Abstract

Pengembangan soft skills bukanlah hal baru dalam bidang pendidikan, karena landasan untuk pengembangannya sudah sangat jelas, UU Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 Tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, Bab I, Pasal 1 Ayat 1. Perlunya pengembangan soft skills di program kelas internasional terkait dengan permasalahan yang muncul di rintisan program kelas internasional yang sudah diselenggarakan di Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika FMIPA UNY.  Dari kelas rintisan  tersebut dapat teramati pada proses perkuliahan sering terlihat keraguan mahasiswa untuk terlibat aktif dalam perkuliahan. Selain karena kendala yang muncul akibat keterbatasan mahasiswa dalam menguasai percakapan bahasa Inggris, sehingga mereka memerlukan waktu lebih lama untuk menyimak isi perkuliahan,  tapi juga yang tampak menonjol adalah pengaruh dari kurang berkembangnya soft skills mahasiswa.Rancangan eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Non Random Pre-tes Post-test Control Group. Dalam rancangan ini, pengambilan subyektidak dilakukan secara rambang. Rancangan ini dipilih karena selama eksperimentidak memungkinkan untuk mengubah kelas yang telah ada. Pra tes digunakan untukmenyetarakan pengetahuan awal kedua kelompok sedangkan post tes digunakan untukmengukur hasil belajar dan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui perkembangan soft skillsselama dan setelah proses belajar. Kegiatan belajar yang dilakukan dengan berbasis konteks, menyebabkan peserta didik aktif merumuskan pertanyaan, mencari sumber informasi dan mengumpulkan informasi dari sumber, mengolah informasi yang sudah dimiliki, merekonstruksi data/fakta/nilai, menyajikan hasil rekonstruksi/proses pengembangan nilai. Hal ini menumbuhkan soft skills pada diri mahasiswa melalui berbagai kegiatan belajar yang terjadi di kelas pembelajaran, lingkungan kampus, dan tugas-tugas di luar kampus. Pengembangan soft skills ini berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa baik secara proses maupun produk yang di ambil datanya melalui tes. Development of soft skills is not new in the field of education , as a foundation for the development has been very clear , the Law No. 20 Year 2003 on National Education System , Chapter I , Article 1, Paragraph 1 . Necessity development of soft skills in the international class courses related to problems that arise in pilot programs that have an international class held at Department of Physics, State Education UNY . Of the stub class can be observed on the lecture often seen doubts of students to be actively involved in the lecture . In addition to constraints that arise due to the limitations of the student in mastering English conversation , so they take more time to listen to the contents of the lecture , but also that stood out was the effect of the lack of soft skills development mahasiswa.Rancangan experiments used in this study is the Non-Random Pre - test Post -test Control Group . In this design , making Rambang subyektidak done . This design was chosen because during eksperimentidak allows to modify existing classes . Pre- tests are used untukmenyetarakan prior knowledge while the second group used post- test learning outcomes and take into observation sheet to determine the development of soft skillsselama and after the learning process . Learning activities undertaken by the context -based , causing active students to formulate questions , seek resources and collect information from sources , process the information they have, reconstructing data / fact / value , presenting the results of the reconstruction / development process value . This growing soft skills in students through a variety of self- learning activities that occur in the classroom learning , campus environment , and tasks outside the campus . The development of soft skills significantly influence the improvement of student learning outcomes both process and product are taken through the test data

Abstract

This research aims to describe students learning activities through the implementation of students worksheets based on POE. This study was descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted in one of the Islamic Senior High School in Bantul, Yogyakarta on Circular Motion material. The research subject was determined through random sampling. The number of subjects in this research consisted of 26 students in the first year. Data were collected using an observation sheet in 3 meetings observed by two persons and the interview. The results of the analysis obtained are expressed in terms of percentages and then interpreted in the form of scientific narratives. Data analysis results show that the students’ worksheet based on POE can be used to enhance students’ learning activities, especially in visual activities, oral activities, writing activities, motor activities, and mental activities with the most dominant activities is writing activities, and the weakest one is oral activities. Students feel that using students’ worksheets based on predict-observe-explain makes them involved directly in the demonstration or the practicum, can create their curiosity, make they even more seriously in the study, increase the interest in studying physics and help each other with their friends. But, the students’ confidence and speaking ability must be the concern, so students are not reluctant to share their idea in front of the class.

Abstract

Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika yang meliputi silabus, RPP, LKS, dan instrumen evaluasi yang berorientasi pada scientific approach. Adapun tujuan khusus penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) Mengetahui kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran fisika yang dihasilkan mahasiswa calon guru fisika dalam kegiatan PPL sebagai produk hasil pengembangan dan (2) Mengetahui kemampuan saintifik siswa SMA setelah diterapkannya perangkat pembelajaran fisika berorientasi pada scientific approach sebagai produk hasil pengembangan.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (RD) dengan menggunakan Empat Fase Perancangan Pengajaran Model Prosedural yang diadaptasi dari Four-D’s Model of Instructional Design dari Thiagarajan. Dalam model prosedural ini dikenal 4 (empat) fase pengembangan yakni: (1) definisi (define), (2) desain (design), (3) pengembangan (develop), dan (4) uji coba (disseminate). Namun demikian, penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap pengembangan. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dimulai dari fase definisi (awal kegiatan), menuju ke arah fase desain, pengembangan, dan uji coba yang dalam prosesnya berlangsung secara prosedural dan melibatkan pihak-pihak calon pengguna, ahli dari bidang yang dikembangkan (subject matter experts), anggota tim dan instruktur, dan pembelajar. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Seluruh data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian yang dilakukan telah berhasil mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika berorientasi pada scientific approach yang mampu mempersiapkan calon guru fisika sehingga memiliki kompetensi profesional dalam pembelajaran fisika berbasis saintifik sesuai Kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap temuan-temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) perangkat pembelajaran berorientasi pada scientific approach yang dihasilkan mahasiswa calon guru fisika dalam kegiatan PPL telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan berdasarkan hasil expert judgement validator maupun uji empirik di sekolah mitra PPL sebagai naracoba; dan (2) kemampuan saintifik siswa SMA menunjukkan bahwa aspek mengamati dan bertanya dalam rangka pemerolehan data masih rendah yang ditunjukkan dengan persentase keberhasilan pada rentang 50-60%.Kata kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, pendekatan saintifik, fisika, kurikulum 2013

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen sekolah siaga bencana (SSB) di SMP N 2 Cangkringan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru mata pelajaran IPA, guru mata pelajaran IPS, serta kepala tata usaha selaku koordinator pelaksana program SSB. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interactive Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan program SSB di SMP N 2 Cangkringan diawali dengan penyamaan persepsi dan komitmen antar warga sekolah, dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan rencana kontinjensi bersama warga sekolah dengan komite sekolah dan instansi terkait. Perencanaan diikuti kajian tingkat kesiapsiagaan sekolah serta peningkatan kapasitas dalam bentuk pelatihan untuk semua stakeholder sekolah. Sekolah telah melaksanakan simulasi atau drill pelatihan menghadapi bencana. Namun, belum dilaksanakan evaluasi keterlaksanaan program SSB secara menyeluruh sehingga demi tercapainya tujuan SSB secara maksimal masih diperlukan banyak peningkatan dan dukungan dari berbagai pihak. AbstractThis research aimed to describe the management of a disaster preparedness programs in SMP N 2 Cangkringan. This research was a qualitative case study approach. The research subjects were the school principal, science subject teacher, social studies teacher, and head of administration as program coordinator. Data collected by interviews, observation, and documentation. Miles and Huberman's model, which included data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing was applied to analyze the data. The results show that the planning of the program began to make an equal perception and commitment among school residents, followed by making contingency plans together with the school community, school committee, and related agencies. Planning is followed by a study of school preparedness levels and capacity building in the form of training for all school stakeholders. The school has carried out a disaster training drill or simulation. However, a comprehensive evaluation of the program has not yet been carried out, so that in order to achieve the program’s objectives, many improvements and support from various parties are still needed.

Abstract

Textbooks are one of the learning resources that are widely used by students and teachers. Analyzing the contents of a textbooks is a way that can be done to assess the quality of the book. This research aims to determine the content of the revised K-13 science textbook grade VII SMP/MTs which is appropriate for integrated disaster risk reduction learning in schools. The emphasized disaster is a disaster that often occur in Indonesian. This research used document analysis method. Data were collected based on a systematic review of documents and supporting evidence in the form of research on disaster risk reduction in science learning in SMP / MTs. Data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis based on research focus. This research was conducted by analyzing two books from the government and non-government. The result of research shows that there are 19.05% sub material in the science books from the government and 17.2% of non-government that integrated disaster risk reduction. From the result, it can be seen that the content in grade VII SMP / MTs science textbooks on disaster risk reduction is still lack, so it is necessary to add content related to disaster mitigation to the science book grade VII SMP / MTs.

Abstract

This PKM project aims to improve teacher competence in learning through TPACK training for science and social studies teachers in the Province of DIY. This program was carried out online from April to October 2021 with 65 science and social studies teachers participating. The implementation of PPM activities is divided into five stages, namely the first delivery of material, information-discussion, assignment and training, mentoring and monitoring, implementation and evaluation of activities. The result of implementing the program is that participants gain an understanding of learning tools, have the skills to develop their learning tools and increase motivation in developing their learning tools based on TPACK

Abstract

The successful implementation of disaster risk reduction efforts and its integration with science learning can be measured using a measuring instrument in the form of a test instrument that specifically measure the achievement of student’s concept mastery of disaster and student’s preparedness of disaster. This study aimed to develop an instrument to assess the risk reduction efforts of volcanic eruption in natural science learning and determine the validity and reliability of these instruments. The development of the instrument uses a 4-D model from Thiagarajan, consist of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The instruments developed include the questions of mastery assessment concepts of volcanic eruption and its effort to reduce the disaster risk and the questions of disaster preparedness assessment. Testing the validity and reliability of the instrument was conducted empirically on 210 students. Data analysis was performed descriptively using the QUEST program. The study produced 35 items of valid concept mastery assessment items that had a very high level of reliability with the value of reliability of estimate of 0.95 and 15 items of valid disaster preparedness assessment items that had a very high level of reliability with the value of reliability of estimate of 0.98.

Abstract

As a country with a high level of vulnerability to volcanic disasters, Indonesia must have good preparedness in dealing with these disasters. One of the efforts to improve preparedness is through learning in schools so that the community has been introduced to disaster mitigation from an early age. This study aims to (1) produce a science subject-specific pedagogy that is integrated with volcanic eruption disasters and (2) find out the effectiveness of the use of integrated science subject-specific pedagogy of volcanic eruption disasters to students’ disaster concept mastery and preparedness in disaster mitigation. This research is R&D research with a 4-D model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subject of this study was 7th-grade students whose school is located in a disaster-prone area for the eruption of Mount Merapi, Yogyakarta. Data were obtained from tests and non-tests, including concept mastery tests, preparedness tests, questionnaires, and performance observations. The data were analyzed descriptively using MANOVA's gain score and inferential statistics using the SPSS 22.0 program. The results of this study show that (1) the science subject-specific pedagogy product developed is included in the very good category based on validation results from expert and learning practitioners, and (2) science subject-specific pedagogy is effective for improving students’ disaster concept mastery and student preparedness in facing disasters. Overall, this science subject-specific pedagogy product is feasible for science learning and has been proven to improve students' preparedness and mastery of concepts regarding volcanic eruption disasters.

Abstract

Abstrak- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbantuan video percobaan yang layak digunakan dalam meningkatkan capaian hasil belajar fisika ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif peserta didik pada materi usaha dan energi, 2) mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif peserta didik sebagai prediktor yang baik bagi capaian hasil belajar, dan 3) mengetahui hubungan antara berpikir kritis dan kreatif peserta didik dengan capaian hasil belajar pada topik usaha dan energi menggunakan media pembelajaran berbantuan video percobaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (RD) dengan model 4D. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) media pembelajaran berbantuan video percobaan layak digunakan dalam meningkatkan capaian hasil belajar fisika ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif peserta didik dengan kategori baik, 2) kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif peserta didik merupakan prediktor yang baik bagi capaian hasil belajar, dan 3) variabel kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif memiliki hubungan dengan hasil belajar ranah kognitif peserta didik.Kata Kunci: video percobaan, berpikir kritis dan kreatif, usaha dan energi

Abstract

Abstrak- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran E-LKPD berbasis multimedia dalam materi getaran harmonis, (2) mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan materi getaran harmonis peserta didik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan E-LKPD berbasis multimedia, dan (3) mengetahui peningkatan kemandirian belajar peserta didik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan E-LKPD berbasis multimedia. Desain penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (RD) model 4-D dengan 4 tahap, yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X di SMA N 1 Wates tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Teknik analisis data kelayakan media menggunakan Simpangan Baku Ideal (SBi), peningkatan penguasaan materi dan kemandirian belajar menggunakan standard gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran E-LKPD berbasis multimedia hasil pengembangan layak digunakan dalam materi getaran harmonis, serta peningkatan penguasaan materi dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan E-LKPD berbasis multimedia termasuk kategori sedang.Kata-Kata kunci: E-LKPD, penguasaan materi, kemandirian belajar, dan getaran harmonis.
