Abstract

Tinder is one of the most popular dating applications in Indonesia which is often used to find a partner because of the large number of users. However, there are several other motives for using Tinder by its users. This study aims to determine how the virtual self-concept is formed by users of the Tinder Application in finding a partner. The type of research carried out by the researcher is qualitative with interviews and observations in previous studies. This study was analyzed using the self-concept theory by William H. Fitts to examine the dimensions of the virtual self-concept by Tinder users. The results of the research obtained are that the virtual self-concept presented by male and female users is that they feel they do not want to overestimating themselves, but also not too low as self-esteem. Second, users provide a self-concept that seems friendly and open in order to get to know each other more closely with other people.

Abstract

A persuasive communication strategy as a form of strengthening customer relations in hospitals is very necessary. This is one of the duties of a public relations person, in establishing and maintaining the hospital's image. This research aims to examine and find out the strategies used by officers when lobbying and negotiating in handling customer complaints at the Wates regional general hospital to reach an agreement. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data was obtained by conducting interviews with 2 patients, 1 management expert and 2 doctors, observation and documentation. From this research, the results showed that the lobbying and negotiation strategy carried out by RSUD Wates went through several stages, namely preparation, building relationships, gathering information, using information, offering, closing offers, implementing agreements. The importance of the presence and role of public relations in handling complaints also plays a role as a facilitator in the problem-solving process. It can be seen that the ranks/TOP management also plays a role as public relations, which supports and helps the problem-solving process and in handling various customer complaints at a serious level, so that the image and reputation of the hospital can be maintained well. Strategi komunikasi persuasif sebagai bentuk penguatan relasi pelanggan pada rumah sakit sangat diperlukan hal ini merupakan salah satu ketugasan dari seorang public relation, dalam membentuk maupun mempertahankan citra rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mengetahui bagaimana strategi yang digunakan oleh petugas saat melakukan lobi dan negosiasi dalam penanganan keluhan pelanggan pada rumah sakit umum daerah wates untuk mencapai kesepakatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara bersama 2 pasien, 1 piham manajemen dan 2 dokter, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dari riset ini diperoleh hasil bahwa Strategi lobi dan negosiasi yang dilakukan oleh RSUD Wates melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu persiapan, pembinaan hubungan, pengumpulan informasi, penggunaan informasi, penawaran, menutup penawaran, menerapkan kesepakatan. Pentingnya kehadiran dan peran public relation dalam penanganan keluhan juga berperan sebagai fasilitator proses pemecahan masalah terlihat jajaran / TOP manajemen berperan juga sebagai public relation, yang mendukung dan membantu proses pemecahan masalah serta dalam menangani berbagai keluhan pelanggan di level berat, sehingga citra dan reputasi rumah sakit dapat terjaga dengan baik.

Abstract

The research is aimed at finding out the objectivity of Pilpres 2024 hoax announcement on the Facebook account Kompas.com. The theory used in this study is the theory of media objectivity. This research is a quantitative research using news content analysts. The object of this research is hoax announcement in the election of 2024 presidential candidates on the Facebook account Kompas.Com. Analysis of research data using content analysis techniques. The results of the research published on Facebook Kompas.com are by considering the aspects of the message as investigated in this study that are the dimensions of truth, relevance,balance and neutrality. The results of the research show that on the unit of analysis is the explaining factuality associated with the accuracy assessment that is more dominant than the overall news. The social media hoax in the election of apresidential candidate does not completely influence the reader in determining his choice, he will understand the event based on the information he has received with his experience, in this case his experience can be gained by analyzing the event on the basis of other sources that are more reliable.

Abstract

Good leadership requires the ability to communicate with all elements related to being led so that all organizational goals can be achieved. The presence of women in various public sectors shows the suitability of women to take part and even hold policy-making positions. The presence of several female leaders in Indonesia who occupy leadership positions and the presence of the first female Deputy Regent of Wakatobi elected to lead the Wakatobi Regency area needs to be used as a bullet in the progress of opening up opportunities for women to move in the public space. The focus of this research objective is on what kind of communication style is applied to the female leadership of the Deputy Regent of Wakatobi when leading Wakatobi district in implementing public policy. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The 6 informants were selected using purposive sampling technique. The research results show that the communication style of women's leadership in implementing existing public policies is two-way communication; structured; open to receiving suggestions; fast handling.

Abstract

This article aims to determine council members' involvement in carrying out their duties and responsibilities related to community empowerment. Furthermore, to find out how council members maximize the potential of the region and its community with a power and policy approach. Political CSR is an inherent obligation of parliamentarians because the people elect them in a formal and legal contest. The carried-out mandate should present full responsibility to struggle for the community's welfare in internal work as a legislative product holder and external work in serving the community. This research uses an intrinsic case study approach with the object of research on legislative members in the Grobogan Regency. The socio-political responsibilities of the parliamentarians will be studied based on the triple C approach; they are Community Relations, Community Empowerment, and Community Service. Community relations aim to foster a harmonious relationship between organizations (politicians) and the community to increase social awareness and mutual understanding. Community Empowerment is an effort to develop community potential and overcome existing societal problems. The involvement of council members in community empowerment is implemented in three stages: good community relations, community empowerment in the form of community advocacy, and creating an institution that educates the community and community service by prioritizing comprehensive services.

Abstract

The revitalization of the Youth Organization is an important key to restoring the passion and activeness of youth organizations in Tambalan Village, Pleret, Bantul after a period of vacuum due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a digital approach, especially the use of social media and websites, this activity aims to strengthen communication, collaboration, and youth participation. This study shows that the main challenge faced is the lack of information management and documentation of activities that can affect the effectiveness of the organization. Therefore, it is also necessary to play an active role in youth members in using and utilizing the existence of social media. The implementation of the activity proves that through socialization, training, and development of digital platforms, Karang Taruna Surya Ndadari has succeeded in increasing interaction and information coverage. Thus, revitalization through digital media is expected not only to improve organizational performance, but also to encourage active community participation in various social activities. This is expected to be able to restore the strategic role of youth organizations in community development.

Abstract

This study examines the role of social media in shaping online media practices in Malang, focusing on Jatim Times and Tugu Media Group. This study aims to see how both media use platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to spread news, engage with audiences, promote content, and attract advertising. This study uses a qualitative approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews with social media managers, journalists, and editors and analyzing the content on their social media. By comparing interviews, content, and activities on social media, this study provides an overview of how social media influences their strategies. The results show that social media is essential in expanding audience reach, strengthening media identity, and increasing advertising revenue. However, the challenge is how the media balances these promotional efforts while maintaining the credibility of the information that is the primary basis of the media. The benefits of this study are that it will provide a deep understanding for media practitioners and researchers about integrating social media into local media strategies, as well as the challenges faced in maintaining credibility in the digital world. Further research is recommended to focus on the ethical challenges of using social media for news dissemination in Indonesia. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji peran media sosial dalam membentuk praktik media online di Malang, dengan fokus pada Jatim Times dan Tugu Media Group. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana kedua media tersebut menggunakan platform seperti TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, dan Twitter untuk menyebarkan berita, berinteraksi dengan audiens, mempromosikan konten, serta menarik iklan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan manajer media sosial, jurnalis, dan editor, serta menganalisis konten yang ada di media sosial mereka. Dengan membandingkan wawancara, konten, dan aktivitas di media sosial, penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana media sosial mempengaruhi strategi mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial memiliki peran penting dalam memperluas jangkauan audiens, memperkuat identitas media, dan meningkatkan pendapatan dari iklan. Namun, tantangannya adalah bagaimana media menyeimbangkan upaya promosi tersebut dengan tetap menjaga kredibilitas informasi yang menjadi basis utama media. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman mendalam bagi praktisi media dan peneliti tentang integrasi media sosial dalam strategi media lokal, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam menjaga kredibilitas dalam dunia digital. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk lebih fokus pada tantangan etis dalam penggunaan media sosial untuk penyebaran berita di Indonesia.
