Abstract

Medan City is the third largest city in Indonesia which has a population in 2022 of 2,494,512 people, with a population density of 9,413 people/km2. Based on BPS data in 2022, the number of motorized vehicles in Medan City is 288,378. One of the main problems in Medan is the existence of traffic jams. This study discusses the mapping of road capacity on secondary arterial roads in Medan City. The method used is Web GIS-based mapping which provides mapping information in digital form. The data in the study ar e traffic volume data, road geomic data, and Medan City administration maps. From the results of the study, the large road capacity in the research area was obtained namely Yos Sudarso A Road amounting to 1,485.8 smp / hour, Yos Sudarso B Road amounting to 1,485.8 smp / hour, Putri Hijau Road amounting to 1,744.2 smp / hour, Balai Kota Road amounting to 1,744.2 smp / hour, and Guru Pattimpus Road amounting to 1,679.6 smp / hour.

Abstract

Penggunaan pondasi tiang pancang sebagai solusi pondasi bangunan menjadi penting ketika tanah di bawahnya tidak memiliki daya dukung yang memadai untuk menopang beban bangunan yang bekerja di atasnya (Sardjono HS, 1988). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung nilai daya dukung pondasi tiang pancang tunggal dan kelompok berdasarkan data Standar Penetration Test (SPT) dengan menggunakan metode Meyerhoff (1976).Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa nilai daya dukung pondasi tiang pancang tunggal dengan diameter 0,8 meter dan kedalaman tanah 19,9 meter, berdasarkan data SPT pada Bore Hole 1, adalah sebesar 2257,812 kN (225,7812 ton). Sementara itu, nilai daya dukung pondasi tiang pancang kelompok dengan diameter yang sama dan kedalaman yang sama, dihitung berdasarkan Efisiensi menurut Converse-Labarre sebesar 11410,979 kN (1141,0979 ton) dan berdasarkan Efisiensi menurut Los Angeles Group sebesar 6747,224 kN (674,722 ton).

Abstract

Currently, seismic load code for building and other structures SNI 1726:2019 have been enacted as a revision of SNI 1726:2012. Based on earthquake maps on both standards, North Sumatra is one of the provinces located in the earthquake area with high intensity. From the results of previous studies found changes in the spectrum design responses due to the establishment of SNI 1726:2019 as a revision of SNI 1726:2012 in Indonesia. Researchers are interested in discussing this change by reviewing 33 cities / regencies in North Sumatra Province. The results showed that there were changes in the site coefficients Fa and FV, spectral acceleration parameters SS, S1, SDS, and SD1 in most of the cities reviewed. In addition, there is also an anomalous phenomenon that occurs in the cities / regencies with Ss 0.8 g.

Abstract

Pada sektor pertanian, air adalah salah satu unsur yang sangat penting. Agar tanaman pertanian bisa tumbuh dengan baik sepanjang tahun, air harus terjamin ketersediannya. Hal tersebutlah yang melatarbelakangi tim kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk mengaplikasikan ilmunya kepada petani yang masih memanfaatkan irigasi tadah hujan seperti di Desa Pantai Gemi, Kecamatan Stabat, Kabupaten Langkat. Hal utama dan prioritas yang menjadi permasalahan pada Desa Pantai Gemi khususnya Kelompok Tani Setia Kawan yang menjadi mitra pengabdian adalah tidak tersedianya air pada saat musim kemarau untuk mengairi sawah/tanaman holtikultura. Tidak tersedianya air mengurangi produktivitas petani. Dibutuhkan sumber air alternatif sebagai penyedia air pada musim kemarau. Solusi yang ditawarkan pada kegiatan ini berupa pemanfaatan air tanah dangkal sebagai sumber air irigasi melalui pembangunan irigasi air tanah dangkal. Metode ini memanfaatkan air tanah dangkal dengan bantuan mesin pompa air yang mengalirkan air tanah yang sudah di bor sebelumnya untuk kemudian dialirkan langsung ke areal pertanian. Water is one of the most important elements in the agricultural sector. The availability of water must be guaranteed so that plants can grow well throughout the year. This is the background for the community service activity team to apply their knowledge to farmers who still use rain-fed irrigation, such as in Pantai Gemi Village, Stabat District, Langkat Regency. The main thing and priority that becomes a problem in Pantai Gemi Village, especially the Setia Kawan Farmer Group which is a service partner is the unavailability of water during the dry season to irrigate rice fields/horticultural crops. The unavailability of water reduces the productivity of farmers. An alternative water source is needed as a water provider in the dry season. The solution offered in this activity is the use of shallow groundwater as a source of irrigation water through the construction of shallow groundwater irrigation. This method utilizes shallow groundwater with the help of a water pump machine that drains groundwater that has been drilled previously and then flows directly to agricultural areas.
