. To obtain distilled water, the seawater vapor is then condensed. Subsequently, the distillation procedure is executed in three phases, with every phase being evaluated using the distilled water. The overall CaCO3 hardness level in the first stage of distilled water is still high, thus it does not exceed clean water quality criteria. Meanwhile, in the second and third stages, there are two parameters, namely pH and total hardness level, which do not meet the clean water requirements. In general, the first stage of distilled water is sufficient to be processed into clean water with the addition of water hardness treatment. Repeated distillation has a tendency to reduce pH, total hardness, TDS, fluoride, nitrate and detergent.

Abstract

Indonesia, the world's largest producer of crude palm oil (CPO), turns its oil through a series of refinement processes that include degumming, bleaching, and deodorization before it is used as cooking oil. Still, heavy metals are the main focus of CPO research. Elements known as heavy metals can have harmful effects on the human body, even in small doses. Making sure the amount of metal in CPO doesn't go over the limit is crucial. To find out how much this ingredient contributes to the heavy metal contamination in crude palm oil, more research is required. The CPO refining process is carried out with the aim of reducing free fatty acids and removing dirt or metals dissolved in CPO, which can affect the quality of cooking oil. AAS can detect metals in small amounts and provide analytical differences of up to 0.006 mg/kg.

Abstract

Vinasse liquid waste is a waste product resulting from the ethanol distillation process. Phosphate in high concentrations can harm the environment, such as by polluting water sources and underground surfaces. In this research, adsorption of phosphate ions was carried out in vinasse waste to remove these pollutants using quaternary ammonium polymers. The study examined the effect of vinasse waste sample temperature on the adsorption of phosphate ions. The first step in this work was to create a quaternary ammonium polymer utilising a one-pot technique using 2-[methacryloyloxy)ethyl trimethylammonium chloride solution, also referred to as META. Subsequently, the adsorption process was performed using temperature variations of 25, 30, 40, 50, and 60 . Phosphate ion adsorbance was measured with UV-Vis spectrometers at a wavelength of 880 nm. The quaternary ammonium polymer succeeded in adsorbing the phosphate ion content of the vinasse waste at an optimal temperature of 40 , with an adsorption capacity of 3.78 mg/L and a removal efficiency of 75.70%.  The adsorption isotherm model for phosphate ions onto quaternary ammonium polymer was studied using the Freundlich and Langmuir equations. The obtained data indicated that the Langmuir isotherm model, with an value of 0.9921, is well-suited for describing the adsorption behaviour in this research.

Abstract

Abstract this research aims to test of product quality, promotion, brand image and brand trust on purchase decision. The data in this research was collected using questionnaires as the data collection instrument. The sample consisted of 130 respondents. This research used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis and was processed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). The hypothesis was tested using SPSS version 25.0. The results of this study indicate that, partially, the product variable has a positive and significant effect on purchase decision of Aqua products, statistically 0.000 < 0.05, and has a t-value > t-table value of 4.713 > 1.657. The promotion variable does not affect and is not significant for purchase decision of Aqua products, statistically 0.947 > 0.05, and has a t-value < t-table value of 0.066 < 1.657. Meanwhile, the brand image variable has a positive and significant effect on purchase decision of Aqua products, statistically 0.002 < 0.05, and has a t-value > t-table value of 3.246 > 1.657. Additionally, the product brand trust has a positive and significant effect on purchase decision of Aqua products, statistically 0.004 < 0.05, and has a t-value > t-table value of 2.974> 1.657. The Adjusted R Square value of the independent variables, namely product quality, promotion, brand image and brand trust, shows that 41.2% of the variance is explained by these variables, while the remaining 58.8% is explained by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Influence of Brand Image, Discount, Customer Advocate and Loyalty Program on Customer Loyalty of My Telkomsel Users in Lhokseumawe City. The data in this study are primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires to users of the My Telkomsel application. The population in this study is unknown, and using the hair formula, 100 respondents were obtained. The instrument measurement tool in the study is a Likert scale. This study uses non-probability sampling because the population is not known for certain. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques in the study used multiple linear regression analysis, Classical Assumption Test, and hypothesis testing and determination coefficients were carried out using the SPSS version 26 program. and the results of the study showed that Brand Image has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, this is evidenced by the t count value> t table (3.302> 1984) and a significant value of 0.001 <0.05, Discount has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, this is evidenced by the t count value> t table (3.533> 1984) and a significant value of 0.001 <0.05, Customer Advocate has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, this is evidenced by the t count value> t table (3.769> 1984) and a significant value of 0.001 <0.05 and Loyalty Program has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, this is evidenced by the t count value> t table (3.922 > 1984) and a significant value of 0.002 < 0.05. For further research, it is possible to add existing samples and expand the research location and variables to obtain more accurate research results.
